Hi everyone! Sorry I am late getting this review up. I actually have a project car that I am working on to surprise the Raiti's Rides family with. Thank you for tuning in and your awesome support!
I know the Armada is a dinosaur by today’s standards but I can’t help but love it. If I lived in the suburbs I would consider it solely for it’s solid feel and V8 engine.
A good quality back up camera + screen size compared to other large SUV's in that price range, also a full digital gauge cluster and touchless lift gate. I have a QX80 sensory and it's a great car, it just lacks some up to date tech. The 2025 armada/qx80 will update everything though.@@JokerG16
@@JokerG16Head-up display, full digital instrument cluster, ventilated rear seats, panoramic roof, interior LED lighting. But even without all of that, I still love this truck and will take this over most of its competitors.
@@jz7551 coming from an Murano to the Armada, i definitely agree on the pano sunroof. almost 2 yrs later i still miss all the light it brought to the cabin. but i think because this is a global vehicle, those niceties aren’t really cared for by the ppl overseas. i say that because even the new Land Cruiser 300 and LX 600 which are global, don’t have pano roofs still. the cooled rear seats i could see being a thing but would interior LED lighting and heads up display really alter the driving experience? the digital cluster i personally don’t mind it being analog with the 7” display in the middle. kind of a best of both worlds. plus when things break in the future i won’t be completely SOL
I give them huge props for not leaving open space in the center console and using actual doors to be able to close off storage gaps. So many new SUV's leave open space to charge phone, etc and cheap out on adding a retractable cover.
Very underrated but definitely one of the best old school SUVs out there. Love that naturally aspirated V8 that you don't need 91 for. This is on my short list for my next vehicle.
If only this beast had a panoramic sunroof, better resolution, way better gas mileage, and more activities for the 3rd row, this would be the dominance of KING sized SUVs. 🔥❤️
It won't be possible because 5.6 V8 QR56 engine isn't compatible with transversal mounting. In addition, in Nissan group there's no transverse transmission compatible with the torque of that V8 engine.
I am really on the edge of getting one. Only concerning thing for me is the gas mileage.. i currently have a lifted 4runner which is not the best on gas mileage either 😂.. this video is kinda pushing me towards buying the armada.. i want to get a Japanese V8.. they r getting extinct..
You're in the same boat I was a few month back. I have a 2023 4runner trd OR premium plus. Love it. My wife wanted the Armada for years, and I never even gave it a second look. 6 months ago I bought it for her in platinum with pearl white and tan leather interior. My word it's nice. I just feel so dominant on the road and get gitty like a kid again when I put the pedal down and hear the Roar of the v8. I researched the competition and I found that I don't want American anymore. They're just unreliable. I've had experience with Ford, dodge and chevy. I'm all set. I wanted Japanese fullsized suv, full body on frame, v8, 3 rows, TV screens for kids, captains chairs, and all sorts of safety tech for family all for around 60-70k new. Well Armada ticked all those boxes. Anything else would've been between 80-100k and im not prepared to spend that much on american. Plus the Armada being built in japan was a big sell for me. People are saying that thing can go 250k miles easy with just basic maintenance
Hey Joe……..just saw you on “rare cars” channel. You were in a ‘70 Cuda, I think. I agree with the crushed leather on the door panel. Looks like a 1982 Cadillac Fleetwood. 🤣
This Nissan Armada Platinum Compared with: - Toyota Land Cruiser 300 - Honda Pilot Black Edition - Ford Expedition Timberline - Chevrolet Tahoe RST - Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat - Lincoln Navigator Black Label - Cadillac escalade ESV - GMC Yukon Denali - Acura MDX A Spec - Infiniti QX80 Sensory - Lexus LX 600 F Sport - Jeep Grand Cherokee/Grand Wagooner 4x4 - And More
The mismatch between the exterior and the interior. The exterior looks like a modern day full size SUV, but the interior, Nissan found extra extra parts from the 90s and put them in this Armada. FYI Nissan you own infinity! You could’ve done so much better on the exterior and especially in the interior. So don’t ever blame lack of sales if you ever discontinue the Armada. But blame yourself for lack of creativity throughout the vehicle for your poor sales.
If kids have their own cell phones and tablets or laptops, why do cars still come with LCD screens in the headrest still? For 0-7 year olds? Just have plenty of USB ports.
I love the boxy shape but I would go for a Yukon or Suburban. Even when they are a bit more expensive , you get more engine options and a better cargo area.
FT long Twinkies 4shur. The Truck is ok but it feels like Nissan isn t giving this one much love and yeah it s cheaper than the Comp but ya get what ya pay for and these are very niche as you don t see these or the overpriced Infiniti very much but if I won it in a raffle I d learn to live with it.
My family just rented one of these for a day trip. We had 6 passengers total. Gotta be honest the back 2 rows are terrible. No sliding second row?? The knees in the back made me think it was a mid size vehicle.
what's wront with this country when we talk about a 70k SUV without batting an eyelash? Are we all this rich, or have we forgotten what our money - and our work - is worth? is a gas-guzzling land pig all we can expect for that much money? It looks like crap. glossy plastic, awful gauges, bland interior, small sunroof. I'm no Nissan hater, but this offering is an insult. I hate pickups, but a crew cab pickup gets better appointments than this joke. Proud and independent American (or person in markets where these lumps are sold) ? Stop buying this crap. Send a message. Just because they put it on your plate doesn't mean you have to eat it. good job as always, joe.
My thing with the 2023 Nissan Armada is just give it a second row bench and quit it with these bucket seats. Yes I agree with the panoramic sunroof is a must on this large SUV. BUT the back end of the overall framed SUV should of been pushed back and left out that silly rear bumper that awkwardly sticks out to make more leg room for the 3rd row passengers. And those damn silly looking 3rd row headrests needs to look like the 2nd row to make it more cleaner. And definitely rethink and redesign the dashboard with better looking flat screens. Other than that it would look amazing. Heck with it, go all out for a newer Long Base version as well?
Well, I said the same thing about The Chevy's GMC's like the Denali and the Cadilac, Escalade, Why buy Cadillac Escalade. When you can buy the Denali, are the Chevy, High Country. They offer the samething So if we say that the Armada a better buy, we can say the same thing thing about these other companies that share same motor and chasse like Infiniti and Nissan. These trucks are really nice, tho.
Raiti didn't look like he enjoyed doing this review Lol. We are literally less than 90 days from 2024 and this top of the line Armada is a fail at best.
As the current owner of an Armada Platinum, I must say that the Patrol platform still is relevant today only because of its old school smoothness and power. On the other side, she is way overdue for a modern day redesign that will retain the big power and smooth ride, yet incorporate a more sophisticated powertrain with some modern technology. Hopefully the 2025 won’t disappoint.
@@JokerG16 True but also as a current Armada owner and past Escalade/Expedition owner …. The Armada drives better, but has the worst gas mileage. It definitely can be improved.
To me unless you're traveling with 6 6 ft tall passengers it seems like this vehicle has plenty of room You just need to put your smaller passengers in the third row.
I think that the only reason why they don't put the rear windshield under the spoiler is because the glass may not be able to open up....or they're just lazy lol
I own a 2023 Armada AWD. I was impressed at how quiet this V8 engine is on highway speeds and the comfort level of these seats. The interior is well insulated at keeping things quiet. The only thing the Infiniti model has over this is anti-body roll suspension system, not worth the 10k upgrade and to be honest, this exterior looks much better then the Infiniti model. Great review you 2!
yeah the hydraulic body motion control is only available on the Sensory trim of the QX lol. i think it should’ve been available across the board. but either way, i love my rig. i have a 22 SL
@@JokerG16 Agree, or at least give us an option for it. But to keep things Infiniti only, they had to give them a bone to separate the 2 otherwise nobody would grab the Infiniti model 😆
@@JoseMendoza-gq1bx right lol. but you remember how the older model QX80s had much more of a different interior than the Armadas back in the days, especially the 14-20 models. the Limited had those white wood trims, different designed seats and such. then they got lazy and just made them carbon copies of the Armadas lol idk what went wrong.
This, and especially the Infiniti version, are a hard pass! An all new generation is coming next year. Maybe, if Nissan/Infiniti gets their act together, those will be actual contenders in the market. I'm not holding my breath though.
😖 I'm SICK of people hating on the key fob. Just because Nissan introduced the perfect FOB in 2006 doesn't mean throw away the perfection for something worse, chunkier, heavier, whatever just to do it because because... Once you reach perfection - STOP.
They are already using a high resolution camera on the Rogue (or was it the Pathfinder?), I don’t why they don’t make standard across the entire lineup
Just got a 23 Armada! Love the drive, but trying to figure out how to get music to play in speakers on side doors.. All the sound is coming from the front dash.. Please tell me this can be adjusted..
I used to have this car in the uae and I am from the uae and the way we got the car is that my dad sent the money to America for that car and then America transported the car to the uae and then he came to take the car but now we no longer have armada now we have Nissan patrol 2023 LE platinum city Can you make a review of it?
They keep it simple, functional and affordable! V8 is much better than some struggling engine that needs a turbo to get any power I have a 2023 Pathfinder SL ❤ may trade in my 2018 Titan SL FOR ONE SOON.
They honestly could keep this around even longer if they swap this older V8 with a detuned version of the Z powertrain & plz even if the camera view is gonna be that small, just give it HD cameras. This vehicle is too big to have that terrible 360-camera quality.
I agree. I don't like their seats how you sit on it vs in and I've never liked the wrinkle look on the doors. Interior still looks old to me. Do you have any news on the updated armada? How quiet is the cabin?
