Nice! Been drooling over the 250X since it came out! I had a 125X that I totally regret selling. I have a 2018 TE250 that is set up pretty good. I have ridden the YZ platform 2 strokes and I will say they are the best handling bikes. Compared to all my european bikes I have owned. You could start the 125 with your hand. I have 2023 WR450F that is awsome. But I get more tired on the four strokes than I do the two strokes. I am a 2 stroke lover.
I hear that 125 is so fun! Yes I've had a few ktm bikes and I love them but the way the yz handles is just better! Wish it had an e start and 6 gears bit the handling is so good that I still choose this bike over the others!
People make way too big of a deal about kickstarting the bike. Coming from all electric-start bikes, I bought a '23 YZ 250. 90% of the time on the trail, I bump start it. The other 10% of the time it starts first kick. My previous bike being a gas gas EX350, it took some getting used to the YZ. The weight, the suspension, and obviously the power delivery are completely different, and I absolutely loved my 350. Now, I don't really feel at a disadvantage on the 250 on any terrain at all, and 80% of what I ride is tight technical single track. On the moto side, the two strokes just fly! If you're riding a four stroke and jump on a two-stroke, you will definitely unintentionally OJ everything your first lap!
Kicking its not so bad! It only sucks on hill if I crash because I'm short. And in rough terrain if I stall it and am already exhausted from the terrain then it sucks to kick! But 90% of the time it doesn't bother me and is actually fun and nostalgic! I love both 2t and 4t! I usually have 1 for a couple years then sell and trade back to the other
I have a 08 wr250f and I am a really good rock rider for being female and 60 I have over 900 hrs on that WR and loved it I got the bike new right after I had part of my lung removed I have really bad COPD and PAH both really bad if you ride. I can keep up with the boys on the KTM and always did really well on anything open. I just got a 24 yz250x and I'm sorry I didn't get one sooner. I absolutely love the bike and I have had to kick it on a rocky hill and yes my WR250F was easy to start on a hill like this the YZ is just so much easier to ride and easier to ride faster.. Estart is 1k more if you need one but this bike is probably as easy as it can be for me to look good on.. Enjoy your new bike I know I am..
Heck yeah I love hearing about girls who ride! And at 60! You rock!! Yes the wr is a great bike to! But isn't it such a breath of fresh air to go from that to the yz?? So much lighter and like you said easier to go fast on!! Keep on riding thanks for watching!
Kick start is fine yea... however you can't deny e start is nice. On a steep hill for a short rider an e start is a game changer and saves a ton of energy when in tough situations
I bought a X in 16 when they first came out, absolutely loved the bike kept it for years if you want a updated 250x feel with all the trick components and a better motor go ride a carb TM I have two 300s that do it all and have a massive grin 😁
Thanks for watching man! Yeah the bike handles soooo dang good! It's just lacking in the tech department! No clue why yamaha wouldn't put an e start on this!
The ktm prettt much doesn't vibrate at all... however the yz is definitely not as bad as older 2 strokes! I honestly barley notice the vibration. My buddy has an 06 yz and it feels like a giant sander it vibrates so much! It's not an issue at all on this 2023
