The Raptor gets a bunch of updates for 2024. On the outside you will see a new grill, lighting, wheels and graphics. On the inside there is a 12in infotainment system screen, unique seats and steering wheel. Under the hood is a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 that produces 450HP & is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor a BETTER NEW truck to buy than a Ram 1500 RHO?

I think I’d still go with the Raptor. The 3.5 ecoboost is tried and true and the new hurricane engine is too new for reliability data. Plus I’m a Ford guy so that helps my decision as well lol

I bought this same truck 2 weeks ago with no mark up. More dealers are removing the mark ups on this package anyway. The R version is a different story of course.

I went from a 2018 gen 2 raptor to a 2024 and the ride and 10speed are a huge improvement. They don’t even feel closely related. However I still do think that the Gen 2’s are a massive value for $40-50k

It is good that Ford gets some competition for the Raptor, because the prices have gotten out of control. Coming in 10k below with a comparable product will at least stop the stealership markups, and maybe force everyone to turn the price knob down a notch.

I tried to place an order on the RHO and had to add 10,000 option package if I wanted heated seats. It ended up being more expensive than the Raptor by ten grand if I wanted the moon roof, running boards…etc.

Ford has done some magic with the styling. It actually has nice sculpting on the sides, the front and the back. It’s a very cool truck no matter what. However, when Joe did the drive away for the exhaust sound, sounded like a Volvo wagon or something. The Raptor V8 just sounds so much better. And the so-called eco-boost gets 15 miles per gallon in the city so you’re not gonna be losing a lot of mileage by getting a V-8. Raptor on…

Owned both a v6 and R v8 3rd gen. Speaking from experience, and for the price, no reason to spend $50k+ more for the v8. Its marginally faster, with horrible mpgs, 11 on a good day. Basically the same truck 99% of the time. Go v6!

RHO all day. The width of the Raptor is literally mostly fender flare. RHO is metal body width. Graphics on the Raptor are terrible. 450hp for $10k more than the RHO. It's a lose lose.

RHO is the better value and has a nicer interior, I still would take the Raptor......it's the original Baja theme truck. It's also a proven platform. Ford does need to look at pricing and stop taking parts and features off. Since 21', no more torsen front diff, no more ac digital read outs, no more ambient lighting, and now they're going to make the keypad an option. They also need to give a bump in power. My Gen 2 is looking better and better.

I would get one cause there one hell of a bad ass truck and they kick ass specially in the desert with the Baja races night that guy drove his from Florida all the way down there to the track and the guy goes are you going home? He goes hell no I’m gonna drive the damn thing all the way back and he won the race. He won. The race raptor truck is won bad ass truck.
