Love Raiti's Rides! The channel continues to go from strength to strength. Great content and production. Always my first stop to go ON THROTTLE with any new reviews. Great job Joe and Lori! You guys rock!
In my family, we had 4 Mustangs and 7 Camaros. With that in mind, I take the Camaro RS 6cyl. 335 HP is all I need. The handling on the Camaro is outstanding. I feel it's sharper and quicker in transition. Style is where the Mustang teases me, but I'm way past getting fooled by a pretty dress.
Yellow + Mustang = Modern Classic ❤ Drop the over the top stripe, Drop the blue calipers (suggest red if you want them to pop), Opt for the Bronze Package to accent the Yellow Splash, Opt for the GT Performance Package, and the MagneRide dampening. Above all… six speed manual 😈.
I actually have always liked how the rear end looks on the new gen, I’m still warming up to the front end, the s550s looked more agile and aggressive and less broad, bulky and heavy to me. I also don’t have any issues with interior, makes me feel like you’re in a cockpit of a rocket ship. The doors are still retro enough. Thanks for another amazing review!
It’s a great looking pony car I don’t see how any company can make a better looking pony car. The only thing I don’t like is the Dash. I wish they had traditional gauges with a nice brushed aluminum finish.
"Right off the bat......I love this car, the color/stripes are sharp BUT I would choose dark wheels and the blue calipers are gross with a yellow car." Other than that this Mustang is AWESOME. Thanks you two for another great review. PS: USA
As a Mopar guy owning 3 Challengers (SRT-8. 1320 Scat Pack, HellCat) I did buy a new 2019 Mustang Gt Performance Pack and hate to admit the Mustang really excited me to drive. It just felt very sporty, the way that 10 spd shifts down the 1/4 mi. with quick snaps, and loud exhaust, man I miss it. Wife traded it in hating the lack of backseat room. Love that new yellow splash color. Makes me want another one!
@@shanec8224 as far as the feel sitting in it and the driving experience hugging the curves yes! I owned a Gt performance pack it was an amazing car! I was able to rip off 11.8 ets in 1/4 miles with it. HellCat fastest for me was 12.1. Just couldn’t get traction even feathering gas outta the hole with those stock tires. Even my 1320 consistently runs 11.7’s.
Chevy never could get the Camaro styling right over its entire time except for the 67-69 models. They kept changing it up, groping for a design that would work. Never understood it as Chevrolet also brings us the Corvette…beautiful, stylish, and iconic. Sitting inside a Camaro is like sitting in a bunker. Their last designs inside and out look like it was designed by cartoonists. Mustangs have always been fast, fun, and affordable and they look best in colors that pop…say in M&M colors of bright red, blue, green, and yellow. The blue calipers quickly are growing on me and Mustangs are nearly the only car that actually look better with stripes. Excellent review. All the best to all!
I'm usually a Camaro fan and I still am but I'm really digging this Mustang GT and I agree with you on the fake vent .... I have, however noticed the Camaro looking side flared fender for sure... I really like both cars.
When the screens give out and can’t turn on your AC it’s gonna suck …. I’m speaking from experience on another car!!! Never again!! Manual for ac is a must!! The dealer wanted $1k to switch the screen. ! I bought it from eBay for $200 and did it myself… warning for future purchases…
Great review as always Joe! Could you please review the EcoBoost HPP they have there and let us know if it’s worth getting over the non HPP EcoBoost? I’m not convinced the extra $$$ substantiates the HPP option, but I’d really appreciate your thoughts on it (and review).
@@RaitisRides another great Mustang video! I plan to order a GT Premium convertible with the 20” wheels and Brembo package! Not a fan of the wheels on the Performance Package so I will pass on the PP! Since you’ve driven GTs with and without the PP, what are your thoughts on ordering a non-PP GT for daily summer use only (I live in Canada)? Thank you, Joe, and keep up the great work!😎
Absolutely love your nostalgic references. I totally forgot the sharpener with the 64 pack of Crayola crayons. You'll throw these in every now and then and I know EVERY one of them! Keep em coming Joe!
Although the chevy has more torque the 5.0l is way more efficient. And actually one of the most efficient engines( fuel economy but in actual burning of fuel by burning more of the fuel in each stroke). If you compare power per displacement the ford would produce over 600 if blown to 6.2l. Plus the ford sounds way better
Never understood why companies are slowly getting rid of actual spare tires. A compressor does nothing for you if the tire totally blows out. At least with a donut spare you can make it home or to the nearest tire shop
Love my 24 GT S650 6spd! More fun than my previous 21 gt 10r80. Love your vids bro, made me give in to my childhood wants at 51🤓Never too late to have fun! #lovethat5.0
Just an idea, Joe, but if you could sometimes review restored classics such as a Judge GTO, 40 Ford, 49 Mercury, or early Buick muscle car or even the Grand National, that would be great. (My first car memory was riding in my dad's black 1964 Buick Wildcat, and "steering" it while sitting in his lap. I thought I was in the batmobile lol. My brother had a 65 red Mustang convertible, and I recall riding in that, too). Such great cars! Thank you for your reviews!
I know this is a ford video but Joe I need your help! 🤣 Trying to figure out what to buy, trying to decide between 24 Camaro 2SS (automatic) or 24 Cadillac CT5-V (Not the Blackwing) fully loaded V is about 10k more than Camaro. I just don’t want to make the wrong decision, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
Really liking the yellow, makes it look much better. I noticed some light bleed in the grill from the blinker running lights, is that supposed to be that way? @ 3:25
There’s something about a yellow car with silver wheels that doesn’t work for me, throw some black wheels on with those blue calipers? Sold. Even bronze wheels maybe? 🤔
It wasn't until 1969 or 1970 when the new model would come out in August or September. Before that January 2+. Hence the 64 1/2 designation. Straight 6 and 4 cylinder. 1965 302 option, fastback option offered
Before I bought my Stinger, I drove to Mustang GT and a Mustang Bullitt. I chose the Stinger. If you want a Mustang, go drive one. Make sure you get the right car.
The screens are weird. That's a deal breaker for me. I want a speedometer and tachometer, not a video game. I do like the exhaust sound. I love my 2018 Camaro 6 speed!
Hey Joe,it’s Bob Bundy. I met you a few years ago at Walker Ford. I recently purchased a 2022 Mustang GT “Ice White” edition. It was a limited production appearance package option available on 2022 & 2023 Mustang GT’s,Ecoboosts & Mach E’s,(I think they only made like 660 of them,or something like that)!Anyway,i was just wondering if you’d like to do a video on my car?
I own a 2024 Camaro 2SS and I’ll say the seats of the 2024 Mustang GT premium seats feels more comfortable and inside feels more spacious. Has more storage space in the middle console and glove compartment. I like the new big screens with the animations of the different drive modes. I still love my Camaro 2SS with the features it has that the Mustang doesn’t, but both are awesome cars!
I have a 2017 SS M6. In 6th gear at 1800 rpm I’m at 80 to 85 MPH. I live in Atlanta and drove to Valdosta (200 mi) and back on one tank of premium and averaged 28 mpg. Not sure what info you guys have on mileage.
I still remember that a new Ford Mustang GT Yellow Splash has been for along time for a year ago. But That's a lot of more Chevrolet Camaro SS, called Bumblebee.
Yellow splash is not much different than previous yellows on Mustangs. As a S550 owner with a proper digital gauge cluster not some cluster F of a C- attempt of a IP design. I have no lust for the S650
9:32 Are there two air cleaners under the hood? I don’t think I have ever seen that before. The screens are a deal breaker for me. Just not necessary. Even Teslas don’t have that much screen real estate.
Another great Mustang review! Since I don’t care for the wheel options with the Performance Package, I plan order a GT Premium convertible with 20” wheels, auto with the 3.55 rear axle and Brembo package. Since you have driven PP and non-PP GTs, what are your thoughts on my non-PP build for a summer only (I live in Canada) cruiser! Thank you, Joe and Lori, and keep up the great reviews!😎
Hey Joe good video, I like the Yellow GT & stripes. Good overview and comparison to the Camaro SS. Hey the screens are 12.4” on the dash and 13.2” on the center stack. Several RU-vidrs have done videos comparing the weight. Steeda says the basic S650 verses the basic S550 is about the same; the S650 is 10 pounds lighter!!!!!😎 The S650 PP GT is the same or 5-10 pounds heavier over the S550GT PP1 depending on a few option differences. That is surprising since weight was added for dual intake & dual throttle bodies & bigger brakes especially in the rear brakes. Ford lowered weight in the suspension setup. The Mustang seats are lighter than the Camaro seats. Most people replace the exhaust resonator with an X-pipe or H-pipe and save 12 pounds there. So Ford engineers report that the S550 & S650 are basically the same weight. Great camera/video control by Lori‼️ You guys make a fantastic team!!! I only added my inputs to add to your knowledge; not trying to point out any errors! So I humbly just wanted to help out. You guys bust your butt doing more car reviews than anyone in the business!!! So I always talk you guys up with my car friends!!! Happy New Year to you both‼️👍👊💪😎❤️🇺🇸✝️
Love Fords , love Chevys ..For me personally im going with a 1ss .For some reason i liked the older mustang look . but i do like the updated dash and panel on the mustang and think they did a great job ..Both cars going be a blast to drive ..im sure you have better visibility with the mustang , , , For each his own, both great cars ..soon to be classic hot rods in near future when everything is EV ...Keep up the great vids .. / thumbs up
I love the new Mustang. I wish you would have compared a Mustang Convertible to see what the Spec Difference would be as opposed to the Camaro Convertible. Has Mustang discontinued the Convertible? Why don’t they offer a Moonroof as an alternative to the Convertible. Throw in AWD & you have an all-Seasons car. My first car was the 78 Pontiac TransAm. It was a V8 400 with Positraction. I put snow tires on my car & it walked up Mountain’s when Jeeps were stuck. I worked at a factory that was located on Mountaintop, Pennsylvania & I lived on a Mountain too. Sometimes it would snow & when you got to the bottom it was raining. It appeared when you were driving the Mustang as though you had more head room. If there’s no cowl shake then I would prefer the Mustang but in a different color. The Camaro finally looks like it has more headroom but it has too many blind spots & it sits too low to the road. The seats in the Mustang looks like they might hug my body. I’m a smaller person & it might work for me. The fact they aren’t both electric adjustable is a big disappointment. At least it will be around & there’s still time for them to correct that. You 2 do excellent reviews. I appreciate your work.
It’s a great car but that giant screen running across the dash just kills it for me. I’d either go with a 2023 or a Camaro. The S550 generation was peak Mustang in my opinion.
I agree on the dash. It looks cheap and you know ford done it because it is cheap. It wont age well either. Unfortunately, the trend of us paying more for less continues with all the manufacturers. The first manufacturer to come down to reality and build something people can afford, will be the manufacturer that secures some loyalty in this market.
@@Tusuperbis exactly. Mustang buyers don’t want a giant screen like this. The S550 dash and infortainment setup looks timeless to me and will still look great in 20 years because it blended the old with the new, without going over the top on the tech side like the S650 does. And you’re right, knowing Ford this screen will have issues and what happens in 8 years when it dies and you can’t turn on the AC anymore? I don’t want to know how much a replacement will cost.
Around 23:33 you comment about RPM's and engine designs. Hate to tell you but pushrod V8's were not invented by Chevy in 1955. That credit goes to Cadillac and Olds in 1949.
