Dual motors meaning a gas option? Because this would be useless for USA highway travel without a gas option. I'm very interested in the new vans from VW, but if they think USA infrastructure is ready for an all-electric travel van they need to think again. I had to pay to ship my electric car from California to Texas because there simply is no option to drive that distance on electric.
I wanted to add, this is THE BEST channel for all things new cars. Such a great watch. Top marks! It’s the way you deliver the info makes all the difference! Truly!! New car reviews are dime a dozen, so this is what sets you apart from the rest.
Looks nice but as an EV its mediocre just like the rest of the ID series. Poor range, efficiency, no ota updates and crap software. Probably gonna be expensive too.
oh oh I love that the 3rd row of seats can be removed, I freaking love that. gives you flexibility for more cargo room & not be forced to deal with a 3rd row taking up half of rear storage. is this a sign that VW is about to strike again? I hope so. brilliant review - you have streamlined yours style & this is the example of Joe Raitit kicking butt. there goes my hero -
I think the ID Buzz was well thought out, although I would like to see a full bench seat up front that's optional and a storage space or deeper console. And roof racks for bikes and skies, camping items. Also a automatic step up bar for the driver and passenger is a must. And last but not least bigger wheels. The wheels should be a standard 22" inch. I like the longer wheel base for the price I think it will be worth it. I hope they have keyless entry that your mobile device can control.
Will there be plug in hybrid version atleast? Want to get Vans only for the long trip which should not cause any kind of anxiety with reapect to fuel range.
Like the way the back seats don't just fold down but are removable. Great that you can drive around experiencing the world with your VW badge illuminated. Looks like a party bus.
Depends on the price. Once that is established, one can make comparisions for similar priced vans to compare features and decide which vehical gives you the best deal for the money. I currently have a Dodge Caravan that all seats fold flush into the floor so it can be a cargo van or a 7 passenger van depending on your needs for the day. The best part is I never have to remove seats. I've had vans in the past I had to remvove the seats and it's a hassle to lift out and store until you want to put them back in again. Back in the day, the VW bugs and buses where not that expensive compared to other vehicals offered, but not sure if the new VW Buzz with fit that catagory of pricing.
How comfortable was the driver's seat? I have a bone disease and need a good seat. I have to get rid of my Forester because the seat is too small and I can only drive about 20 minutes
Can someone tell me the interior width of the car and the length when all 2nd row and 3rd row seats are folded down? Also do the seats fold flat to carry some 4’x8’ plywood sheets?
This is the very first time I ever heard you not “ZONK” anything about a vehicle,, lol 😂 ..I’m not much of a foreign vehicle fan, but I gotta say, this vehicle is nice 👍🏽 and it brings back memories of the original buzz
Love it! As long as the price isn’t ridiculous, I’m going to see if the wife will go this route. She’s not a car person like I am, but she does love classic VWs, like the Bus, Bug, and Karmann Ghia. And so I think she’ll love this modern take on a classic idea. Thanks for sharing Joe and Steven. Cheers
I would love one! Could the roof have integrated solar panels? Will they come out with a 4 wheel drive version for people who live in the snow and in the mountains?
Joe, I always enjoy watching your reviews. I've been following your channel for so long that I feel like we are friends! The ID Buzz...... I love it! I love it! I love it! As long as the price isn't too steep, then, I do believe this just may be my next vehicle. I thought it was going to be a new Jeep Wrangler, but, maybe not. I just love my 2003 VW Beetle and it has never let me down yet. Thank You! Keep up the good work!! 🚙🚙🚙🚙
I've never been more excited about a vehicle as much as I am about this one. Looks great!!! You had me at "The kid you hate the most"!!! 😂 Great reviews.
Great review Joe, love that VW decided to bring the bus back. i would have liked it more with the classic round headlights. Also, that cheese grater lower front bumper looks cheap to me. The interior looks well sorted and roomy to the very back. I just hope dealer markups are kept in check.
Loving the ID Buzz. When you talked about throwing the kid you hate the most in the 3rd row, Kevin from Home Alone came to mind 😂😅 Love your videos Joe, and great job Steven.
Can’t wait to see one in person!! Would like to see the back with all seats folded down. Is it completely flat and how much vertical space is leftover? Need room for boards! Surf, foil, kite, snow….
2 kinds of cars in the world VW and the rest perfectly blended retro/modern style,282 hp on the single motor is sweet but 330 hp 400+torque is even sweeter💯🙌🏽 cool review
Great short pants buddy. Wearing shorts is perfect for sunny California with the iconic surfer van. oops I meant buz . I just wish you had a matching blue shirt . The camera loves that popping ocean blue color. Color even matches the comment button lol. Electric motor is genius adding so much interior space. And the interior color is so bright and natural. 👍
I’m usually not a Volkswagen guy but I’d definitely consider this if I need a family hauler and wanted an EV!! Definitely nailed the styling with this!! 👽🛸
It looks so nice! It seems that third row with all that space is too upright. None of the videos had shown that it can be reclined at least a few degrees.
At one point, the seats were going to be able to be configured in all different way, including making a bed. And there was going to be a console that could turn into a table. Is that no longer happening?
I have been watching the European commercials for this vehicle since last year and am SO excited to see an American release date. As a retired teacher, I'm going to save all my pennies and get a job to afford it but I'll do it!!
Now That The ID BUZZ Is Out , There 's Tons Of Videos Out There On It - But - But - Wait For It JOE 🤔 😅 😬 - Your 's IS Always ON TOP OF THE HEAP 👏 👍 🏆 👏
Woah Joe, you surprised me brother! I though it would be the ID 7. Well this definitely is some twist considering they got rid of the Beetle. Keep going woth these surprises Joe cause you are 4K away from 1 Mil!!!!
I drove a standard VW bus back in early 70's, 4-door diesel Jetta and later on Jetta Sportwagon. Seeing this video on new VW is exciting and hoping this will be for me if certain criteria is met, especially miles between recharge and lifetime of batteries.
I wonder if solar panels could be rigged to charge the motor if you stayed in the middle of nowhere like two weeks? Would be interesting to know in the future.
Interesting Joe, Still not sure about this one. I have a 23 Cross Sport R Line V6 have said that I'm Not really ready to trade in for this. It is nice but its missing something for me.
I love the design of it but you can't beat a Japanese minivan. Toyota Alphard, Nissan Serena, Honda Stepwagon, etc. I think all countries should copy it because so many of my friends want one in their countries I have a Mercedes V and had Nissan Serena Nismo and it's nice but the one part I hate about Mercedes V and ID Buzz is that you have to take out 3rd seat. It's so heavy and it takes time but all Japanese minivan pops up to the side by one hand or it goes bottom so even kids can do it and get huge backspace. I don't know why Mercedes or VW don't like it but really are so many places where they can get good ideas from Japanese Minivan. Its is so nice. I love the look of ID BUZZ an was thinking of getting one when it comes to Japan but since you have to take ff 3rd seat I said forget it.
