BINGO! You said it best! These losers think it’s the “near” future but it’s more like 20-23 years away still. Most people, like 70% are poor in America and most people live in APARTMENTS!!!!! In NYC where I live most live in apartments from 1875!!! There are NO parking lots thus NO Way for chargers!!!!!
Massive jump coming soon. States and cities across the globe have bans and restrictions on ICE vehicles set, being enacted at various times over the next 10-30 years. Electrification is the future whether its wanted or not...
Your videos are really well set the camera angles & pacing your history on the brand & your own unique spin on how you explain them, simply beautiful my guy🥇
I cannot help but wonder if electric cars will be gone in the next few years.. It doesn't seem sustainable and the ordinary mechanic down the street will never be able to maintain these complex machines.. I will stick with combustion engines for now..
Agree. Mining for those battery components are probably worse for the earth long term. I’m really hoping hydrogen takes off in the next 5 years and replaces electric. Keeps the combustion engine but burns clean. Win win. And the repo man can’t just activate it remotely and have AI drive itself back to the dealer giving you a few more weeks to grind for that payment 😂
250* real world with passengers and using all the electronics in the car. Don't even bring in towing yet. Don't be fooled by that 450. That's with one driver, driving in temperatures neither hot or cold. No need for air conditioning or heat. Radio off and nothing else probably on. Traveling at a very specific speed most likely under 70 the whole time on a highway.
Right! Sometimes I wonder with all of the expensive vehicles coming out that I somehow woke up in a different universe where everyone else has $100,000 burning a hole in their pocket. Just doesn't make sense what the car industry is doing right now.
That’s how capitalism works. I see ICE Escalades all over my area, along with $70k Grand Cherokees and $50k pickup trucks. So long as there’s someone willing to buy them, good for the car makers to sell them. I haven’t purchased a brand new car in decades because I prefer to let someone else to take the depreciation hit. Once people decide that a $1000 or seven year car note is insane, the makers will adjust…hopefully…or they will need another govt bailout which ironically is anti-capitalism.
I really love this vehicle and it was in my top 3 for my next car. However, the electric is just not there yet. 450 miles is more likely cut in half with ac or heat blasting etc. I love it but I think we have a few more years before electric is a good idea. For now I'll stick to my X7. Beautiful vehicle though.
So these will flow in MSRP from between $130,000 & $168,000 ~ but - will that be sufficient for the dealers once they get their hands on them!? On the current new body Escalade- there are dealers still adding $10,000 to $25,000 ‘’market adjustment ‘’ onto the MSRP just because… Plus - the $155,000 Escalade - V = $50,000 “market adjustment,’’ equaling over $200,000 + Add in the newly increased cost warranty: $6,500+, plus Tax, license, wheel protection, maintenance package, and everything else - and those buying the new Escalade-V are spending quarter million. All that being said - so how much of a ‘’Market Adjustment,’’ will these E.IQ’s fetch!? I mean seriously- the median IQ price MSRP will be $150,000 - does this mean $30K + adjustment, another $25K in taxes, license, record breaking extra warranty costs and everything else!? Another $205,000 + Escalade? We’re starting to approach an entry level Bentley here folks. The super wealthy couldn’t care less. What about the guy who’s saved for 10 years for the down payment and has always wanted a new Cadillac. = SOL…. #Reality2024
As someone that’s not a fan of electric vehicles. Cadillac got this one right & tight! It doesn’t look like an electric vehicle. Can’t wait until they release them!!!!
The big factor for EVs is range anxiety. They did a good job dealing with that. Maintenance will be a lot lower than the current escalade, probably cheaper insurance.
I own a 2015 Escalade w/120k miles. It looks and drives like the day I bought it and I've only had minor issues. Though I love it, Cadillac is making it really hard not to give them another 100K..... :). I have friends who bought BMW and Mercedes SUVs around the same time as I bought mine and they all had major headaches with those brands and no longer own those vehicles.
@@georgianbroadcaster4700 We get your rant. I saw you post something similar a few times. I'm 62 worked for both BMW and MBZ decades ago and I embrace the future.
@bohatybr Welcome to the family. Parts and labor will be significantly cheaper. GM knows how to build engines too. The L86 in the Escalade and other GM models is very reliable.
I guess when this electric Cadillac gets stopped in the snow from batttery damage / drainage, there might be enough energy left in the seat warmers to keep you warm until the tow truck shows up, eh?😉
Great review! Thanks Joe and Lori! I had know idea they were making an Escalade EV. Looks great! All other Manufacturers should take note, tuck that wiper underneath the rear spoiler like you say Joe.
@CharlesV27 When you put the map on Google it will say the same thing to the Toyota Yaris on your side and it will arrive at the same time as you with all the torque and speed you have... if the trip is from state to state it will arrive much faster than you and if you want to go On a track you will only be 4 or 5 seconds faster...does that make sense? O want to hear your answer.
General Motors is the only dealership that’s transitioning from gas to electric that actually gets it will you you can still keep the dimensions of your EV like it’s still a gas engine vehicle. The Hummer EV, Lyriq, and now the Escalade IQ. I still want to know will they have a 2025 gas/hybrid option for the Escalade?
I love the design but I'll never buy an electric vehicle because they have no soul, it's like driving the latest maytag, if they make it with a hybrid option then I'll trade in my 2018 Platinum edition Escalade...I love that V8!
Lets see, im guessin $125,000 so lets see how affordable this is for workin folk. 9% interest at 84 months= $2011 per month plus insurance. Man what a steal. 🤣👉🏻🇺🇸
Tesla being the only manufacturer with a reliable charging infrastructure, I'm not touching another brand like Cadillac unless #1 they implement the North American Charging (NACs) plug, #2 they support charging at Tesla chargers. Second would be I'm not buying another $140k Electric car new when the depreciation is 50%, and crazy price reductions, along with high insurance costs due to poor reparability even in minor accidents. Range has to be at that 450+ mil real world, none of this 250-330mi range nonsense on perfect sunny day with no extra 'draw' from other car features. I would have to experience the infotainment's operation system too, for responsiveness, how how they do their navigation and mapping. Love the SUV otherwise, very cool setup.
Knock knock..who is it? Is it Range Rover? No, it's me, the escalade IQ!! And guess what, the SUV sales that normally go to Range Rover will now come to me !! I'm fast and beautiful !!
Grossly Over price, Limited on range, No fog Light and its STILL a EV you will have LOAD of problems late goes BOOOOOOOOM Its a GM Noooo Thanks! Give me a small SUV with gas or a Hybrid as a opt
@@Top5Depot well maybe you enjoy sitting at an electrical box for an hour plus just to get maybe a half charge. So imagine on a road trip 1000 miles, you’re gonna have to stop 3+ times for 3 to 5 hours in total. And it ain’t no Tesla with the fast charging, or imagine pulling up to a charger that is a fast charger and it doesn’t work. Oh, and by the way, I think the statistics are 40% of the chargers are broken on a daily basis.
@@FJB_2024TRUMP Boy this is just so wrong it’s sad. 100 mile charge in 10 minutes. So for a 1,000 mile road trip you’d spend 60 minutes charging total (450 mile initial range plus 6 charging session from fully depleted to 100 miles). Or you could choose to charge more per session if you felt like stopping less times. If you charged to 80% it would only take two charging stops. And there is DC fast charging for non-Tesla EVs. Not quite as fast as Tesla supercharger but still pretty fast. Shocking a Trumper would misrepresent the facts on electric vehicles 😉.
@@Top5Depotwhen you have to tow the battery last less than half of the range, too long the wait time for chargin, and if the battery has a problem and you have to change it is $30k so is a disposable
Who drives long distance when they can fly? But IF you do like to drive long distances, get a gas vehicle that's specifically for that. And an electric beauty like this Escalade just to fuck around within a 30 mile radius around town. 🤔 @@FJB_2024TRUMP
$130k is just insane. I bought a 60k truck and after a few months the thought set in on why the heck did I spend so much on a truck, sold it and got myself a working van. Many people don't realize how much a car actually is until they have to make that monthly payment. I didn't either until that happened, plus the depreciation. Ohh heck no.
THis car has cameras that watch your face at all times and there are microphones that listen to everything said in the car. ONSTAR can watch and listen anytime they want without telling you. Just know this if you buy one.,
I'll have to be financially stable in every sense before purchasing my first supercar. The best thing to do with your money is to invest rightly because money left saving will end up with no returns.
No doubt being financially free and able to afford these luxuries cannot be overemphasized, making smart plans and setting up diversified investment portfolios is quite essential.
It’s an amazing car. It’s also hilarious on how the entire automotive industry decided to switch to EV’s nobody wants. The market will autocorrect and move back to internal combustion. The government can’t change what people want to buy.
Finally an electric vehicle that is nice to look at. This is absolutely beautiful. I did feel that the design of the steering wheel did not match the funky look of the vehicle itself. It felt a bit out-of-date. The pedals too. But otherwise, love it!!
