When I move around any of the 14 or so guitars I have I sometimes have to open a case just to see if its lighter with out the guitar. I swear some of them weigh as much if not more than some of my guitars. I just bought a Squire Contemporary with the middle pickup offset QSR pickups and blue burst top. The pictures don't do it justice. It looks so much better than the picture.
I bought my LP Standard 60s in 2021. I just put a Bare Knuckle Mule p/u in Neck and a BK Riff/Raff in the Bridge w/ BK 550k pots w/ paper in oil caps. I also upgraded the tuners to locking Grovers, the switch to a Switchcraft hand wired switch and a pure tone output jack. I run Elixir 9-42 strings. That guitar ROARS!
Pretty lemon meringue! There is no such thing as 'excessive boxing' if you order something you love and it arrives well protected, especially in these days of careless couriers.
Some just needs to educate him that Lemon MERINGUE pie is topped with MERINGUE, not whipped cream ;) Unless you add Whipped Cream on top of the Meringue!
Looking at you FedEx! Nowadays I only order through a website if they're offering expedited options for this exact reason. I've seen the way EXP orders get handled through distribution and sorting centers and a lot more care is placed on them than if you just send it through FedEx standard shipping where it gets thrown into a freight trailer. They'll actually put it into a separate pallet gaylord to ensure stability. Double boxing is a must these days but it doesn't really matter if you have a shitty carrier handling your packages delivery.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You can always tell when Austin is inspired by the guitar he's playing. He definitely goes outside his comfort zone when he's plucking on the strings.
I just bought a 2021 Les Paul 50s Standard. It had very little use and I got a substantial discount from new. I took it apart like Austin did and took lots of photos. Overall the quality is very good. This is my first Les Paul Standard and I'm very impressed. Sounds and feels great, plus its only 9.0 lbs.
Just bought my 60’s Standard in Bourbon Burst. Received it a week ago today. It’s awesome. I own a 2017 Traditional as well and I prefer it over my Trad. Even after swapping the Trad to 57’s I prefer the 61’s.
Bought one in November 2021 and I absolutely love it. I think people make too big of a deal about the QC. It’s a mostly handmade guitar after all, there’s going to be some scuffs etc. Plus most dealers allow for free return within 30-45days if you do find a bigger issue upon playing. If you’re on the fence, go for it!
Hi Elmore - I just had a whine myself about the QC above but also complimented how great it sounded and looked overall. The QC is important when pretty much every other manufacturer I have bought from can deliver a guitar in AAA condition to me. It just smacks of lazy carelessness either on the part of Gibson or Sweetwater which is sad to see.
I agree obvious marks or issues aren’t acceptable and should be sent back, which is where Gibson certainly drops the ball as this happens a lot. but a lot of these videos seem to put these guitars under a microscope and complain about every little thing. Just doesn’t seem like a big deal to me to have a few marks around the guitar that are not noticeable and only visible looking up close under the right lighting. I feel like the alternative is having a machine do everything like many of the imports
@ICK They don’t hand carve the bodies, however they do hand finish them, sanding the belly carve, painting, finishing, etc. Gibson just posted a look at the factory not too long ago on their YT where you can see that. So there is a decent amount of hands on time. All that said, for the prices they charge, the level of QC issues they have regularly is unacceptable so no excuses being made here just pointing out they in fact do have a high amount of hands on time.
@ICK like I said, not making excuses for them. Nor do I disagree with what you’re saying. Just saying there is hands on processes and that’s where these issues are coming from.
I recently went through THREE of the 60's standards before I got a perfect one. I fianlly ended up buying one with a 10.1 AAA graded top from Eddie's and it's PERFECT. Always buy from a dealer who inspects and takes great pics ahead of time! And my is that one you got FLAMEY!
Pickguard on or off? I’ve seen others say the same thing If you can see the woodgrain-pickguard off (to better see the woodgrain) Solid colour- pickguard on( so the finish doesn’t wear off) But exceptions would be possible
I bought a cherryburst 50s standard a couple months ago that was made in very late 2021. I already had 3 other gibson lp standards made from 2019 thru January 2020. Long story short, unfortunately I definitely noticed a quality control difference from my others one. And I have a confession, I just got rid of it. But good news is I’ll just get an R9 at the right time in the future, and now I get to play my other standards more now; so it’s a win-win in the end.
Beautiful guitar! A work of art. Remember mine? I ordered a 60s reissue, and got the slim neck, but the shell and hardware were 50s. It was still bourbon burst. Exactly what I wanted!
I find that since Gibson started using the plek machine many of the nuts are cut too high. Some stores might tell you it's set to Gibson specs and won't do the work to cut the groves or shave the nut down. If the action on your Les Paul is bad check the string height at the first fret you may need to have the nut shaved down
I don't think you can blame the Plek machine for that any more than you can blame the Plek machine for your lack of understanding of punctuation, spelling or grammar.
I understood your comment just fine. It's a one size fits all. The machine doesn't know the difference. What I'm not a fan of is the way the neck binding caps the ends of the frets.
I agree. I bought a 60s standard from Thomann a few months ago. Sounds fantastic, but the nut is cut extremely high. Far higher than my Fender strat and tele. Far higher than my Epiphone Emperor Joe Pass (1/4 of the price of the Les Paul) and higher than all my acoustic guitars. Poor quality control from Gibson. Screw in to pickguard not straight, nut loose on jack socket. Nothing major but expected better.
Indeed, my Jan 2020 built 50's was all over the place for 1st fret string height, predominantly extremely high. Also had to do a lot of saddle filing to get the radius in the ballpark.
I just got the 50's version of the AAA top from Sweetwater. It has 57 Classic pickups , which I prefer, for a Jazz guitar. The AAA top is gorgeous .Mine is cherry sunburst.
When people send you so many guitars you must clarify "its not a gift". Life is good indeed. Excellent for Sweetwater sponsoring some of your episodes. I've purchased so much from Sweetwater over the last year I feel a little bit connected to this episode! ;-)
Its also a transparency thing with promotional content. RU-vidrs have to disclose when product was given to them for free as it can create bias in a product review
I got one: Played 3 50s necks and my hand didn’t like them, played 3 60s slim neck and just by chance the 3rd one was the one by luck it also had a Fantastic Tea Burst finish and played absolutely perfect up and down the neck after a bit of tweaking.. very pleased with mine 👍🏻🌞❤️⭐️. GIBSON DID UP THERE GAME ON THE ONE I GOT , AND THEY NEEDED TO Cos some of the Standards in the 90s we’re DOGS.. But they have listened to what we expect Thank goodness let’s hope they don’t forget about that 👍🏻🌞⭐️❤️
I just unboxed my Heritage Cherry Studio today and Wow! the top is stunning, lots o flame! and the fit and finish is on point not a flaw on it, all it needs is a couple of adjustments to suit my preference and she is good to go!
Despite having the same wood and flame, the flames doesn't pop as much on a Gibson as compared to a PRS or a Carvin/Kiesel. Those companies tend to darken the flame first with a darker dye before applying the main color. Therefore their flames are more pronounced compared to a Gibson.
I watched a woodworker’s channel, he did a desk top using the PRS way (a guitar builder fan helped him figure it out, since PRS wasn’t interested in letting their secrets out, at least to him) It’s a water based dye that’s hand wiped on and off and the trick is to do the first pass extra dark, then go lighter on the next two coats. That adds TONS of depth to the grain (his was curly, not flamed, it came out looking like a piece of stone, not wood). Gibson tends to just do a color sprayed nitro finish (though it’s electrostatic these days, they run a ground wire to the truss rod, helps even out the coat so there’s no overspray or weird issues that nitro can give (most of the time, the finish errors, that’s where the mod collection get’s their stock from).)
I am perfectly happy with an understated flame top. Some of the really pronounced flames on the ones with the dye jobs get to be too much for me. That is of course a personal opinion. I just got a 60s Lemonburst last week. I kept my eye on their stock. Sweetwater shows you 4 choices you can pick from. I waited until one came up that really caught my eye and I bought it. Looks even cooler in person. I almost switched at the last minute to one that was on sale due to a few blemishes because that top was very boldly flamed and figured but I decided to stick with my original choice. Understated is not always a bad thing. :)
My PRS Custom 24-08 in Charcoal didn’t have the movement I would want to see in the flame. My Gibson has a better looking flame. The PRS almost looks like a satin finish in comparison. Not a big fan of the dye job.
A 2021 60s standard unburst recently came up for sale near me and after enjoying a pair of beautiful Epiphones I thought it's time for a proper Gibson, but what would Trogly do? After watching this I splashed the cash and have zero regrets! The slim neck is so comfortable and the burstbuckers are incredibly versatile. I just need to resist the temptation to throw it on the work bench to take an individual look at its parts and specs.
I just purchased a used '21 Standard with Heritage Cherry Sunburst. I don't think the guitar ever came out of the case. I can't find a scratch or any sign of playing anywhere on the guitar - it's basically new. I have wanted one of these '60 reissue's for a long time and now I finally have one. I absolutely love this thing. Nice review!
I'm glad you took the time to point out some of the QC issues. It's disappointing to see. But getting people pissy about it is probably the only thing that'll make them improve it. I'm glad you enjoyed playing it so much though. In the end, that matters so much more.
I’ve wanted a 60’s LP Standard in Unburst for a while now. The one I played in person was exceptional , and I regret not buying it. Also , I just got an Epiphone Ghost Horse and it’s amazing. Very high quality, but my GH has wood chips/shavings in the case and under the back plate Cover.
I bought an Unburst and it's pretty amazing. Went the opposite direction though. Wanted the heaviest one I could find. Slightly over 10lbs. Absolutely love it. weighs less than my traditional, little bit more than my modern.
Weight is subjective I think., some guys are strong as an ox lol, one man can barley get 100lbs off the floor, another moves that kind of weight at work and at the gym all day., 10lbs to one player will feel like 5 to another
I just bought my first Les Paul a couple weeks ago. 60s standard in “Rum Burst”. Got it off a guy who got it off of the demo shop. Looks the same as Bourbon Burst to me though, which is great anyways
@@austinledley Yeah not sure what the difference is, I actually just reached out to the demo shop from their original listing and asked. I don’t know that I’ll get an answer but worth a shot!
I bought the LP Studio Plus in Bourbon Burst. Which could be called Burgandy burst imho . I bought it just like you did in your selection process, I saw one on the demo line . Picked it out. Then that night on the website I saw a new demo which blew me away. I texted my rep @ Sweetwater and said HEYYYYY I have to have that model. He made the switch and it's in my living room now and is glorious in every way.
I have purchased multiple guitars from Sweetwater. The double box in has saved me from a damaged return due to a forklift, etc. poking a hole in the outside box. I’ll take the extra protection Sweetwater provides. I have had one shipment where the forklift went through both boxes and made a small hole in the case. Sweetwater took care of that immediately. I do like Sweetwater’s customer service and account representatives. 😊
I just bought one a few months ago also via Sweetwater. Mine’s the other exclusive Heritage Cherry Burst with an amazing top 🤙 It’s a great guitar…. No complaints.
I have a 50's Standard I bought when they first released (see my profile pic) that weighs 8.5 lbs. Love it. Just bought a gold top and it's heavier (over 10 lbs), but I love it too. I also got a white Custom and a 335 in the new era. Can't say I'm disappointed at all with any of them. As you can see, my color is exclusive, but it was accidental. Was supposed to be a Heritage Cherry, but wound up lemon (no burst). All of the paperwork and the model said Heritage Cherry Sunburst, but the photo and the guitar say otherwise. The letters were scratched out under the neck pickup. One of a kind for its time.
The only Gibson model that I've ever owned up to now, a 2009 Les Paul Goldtop, was one that I got precisely as you mentioned at the end, pre owned, used just enough to break it in and discounted in the price tag.
When did you get each of them,@@jameskrys5286? Over the last 11 1/2 years that I've lived in New York City, only a few of my own guitars have been brand new. I've tried focusing on purchasing pre owned every chance I can.
My daughter got me the Epi 60's standard i bourbon burst when it came out a couple years ago and I was not an Epi or Gibson fan ever... Till I got that. I absolutely love it. I went to GC and checked out a Gibson 60's standard and for that price increase, I felt the Epi was just as nice and sounded just as good. So basically paying an extra 2 grand for the name IMO. But, because I really liked that Epi, I took a chance and bought a Kramer Reissue Nightswan Aztec.. Out of my 20 guitars, that is my absolute favorite guitar. Everything was just perfect on it. Seems like Gibsons "imports" are killiing it.
I have a 2020 Standard 60’s in triburst and LOVE it. One of the best guitars I’ve had. Plays, looks, and feels great. I posted a few videos with it on my channel, love the sound of the 61R/T pickups.
I got a 50s standard in Feb from sweetwater. Had the Canadian case. Issues I have were some rough fret board binding. Poorly shaped, and cut nut. And frets that were not polished at the factory. I am spoiled, I have an astonishing old school luthier in town. He had it all done in a few hours. I love it, plays amazing, sounds, looks, still smells amazing. People will balk, but every guitar needs proper setup by a luthier to an individuals needs. My needs are particular. New les Paul’s come with a generic setup. They cost a lot, yes but I still love les Paul’s!
I just bought this in ice tea, I absolutely love it. Smaller frets than previous ones I’ve played in the past- makes my PRS custom 24 sound weak and meh by comparison!
I bought an unburst in 2019 when they just launched these…love the unburst finish…mine was AA flame but looks little better than that…Not crazy about the weights now seems as the years go on..the quality goes a little south..like it but don’t like the pale white almost middle …nice chevron maple top though
Trogly, the fact that I keep being interested in watching the 1 000 000th review of a Gibson Les Paul in this channel is amazing 😂 btw I adore this top ! Wonderful
I found the scuff marks on my last 4 Gibsons to be buffing compound, it came right off. Annoying, but it’s better than real scuffs. That top is alive! I sent my new Les Paul back to Gibson to fix the hellacious tooling marks on the neck binding. They did a fabulous job. They rolled the binding and did a complete pro set up on it. I’m happy.
Bought mine today and love it. For those of you who are still deciding, let me just add my two cents here. I bought a brand new American fender strat ultra luxe last year which is the highest product line below custom shop kind of similar to Gibson standard counterpart. For me, the Gibson is built better which really surprised cause QC really isn’t gibson’s strong suit. But the other one I was choosing from had a little dent in the binding. So in conclusion, gibson is no longer the same compared to 2015-2018, they really improved a lot. At least the qc is similar if not beret then American fenders.
The setup u get from sweetwater is always better than most others and they double box which is greatly appreciated. Customer service is excellent also. Beautiful guitar love the lemon burst
I have a 2021 50's standard in tobacco sunburst and I absolutely adore it. It's my first Gibson since my premium plus in the early 2000's that I had to part with.
If anyone's trying to convince me that QC has improved since the new change in ownership then they're wrong. Maybe you could say the selection has improved but surely not QC. I still feel money's best spent on used 90s LPs than current models especially the ones from the last 10 years or so. This is just my personal opinion and experience from trying out new Gibson at guitar shops over the years. Something about the vintage LPs makes new models feel plastiky if u know what I mean
One thing to consider, since the pandemic most major manufacturers have had some quality issues for trying to get guitars done quicker, I tried a few mexican made Fender and Charvels and all had fret issues.
@@sixslinger9951 Same here. I've bought two brand new Gibsons, a Tribute and a Traditional Pro V, both were absolutely perfect. I've also bought a few used models as well, aside from the previous owners jacking up the set up, they were both also perfect.
Got an ESP Eclipse and am never looking back. I’ve had (still do) a sweet LP Standard for 20 years. It’s not even close. Never had the chance to play a vintage Gibson though.
My 2021 Les Paul Standard 50's weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces (which was my main reason for buying it) and Gibson goofed by putting the 60's hardware and pickups in it. They also didn't connect the ground wire, which was a royal pain to fix. So yeah, Gibson QC isn't quite where it should be but after fixing the ground I love this guitar. Much better than the 2018 Traditional I used to own.
I agree with the back of the guitar, my 60's standard I got last year you cannot see the seam on the back until you look at the end grain on the bottom and even then, it's not that noticeable. I ended up adding locking keystone tuners, with the change in look and the beautiful flame top on it made it in my opinion the perfect guitar. If you want to see it go to sweetwater under the bourbon burst reviews titled "it's perfect".
My first Gibson Les Paul is this guitar, and I got it in December. Love it, and thanks for reviewing it. Mine is perfect. Gibson did an Excellent job with mine.
I bought a 2020 60s Standard in unburst - it’s a fantastic guitar. The set-up was so good that I haven’t needed to have it done at all in two years. The only thing I didn’t like was the stock pickups which were - I believe - 490T/498/Rs - they were horrible. Swapped the pickups and changed to the 50s wiring and the guitar is amazing.
I bought mine back in October 2021 and it came with the wrong pickups. Gibson put in '59 Tribute Wildwood Spec' pickups which are intended for WIldwood exclusive guitars. Honestly I think it's a cool mistake and it makes me feel like my guitar is super unique. Basically, I have a Sweetwater exclusive finish and Wildwood exclusive pickups.
I bought one of the earliest 60s Originals. I went into my local Sam Ash on the day they were released. I wanted an “unburst” and they had to transfer it from another store, so I got a few days later. The serial number is 10889XXXX. The top is quite nice, although not as Tiger striped as this one. I did switch the knobs for the 50s style. I believe that the mirror knobs were only used on relatively late 1960 Standards. The “Beauty of the Burst” book only has one 60 with mirror knobs in the main gallery section, out of 8. The serial number of that one is 0 7448. Interestingly there’s another with a later serial number 0 7615 with the 50s style knobs.
Actually I kinda missed the "modern" colours options. Like the 2018 Mojave burst. Blueberry burst of 2017 2019. Even the green burst on the classic was a nice colour...but this is my own opinion. Do understand the 50s/60s lines up are more traditional but a splash of fresh modern colours will be nice. There's mod shop, etc. Or like dealers exclusice models like the one in this video. But as someone in the South East Asia region. We don't get access to these online shops Gibson is offering. The worst part is our local dealer is not bringing in Gibson/Epiphones anymore. That includes the other brands in Gibson Brand family. I always have to resort to Japan sites 😩., but if only second hand ones are avaliable..can't get them brand new too... But keep dem vids coming, it's really informative
Pretty sure Sweetwater puts up individual photos no matter the price, if they have stock. As for the finish on this one, it's just too pale for me personally, that iced tea 50s would be my pick. $$$ though. I do wish Gibson / dealers would list the various exclusive finishes, a lot of them you just never hear about until it's too late.
Being a cheapskate, I know at least when I bought my Gretsch through Sweetwater, the minimum to choose which guitar you got was $300. That was 2 years ago, so maybe they've changed since.
My ‘21 50’s standard bought new is beautiful. I did have to adjust the nut action lower but that’s expected with a brand new guitar. QC was phenomenal. It was perfect.
I just received my new 60s LP. Sweetwater exclusive as well. Weight on mine is 8 pounds 7.1 ounces !!!!!! I don't like the 61R adn 61T pickups. Installing Seymour Duncan Antiquity Retrospec'd pickups tonight. Gibson really hit a home run with these new models. Great guitars.
Absolutely beautiful guitar! During this demo video I had a thought. What if Gibson did the whole guitar, top and all that transparent cherry? Have they done that? What about a triple A topped (no binding) studio!? Keep up the good work!
I'm a pickguard on guy, besides that pickguard costs about twenty five $ so if your going buy the guitar you might as well get the pickguard. and if you don't want it on take it off. as far as the QC is concerned, it's about what I figured from what I have heard. that Gibson doesn't have much interest in improving their QC. I guess the Plek machine doesn't make much difference in their QC. I was hoping that Gibson was going to improve things after the bankruptcy but I guess not. that is somewhat disappointing.
Question…did this version have the pull knob to go from humbucker sound to a single coil sound? I have to say though I am more of a plain black, tobacco or iced tea burst with the pick guard. Sweetwater is a great place to get gear from. Every time I have gotten stuff from them…they’ve been great.
I recently got a 50s Standard from another vendor, I buy 90% of my gear from SW and Zzounds, pay one off, charge the other, lol! It's the non AAA but the top was amazing... just had to wait and watch until a nice one on the normal popped up. I have to say it's amazingly perfect. I have a 2017 Standard HP with the AAAA top. That one I did get at SW and my rep went and picked it out for me because the first one they sent me looked good but had a LOT of issues. The neck is SO different but both are amazing, happy to have two very nice LPs after having to sell my 1991 Standard about 17 years ago... eventually want a 60s as well or a Black Custom... not sure.
Sweet guitar. I have a Lemon Burst R9 Monster Top from 1998, so I’m partial. Nice to see your improved playing, that heavy pick attack is gone. A loud tube amp will help with that.
(Part 2) can buy and sell completely free of taxes and duties. This is a HUGE deal, especially since the guitar you highlighted, a Gibson EB2 Bass, also offered free shipping| So, the price quoted is all you pay.
I bought my first Les Paul recently, a 2017 Traditional in Heritage Cherry, and I really think that series is a super value pick. At least if you want to play it, not flip it. It's basically a standard in all but name and because of that name it gets dinged in value. My example has a ridiculous flame top, but they allegedly used AA wood for them. The thing is that they vary by year pretty heavily. Like mine randomly didn't ship with the pickguard installed, just in the case. No idea why that decision was made for a guitar called "traditional," but I don't really care about that stuff lol.
I have a 2021 AAA in that finish except mine has a natural colord back. I picked up instore in fort Wayne indi Sweetwater. Because it was my biryhday they gave me a shockingly fantastic price that I will not state as to not throw them under the buss.. Just shocked that they let me have it. .... Great guitar
I’m just not so keen on the shiny high gloss; the magic of the natural finish Les Paul, aesthetically, is that it evokes the antique beauty of a Stradivarius
I don't understand the acceptance / dismissal of tooling marks on a brand new guitar at this price. It's just not right they let this fly. Giving a nice AAA top, charging more, yet let tooling marks pass QC. Oh "because it's a Gibson". Ridicules IMO
It’s crap like this, among many other things, that makes me wonder how Trogly can love Gibson so much. It would be one thing if this guitar were Epiphone prices.
There is no way in hell their final inspection guys didn't see it. That tells you the head guys at gibson are telling the worker bees, Ship it! We have to hit our production numbers this month! Get it out the door. They are such sleazeballs! The decent thing to do is put these guitars with scuffs and blemishes on their demo/mod site or tell sweetwater to sell them as blemished for $300 or $400 off. They are counting on their dopey loyal fanboys to accept it. Apparently, many do. HA
I’m relatively new to your channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying it! You definitely have a wealth of knowledge regarding many types of guitars Les Pauls obviously holding your highest regards. I’m a Les Paul lover as well. I’m also a huge fan of Guild acoustic guitars of yesteryear. That began with my father giving me a 1958 Guild F-47 when I was in high school that he bought brand new in 1959 and paid $650 for it then. Sadly, that guitar was stolen from me. Off that subject I recently bought a black LP Classic on Reverb. I paid $1850 for it and it is in mint condition. Do you think that was a good deal? It’s a 2020 model. Thanks for your channel.
Good to see they are finally sorting the cases out, because these look closer to the old tan case of the 1990's (same type of handle, and better quality latches., maybe a 'key lock' latch, not the stupid hasp thing). You pay enough for a Gibson these days, at the very least they can put it in a decent TKL case as standard, for no extra outlay!
That nitro has definitely not had enough time to cure, nitro takes months to cure, 6-12 months to be decent. It’s doesn’t really get done curing for a good couple years. So the fact that that guitar was stamped February 24th in the serial number means it has unbelievably soft clear. So yeah, the case smudged it, I’m sure if someone pressed their thumb into it you could put your fingerprint in the finish. They’re rushing things badly. Same reason there’s wood shavings inside and I cleaned pocket walls, they’re rushing hard to meet quotas. Is what it is with a huge brand like that, they let slide anything that doesn’t affect the bottom line, as soon as customers slow down purchasing they step the game back up a bit. Henry J or JC the company is still focused on making the name a lifestyle/legacy brand. It ain’t really about the quality of the guitars, it’s about the numbers. BTW for anyone reading this in the future; as of me writing my comment it’s May 22, so the serial number being stamped February 24th means this guitar has had MAYBE 3-4 months curing time as of trogly making this video, but likely more like 2.5-3 months. This also means it was assembled when it was barely able to be handled. So it’s gonna be very hard for any real player to use the guitar even at home without leaving impressions on the finish. That’s why putting in the case and shipping were enough to leave the finish goofed up straight away. Also my earlier thumb print comment is not an exaggeration, I bought my 2003 SG Standard brand new as a 23 year old idiot and thought the finish felt soft, so my idea was the press down hard with my thumb and to this day my thumbprint is visible in the finish.
Yeah, I bought one of these Lemonburst 60's standards back in early October and it has a rather large (1.5 inch by 1.5 inch) smudge on the back of the guitar that wasn't disclosed to me.
light hardwood (maple/ash) need 6 months of daylight on them the grain will start to pop more and the Pre cat lacquer warms to more of gold shade ! as its UV cure ! I think that lemon burst will age amazing ! and it's right point that you can play it !!! and love it !!!!! I get the money in the un played or the heavy aged (hate fake aged) But it's like classics cars if you dont drive it what's the point ?
