For a true test, try setting the OOKLA speedtest to your internet service provider server. You are paying for 150mbs from their server to your home. They have no control over other servers on the internet so your speed could be slower. If you want a true test of the rated speed of EERO 6 download Openspeed server and run it on one of your computers, then test the speed by logging into the server from your computer on your phone or another computer in your house. This will give you the full extent of the speed provided by the EERO 6. Keep in mind the wifi card on your computer and phone also need to match the 802.11AX technology that the EERO has, also you want to ensure that you have an 80Mhz channel set up on the EERO.
Hi Remi. Many thanks for your very comprehensive advice, I’ll definitely try that. Mind you, my (ookla)internet speeds gone up to approx 120Mb ever since. Cheers
Usually ISP's advertise their speed packages as being "up to x" meaning you should not expect to see (in your case) 150Mbps every single time that it is tested. Although you should reasonably expect to see, fairly, close to full speed the majority of the time. I have google wifi mesh pucks and their internal speed test is also the same way. It always reports full speed no matter when I check it. I do not rely on it because of that.
Hi Alistair. You can use the password provided but if you want to change that one with a personal one, it’s quite easy to do so. The EERO app is very easy to use. Hope that helps. Cheers
Good point Mad Titan. To my defence I can only argue that the video is merely an observation about the performance of that device. Mind you, speeds gone up after a couple of weeks of using it. Thanks for your constructive comment. Cheers!
