I bought a 2023 A6 3.0TT Premium in Firmament Blue and ivory interior EXACTLY like the test vehicle. I replaced a 2011 Jaguar XF with 5.0L V8 that was totaled and I loved it for 11 years and 90K miles. I didn''t expect to be as impressed by the Audi as I was with the Jag, but it is so quiet, so comfortable, and the suspension so well tuned that I am no longer mourning the loss of my beautiful and strong-running XF. This is one great car at a much lower cost than a comparably equipped 540i or E450. The 3-box sedan is disappearing from the market, and for now this may be the best example of the genre. I'm 72 so it is probably the last car and the best car I will own. Thanks, Joe! You nailed it! It really is "silky smooth" in all it does.
I feel like it’s too low, they should have swapped the location of the vents and infotainment screen so it’s more in the driver’s field of view. I also wish they kept the MMI rotary knob to go along with the new touch screen.
Just picked up one from Wesley Chapel and I love it. A5 us too small for us but A6 is perfect and still sporty. Thanks for the review and happy new year!
Happy New Year Joe!! Its been an honour to be apart of the Raiti's Rides family. Thanks again for another great review. You never stop working for us, so please accept our heart-felt gratitude and wishing you and Lori all the best in 2021!
Man, you pump out more quality and frequent content than all the other established youtubers. Your attention to detail and dedication doesn't go un-noticed. Keep up the great work. I want to see this channel hit 1M subs in 2021!! By the way, as a former Audi owner I think personally A6 is my favorite looking Audi based on the current lineup. The A8 is too much, A7 isn't as attractive as the last gen, A5 is a little bubbly and bland, A4 is a mini-a6, A3 is just no. A6 looks perfect all around. If anything, I wonder why we need an A7 since the A5 is now a hatchback and we have the A6 and A8 for premium buyers.
Thanks Haris for taking the time to say that and having my back. I appreciate your ownership input and it is great people like yourself that make the channel what it is!
this must be the premium package, i have the premius plus and it has everything you zonked. cool seats, rear vents on the B pillar in the rear, virtual cockpit.
I like the look of the A6 but in my opinion the A7 is where it’s at. Whatever you go with Prestige is the trim you want with Audi. My A4 Prestige makes me feel like a million dollars, i could only imagine what the A6 would feel like with the air ride. Happy New Year Joe and the whole Raiti’s Rides family!
Agree. He totally overlooked the A7 and jumped up to the A8 which most people don't buy. A7 is fantastic and has all the amenities that were missing on this car ie virtual cockpit, vent seats etc. Also, i love your reviews Joe, but you can't zonk the car if you don't even have the highest trim. This car definitely comes with ventilated seats along with heated, it just wasn't spec.d on this particular version. I also believe you can get V cockpit as an option on the a6...it's standard on the A7
@@RaitisRides the 5 series and E class. The A5 is not a competitor to the 5 series as you suggested. The 4 series coupe and grand coupe are A5 competitors.
@@RomaneMaticaliseGordon he did. Right about the one minute mark. As he was saying how the A6 was not the 5 series' competitor. He brought up the A5 and A8.
Come on man. I’m sure by now you know Joe Raiti likes to work hard and bring us great content. I agree he’s done a great job and needs a break but gotta give the man props for always working hard for us.
I’m a bit confused . My Lexus GS F sport was coming to an end. I looked at this A6 , the Mercedes E class , Bmw 5 series , and even the Kia Stinger . I was happy to get last Gs F sport Blackline. But I had all these in the SAME category and size. They were all priced accordingly.
I own a 2019 A6 Prestige with sport package and 21” wheels. Amazing car! Competes with BMW 5 series and Mercedes E Class directly. My third Audi in a row.
You say the suspension "adjusts the dampers" in dynamic mode. This is the Premium (base) model (as evident by the lack of Virtual Cockpit). The Premium and Premium Plus models both have fixed sport suspensions. You have to go up to the Prestige (top) model to get adaptive suspension.
Happy New Year to your brother, and I hope that 2021 is even better for you yet! As the current owner of an A6 Audi allroad oh, I hate to say it..... But this car on the exterior looks pretty damn boring to me! As always I love your reviews regardless to what you reviewing, what does A6 Sline I don't think it's going to push many people's buttons on the outside but the inside is nice!
Audi, the drivetrain is some chocolate sauce on the vanilla. Noticed the glare coming from the bright trim, seems annoying. That wood trim, though! Victor needs a hot BMW to shoot for the new year, better find something. A friend with an M-1, perhaps? Lol, one can dream...
Is it needed? - Good question. Not sure if it is needed, but I am an Audi sedan fan. As one, the A6 with the 3.0 engine is the best sedan I will ever be able to afford. An A8 is way out of my league. An A4 is not enough above an A3 (which I have). The 2018 A6 3.0 was the best handling sedan I have ever driven.
For the purposes of an executive comfortable grand tourer, I think the A6/A7 offers great comfort for the money. And yes, it’s also sporty when pushed hard with the same 3.0T engine used in S4/S5/SQ5s etc. The mild hybrid helps smooth it out a bit too compared to the MY 18-19 S models
Audi views the line up like so: A4/A5 = Sedan/Sportback. A6/A7 = Sedan/Sportback. The A4/A5 differ mainly in the body style differences. The same with the A6/A7. The A5 and A6 are completely separate model lines and not as competitors or overlapping models. The A4/A5 share the same basic dash layout. Same with the A6/A7. I would say the BMW 3-Series competes with the A4/A5 and the BMW 5-Series competes with the A6/A7. Those are most closely matched in price. Audi needs the A6 in the lineup.
Nice review but one error I thought I’d mention: This car doesn’t do 0-60 in 4.4s. The Audi S6 does 0-60 in 4.4s. This Audi A6 55 (3.0) does 0-60 in 5.1s.
Happy New Year Joe and Lori!!! Finally getting to watch this here and oooooooooooh this whip is something else!!! Thanks for all these epic reviews and all the very best to you all this year and beyond!!! #RaitisRides #OnThrottle #ToTheDoorPanel #TwinkiesForDays #OnThrottleAgain #LoriGotAngles #CameraQueen #Zonkmeister #CrownVic #OnThrottleAllDay #IfYoureReadyImReady #Audi #A6 #Quattro #FourRingsOrNothing
I'll tell you what, my 2017 A6 3.0T Quattro S-Line Premium Plus is nicer than the new ones. Real dual exhaust out the back for starters. An aggressive front end. Yeah, no digital cockpit or ventilated seats, but I still have 4 way climate WITH vents in the pillar for the back seat. Comfortable. Quick. Beautiful body lines. I don't know that it's "grandma" or "vanilla" but to each their own. All the new tech and stuff is cool, but unless I could afford a REALLY nice RS or something, I think I'll stick with what I have.
If you come across an Audi A6 Prestige Trim, I'd be interested in your review, Joe. Keep up the great work; I enjoy watching your reviews of cars I normally wouldn't be interested in!
@@RaitisRides I love your videos Joe, don't get me wrong your review was amazing on the A6, I love German engineering and your reviews are top notch. Keep up the amazing work bud, ON THROTTLE!!!!
Agreed... Yep for the money could have used a Virtual Cluster Gage, But still a nice Luxury car. For some reason I like that Bessel Free Rear View Mirror just shows class
1:00 "not a direct competitor to the 5-series" ... huh? the A6 formally known as the Audi 100 has always been the 5-series and E-class competitor as well as other mid-size luxury sedans.
The a6 is the direct competition to the 5 series ... and the a8 is in a class of it’s own ...Most Audi models and features are not available for the US market
Audi has a better infotainment system and driving dashboard than BMW but the BMW is the driving experience, to some extent better than Audi. I have an A5 Sportback S line but my engine makes no noise. Going with an X3 or X4 M40i next
I grew up loving all kinds of cars used love BMW when was little than got older started liking Audi. I'd would go with the Audi looks bit sportier more sleek seems doesn't look boring.
Looks like a basic premium trim to me. My 2019 premium plus has the virtual cockpit, climate control at the back is Digital Touch screen too, trunk had a foot gesture open sensor.
No his facts are not right the US version is limited to 150 mph and Europeans can pay for that to be unlocked but all US specs are limited to 150 mph even RS
@@jamesgrant-lewis209 The US version is 155 MPH (not 150). The RS5 has a 174 MPH limiter on the Ascari Edition (previous years had it on the Carbon+ package and 2022 will have it on the Dynamic package). The RS3 had a 174 MPH limiter with the Nardo Edition. Literally zero current Audi US-spec models have a 150 MPH top speed.
Hi Joe, I have also been looking at these A6 or A8 and G90 as a replacement for my 2017 Cadillac XTS. I'm about 6' 250, big guy. Would I be comfortable in an A6? Also does Audi make a dark red, such as burgundy? The Seville red is too brown. I respect your thoughts?
Happy New Year and please man take a brake. A video on the second day of the year shows your dedication. Audi is always a beauty with their tech filled interiors and stylish grills and headlights. A good car to start the new year. Does it have massage seats?
That is a great idea Elvin. Hold that thought: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9pgIiw3LyWM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4ccVEKPv-pQ.html
Happy new year! I look forward to all of your food fantasies this year. Nonetheless, this Audi leaves a lot to be desired. I still want a genesis if I get an ICE vehicle.
