Fun fact:in bashy mode, there aren't any train tracks or cars,so you're just in(infinite)forest chopping trees and eating fish😮and i just found out those like three days ago
No lilypads and no logs is a bit of a problem with this character. That's another reason why I like the Cheerleader. There are usually lots of birds on her level, so it's easy to complete the birds, logs, and hops quests. She's not so great at lilypads, but it's possible. The new “Clear Crops” quest really slows things down.
Thanks for the fish info. I didn't know the beaver goes faster when eating fish. The Bluetooth controller I told you I was getting is sitting at the Amazon Locker ½ block away. I'll get it tonight & let you know if I like it in your next video's comments.
It's not so much that the beaver gets faster, it's that the beaver gets so much slower when not eating fish. It's more about avoiding the penalty than getting a speed boost.
The 17 hour number is a rough estimate. I don't think it took that long to unlock the Bashy Beaver for this video. Also, I was surprised to see the in-app purchase so low though. 49¢ is a pretty aggressive sale.
I’ve been playing CR for only a couple of months, but I’ve gotten 351/353 characters ( sans The piggy bank & The car ) But I was alarmed that I had to play for 17 hours just for The BB !
~17 hours is if you're averaging 10 coins per minute. By playing for a few minutes at a time, you can do way better than that. There are free gifts, quests, and the Pecking Order bonus. In approximately five minutes, once a day, I can get the daily gift, complete a quest, and put a score up on the Pecking Order. If that's 250 coins in that five minutes, it's 50 coins per minute - dramatically reducing the time it takes to unlock the Bashy Beaver. But if you keep playing after collecting the bonuses, the Coins-Per-Minute average can dramatically decrease. So, even casual players can unlock the Bashy Beaver with just a little bit of determination and strategy.
I think they should add trading to Crossy road, they could have it where you can have a friends list or you can type a user name and sent a trade request. In the trading I think you should have the option to trade coins or characters.
That's why I think the Crossy Road franchise should expand. The original is like Frogger. Crossy Road Castle is like Super Mario Bros. What if Hipster Whale made a Crossy Road game that was like a multiplayer Zelda? I don't know what they're working on, but there's a lot more that could be done with these characters.
@@thebihl-ievers5643 I was thinking about making an update to the Brainstorming video… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PcvoON6mDpM.html …but that was to get Hipster Whale back on track. I feel like they revitalized the game with the Farm update.
The Cheerleader was one of the three changes that dramatically changed the amount of coins I have in this game. 1 - Unlocking all the characters 2 - Cheerleader 3 - Ad Buster Bonuses I suspect three reasons why the Cheerleader is so good… 1 - They underestimated the way three safe (and empty) rows would affect coin collection. 2 - It's a loss leader. Hipster Whale wants you to see the crowd, to inspire you to unlock more characters. (It's the same logic why the Birthday Chicken is well above average with coin collection.) 3 - Somebody at Hipster Whale really likes Cheerleaders. Perhaps when someone suggested that the Cheerleader be nerfed, the boss responded in the same way Jim Sinegal reacts to raising the price of a Costco hot dog. 😄
I don't know why but when i play the beaver he's moving too slowly, i mean sometimes it's hard to be quick, is that normal ? (I'm quick with other characters)
@@PhoticsTV I wrote that comment before i saw that you explained how the character works in the video, thanks a lot for answering to me tho I appreciate it
I'm watching the game closely this week, as the Fourth of July is coming up. Perhaps that means a return of the “Box of Fireworks” or maybe they'll do something new. The former seems more likely than the latter. But if you're asking about a big update, similar to the Farm area, I don't know when that's going to happen. It's important to remember that the previous Medieval update was back in late 2022. So, it's a fairly big range of possibilities.
One of the things I wanted to try was using an Android emulator on Linux. I don't know if that works though… either on Linux or Windows …and I have so many Crossy Road coins on my Apple TV. 😄
The Slippy Penguin is the topic of an upcoming video. I'm not sure what's going to be the tone of the video, as I don't like the Slippy Penguin game mode. I'm not a big fan of the Bashy Beaver game mode either. They're both a little too difficult. …but with the Slippy Penguin, I think it gets too fast, too quick. That makes it unsettling to play. 😝 I'm not sure which one you should unlock first, but I picked the Bashy Beaver here to see if it was good at collecting coins. The Bashy Beaver is not too bad, but a lot of skill is needed. It's just been easier with the Cheerleader.
@@PhoticsTV hi, thanks yes i chose beaver over slipnslide... it isnt as easy as i thought 😂 but i still feel its 10k coins well spent... better than what i wouldve gotten with slipnslide i guess
There's an older video on the channel about that topic… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CSkmS2gJW9s.html …but I think I might need to update the list. With all of the new characters, I think a top 12 is not enough.
I thought about playing Shooty Skies, but I didn't see it on Apple TV. Also, I don't think I'd enjoy it like Crossy Road. Then I saw that Punch Kick Duck+ was heading to Apple Arcade. I thought about it seriously for a moment, but then was like… nah! 😄
@@PhoticsTVwell, I’ve been playing Shooty Skies ever since it launched too in the past like Crossy Road! I THINK Shooty Skies is another works from Hipster Whale ya! I played before so I know the experiences on the game! 🙂🤷🏻♂️
Heh, I just realized there's a dramatic fade to black after that… a transition technique that isn't normally used in the Crossy Road videos. That's the problem with the Bashy Beaver. It's a more difficult character to play. But, if you have the Ad Buster bonus, the frequent restarts could be beneficial. That means less missing out on those periodic bonuses of 20 coins.
One of the reasons I have so many coins is optimizing. That's partially why I made this video. It's the result of a little math and logic in order to make it easier to unlock characters in this game. The chart shows the difference. I was using the Moon Rock, thinking it was good at farming coins. But after doing the math, it was approximately 50% less than the Cheerleader. If you're starting the game from scratch, with the intent of unlocking as many characters as possible, focusing on the Bashy Beaver first could be a good move. Although, since I don't like this game mode, that would be frustrating and not fun.
I still think the slippy penguin is the best at collecting coins if you can go a high score, but even if you can't you I think you can get a lot of coins per minute
I just tested it out… I did see a decent amount of coins on the level. Unfortunately, it's an uncomfortable mode to play. I didn't want to test it further. 😝
