The God of Israel backs up his WORD. The Prophet Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 4:2) "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it..." In Joshua 1:8) "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein..." Psalm 138:2) "...thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." Proverbs 30:5,6) "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words..." Isaiah 40:8) "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." Jeremiah 1:12) "...I will hasten my word to perform it." John 10:34,35) "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;" John 17:17) "Sanctify them through thy truth: they word is truth." 1Peter1:23:25) "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. These are just a few bits of scripture that lets readers know that The God of Israel watches over his word. Finally in Jeremiah 23:29) "Is not my word like as a fire? saith The Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?"
