i look at the bible the same way i look at "lord of the rings" or any other book for that matter.....the lord of the rings is a book. it was definitely written by someone. it definitely exists..some of the things in it are definitely true...most things are not..depends on the specific parts.... Fables are real..they exist..People wrote them...We can prove this..We can prove that parts of them are true. we can show that many parts are not true.. Fables and lord of the rings have positive messages in them, and they have neutral messages in them, and they have negative messages in them...same with the bible.. the difference is that when I read the lord of the rings, Im not trying to prove that orcs and wizards exist, even though I can prove that the book exists....I can discern positive teachings from it, and negative ones...doesnt matter whether dragons exist or not...doesnt matter if a man wrote it or a supreme being god wrote it... Same with the bible...its got good and bad and neutral...it includes things and it leaves things out...you dont even need to believe in god in order to learn positive things from the bible, or to learn negative things from the bible... Its silly and ridiculous to say things like "the bible is true"....the bible is a book that exists...does it have good teachings? yes. bad ones? yes. does it have evidence of the supernatural? No.
