The Bluetti AC70 power station is almost a perfect power source for almost any camping or overlanding application. While we absolutely love the AC70, there are a couple of things that could still be improved.

Nice review and soooo true about that legacy 12v outlet. That really needs to go! The AC180 is on sale for $649 so for $150 more you get almost 400w/hrs more which I think for now is the better deal. That is about a .10 per watt hour difference. I think Bluetti has really upped their game to compete with Ecoflow a lot better now. Hard to go wrong with either brand and the prices are coming down.

That legacy 12v outlet is the very reason my bluetti got shelved, ruined more food with the 12v plug coming loose. My go to is Dometic with the threaded 12v adapter; anderson plugs would be a good alternative. I did reach out to bluetti about the 12v plug coming loose issue and they told me that it was not designed to be in use or plugged into the fridge while driving and definitely not while driving off-road travel, the #1 reason to have one of these and they tell me it's not designed for it. I can run the Dometic while plugged into the fridge and the charger connected so it charges as I drive and when I shut off the Jeep, it stops charging and runs the fridge. I've had no issues offroad with it plugged in and operating. Bluetti missed their opportunity to make a great solid unit.

Great review, thanks! So if I ran this unit with a 300W solar panel charging it up during the day, can it run a fridge indefinitely whilst camping for a week or more?

My gripe is the instruction manual to get in the menu and change settings is HORRIBLE. It tells you how to get into the settings, but after that you seem to be on your own to figure it out.
