Is the Cabrinha Switchblade a Big Air Kite? 

Ofcause it’s a big air kite, nick Jacobsen won Kota on the switchblade also his pb on woo was on a 2017 switchblade, still haven’t beaten it although his been on the north orbit for a couple of years now

I bought the first SB. I had a 9 meter. The bar pressure was mental and I hated it. I then bought a Revolver 7m (for those that can remember that kite) and I rode that forever...in 22-32 knots of wind (i am 95kg) and I pulled off some of the biggest jumps of my life with that kite, and some of my worst crashes. I then finally went to an 8 Drifter cause it was forginving like the Revolver since the Revolver was by then broken. Stayed with the Drifter for years, until about 3 years ago I took a chance on a 7m SB 2021...and omg...what an amazing kite...it has tons of power...its well behaved, but, a little scary once the wind starts to go above say 23knots...I wanted to have that all round range and comfort I used to have with the Revolver in the higher winds...so, I finally bit the bullet and liking the SB as I do so much, I bought a 5m SB 2022...and wow...compact, and just soooo comfortable in the 23+ Knot range, so I am good to go. Personally, and I am guessing a pro will laugh at me for this, but the SB 2021 is a super powerful kite and I think the wind range is advertised for pro sailors...or, somehow mine is like voodoo'd to absolutely be supercharged or something. :=)

I’ve the 6.0, 8.0, 10.0, 12.00 Switchblades & the 15.0 Contra - built up the collection - and love them all. All weather, all conditions... 👍🪂

I think the newer Switchblades have less bar pressure than older Switchblades. Have a 2014 and 2019 I've flown back to back and i felt the 2019 had considerably less. Guessing Cabrinha msde efforts to reduce the bp over the years?

As an intermediate rider (working on jumps >10') would I notice a difference in performance from my 2016 12m switchy to a new one? Is the new 2021 a noticeable improvement from 5 years ago or only an advanced rider would notice the differences? Or is it just a better wind range? Great videos btw

I own a 2016 switchblade +2020contra and just recently bought 2 orbit kites in a 8,10m sizes and I would def choose a switchblade over a lot of other big air kites just do to the fact of the better material used from the 2020 models and up. My contra with that double ripstop cabrinha uses I think is far better then what north is using. I crashed my contra kite into bushes doing a self launch going wrong and the thing was stuck bad thought it be ripped for sure nope not one rip on it. So honestly I wish I kind of went with the switchblade in the smaller sizes but marketing and hearing the orbit is the best kite for looping I bought a orbit but I can bet a switchblade will last longer and in my opinion that's what you want from a kite durability because every kite nowa days is pretty good and the differences between kites is very minimal in my opinion.

Hey MACkiteboarding, do u think the switchblade is an okay kite to start learning aerial kiteloops with? I got a switchblade set and love it and am practicing down and heliloops now. Wondering if the kite is quick enough for kiteloops too. What would be a safe jump height for the kite to catch u after a loop with a 9 or 7 meter?

What do you guys think about the SB for foiling?

Good video! I am riding a 9m switchblade. I want to loop on it. You have multiple knots on the steeringlines attachments. The third knots is for the most power. Wich knot should i put my steering lines on for looping?
