Ryan you are wrong that other people can tap into the Cell Fi. You can only get a boosted signal if you are in close proximity to the unit. If you more 3 metre away from the unit you get no boost. So unless the other people are standing next to your truck they won’t get any boost from your unit.
I agree with Ryan here mate. I had one on my excavator working in the mines and whenever I truck comes up within 20m or so my phone won’t load and they take all. And celfi isn’t really a data system more of a calling system. If you want data then starlink.
I got a Cel-Fi GO X and it does what took multiple Wilson boosters previously. The jump from 60dB to 100dB is HUGE. The downside is is it only works for one carrier at a time.
People who don’t live on the road don’t understand the importance of remote internet connection. Thanks for the review, I’ve heard others say the same thing about it. What did you replace it with?
They have there purpose depends what u want and use it for For me and what i use it for its mint in my work ute Ide still keep it cause it does come in handy
I had a yagi antenna connected at 14 mile pointing to coral bay got good 4G with the cel fi .Only problem was it had to be on a pole over 4 meters up.But i think Starlink is the next big thing.
Great vid.... Love your outlook M8... What gear would you suggest for an outback rig for streaming zoom/teams etc if you were working from a laptop in a caravan all around Australia ? Any advice or gear suggestions would be awesome bro :)
Is there a monthly payment/subscription for the device once installed and in use? It seems unlikely to me but I thought I would ask as there are people comparing this to starlink. Thanks for the info
