The first thing Jesus would have done is to exorcise the demon(s) causing Matthew his "ticks", if Matthew had indeed been "autistic" (and there's nothing in the Gospels to indicate he was). "The Chosen" is loosely based on Jesus, which means it preaches another gospel. That's all you need to know regarding whether or not you should watch it.
That's a great take on The Chosen. I share your idea that it is so fascinating to think about who he was as a man. I think this series is great because it will point people to look in to the New Testament and discover Jesus for themselves. That can only be a good thing.
Don't like the fact that Dallas's Morman friends are on Chosen board. And have watch interviews that Dallas says they share the same Jesus as he does. It makes it hard to recommend that to other people.
I have only watched some clips on RU-vid but did not dislike what I saw. Realizing it is entertainment, but with a message. When The DiVinci Code came out, there was a lot of questions from nonbelievers as to the truth behind the story. This searching opened the doors for believers to explain the True Word. Anytime a door like that opens, I’ll take that as a win for Christ! Plant the Seed when you have an opportunity!

I watched season one, then crowdfunded support for season 2. I was disappointed on the first episode of season 2, then dropped out. Haven't checked back in.
