Ive became a Christian this year. Since then a lot of things i loved doing with people i loved, ive renounced and missed. I’ll leave those things behind for the Lord. For most of my life though, it was a life i was used to. Since then, ive been in my room alone with no guidance or peers to share my interest but also do it with people who have an equal respect for the Lord. I also used to cuss a lot for jokes but now i cant say swear words. Because of these changes, i overthink my social condition and i become shy and nervous around people because i no longer know how to talk to them or what to say. Im not bored because everyday is a battle and work but seldom do i think i now have anything to contribute in social conversation other than quotation from the bible because my old hobbies and interests were in someway involved in sin or people who sin. So maybe not all Christians become boring but i sure feel like i have lately. Please pray for me to be more creative and enjoy life and fellowship with people.
In the friendship aspect, I believe you can’t be friends with unbelievers or cold ‘Christians’ because your values don’t align. Friendship is a deep connection. You can relate with them, obviously but, not befriend. If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll see you sometimes tend to do what they do, how they speak, think or live, etc. By the way, I love love love this podcast 💓

I am happy to be in the Lord and under his love. I have peace and worldly things do not ignite me. I cherish the one I am with and get to share love with them. There are a lot of things to do as Christians. Life is not parting and alcohol, but being righteous. Let us soldier on. God bless you fellow brethren.
I always hated parties so I didn't participate in them. My idea of fun is mainly solitary forms like reading books, drawing, videogames, and listening to music. I did enjoy this podcast very much however, something I'll share with my in-laws

I love this so much this is my first podcast ❤️ I loved this topic! I agree and I feel like once you have that personal encounter with God after giving your life to Him, you start to change the way you think and do things. You start living for God, learning to please Him by your actions and to be the light in every situation you are placed in. Being a Christian and living a Christian life is absolutely fun!! I love it and I would not change it for anything!!💞💞
Loved the last question and how they landed in “being the light in the darkness”. Thanks to the Holy Spirit. The “darkness” (our environment/relationships, etc) are actually the best showcase for light. So let’s stay shining
Although I'm a believer in Christ, I think that worldly things are WAY funner than those in the Christian life. We As Christians can't do half the things that non believer's can. We can't listen to music that has cursing or is talking about anything sexual. We can't watch rated R movies because of the same thing. We can't play certain video games because of the same thing. I could go on and on about the things we can't do. However I do agree with all of y'all points in the video. The Christian life indeed can be fun just not as fun in my opinion. Our real fun will happen in heaven!
Love this group of people and their insight. However I felt that it was portrayed no struggle is involved. I’ve been as worldly as it gets and I’ve turned my life over to God fully. My whole life I’ve been a dj. So imagine my world. For now I don’t dj because it will night life is ….just that, night life. It can be very tempting. For now In the space I’m in I love my time with God, fellowship. All that. But I can’t say I’m having a blast. When I think about the vision God has given me to live out my purpose…it gets me excited. I believe if I keep fulfilling my purpose, I’ll find fun in that. The struggle is not as aggressive as before, but so it remains.

Praying is even fun, when you start it's difficult cos of the flesh and all. But as you continue, you begin to see the reality of God and His word. It's like the bible goes from being a book to being your life. Best part is there's always more to look forward to
Also, I've found that the christian life is "boring" when my eyes are on the world. Dyg? Like not really focusing on Jesus, just noticing all the things I'm "missing out" on. Then being a child of God starts to feel burdensome and stressful.
I'm torn and confused on how to be a teenager and also a good Christian. I know i cant have my cake and eat it but its just like, for so long i lived in fear of going to hell so i didn't do any bad bad things (drinking, smoking, sexual stuff etc.) but now everyone I feel like life is passing me by and i don't have any fun experiences. Honestly, I want to live that life for a bit, but i don't want to make God sad because i know those things are wrong. The thing is I know what the scripture says about most of these things but it feels like its not enough to keep me from doing it because so many ppl are doing it and their lives seem fine and theyre doing way better than someone like me.
Yhh I hear what you are saying bro! But as a Christian you shouldn’t live your life in fear! But in love, the bible says he hasn’t given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind. Also, people may look like they are having fun, but deep down they could be depressed. So don’t like at the outward appearance! Also pray for Godly/fun friends! And I promise you! God will direct to the friends you can have fun with( without sinning) and also helping you building stronger relationship with God!
This is not really helpful for people who are not already filled with the Holy Spirit. Saying things like "they think drinking and having sex is fun" makes you completely unrelatable to everybody else. The reality is, those things ARE fun. If they weren't, this world would look much different. But God wants us to sacrifice fun for His sake.

Because I things many images or Concepts are Satanic(Like Chakra) Do you think we can watch those things without damaging our relationship with god or not? Thank you in advance!
I think one of the first questions you have to ask is does this glorify God in any shape of form? I’m not saying it does or doesn’t that’s down to how you watch/receive it I believe
Also I would say don’t place that above God. In others, spend more time with God then I believe you will begin to lose the desires/craving. The more you get close to God is the more begins to change your attitude and mentality.
Yes dear and there's a song that says "turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace." I believe there shouldn't be a lot of effort on our side to let go of earthly desires and things because there's no such thing as trying in our own effort to resist all these things... the flesh eventually fails and comes back to that place. We should focus instead on keeping our eyes constantly fixed on Jesus Christ.... that word that was made flesh, keeping in the word trusting the holy spirit to take us to places deeper that we've ever been before as He reveals to us the bottomless things in God. I must say that there's a beauty in God that can't be compared to anything this world has to offer and once we connect to that beauty we will forget about earthly desires effortlessly. Let's just desire God more and more. He says in His word that He is a reveals himself to those that diligently seek Him. Jeremiah 29:13
Tunmida N Adetumbi I believe drinking is fine as long as you don’t get drunk, Jesus’ first miracle was turning water into wine and that wine I’m pretty sure was fermented because of the Jewish tradition. However, drunkenness is sinful, wine and bread have its limits; excess bread becomes gluttony (a sin), and excess wine becomes drunkenness (a sin), too much of both leads to sin but consuming bread isn’t a sin so wine shouldn’t be either.
