in the Onslaught lore book first page it states that the onslaught as an activity was actually a simulation by Shaxx to prepare the guardians in case it actually happened.

The thing about destiny is that you can make a 100 year tike skip because our guardian will still be alive

Very interesting theory! I definitely agree that this direction of conflict within the Last City is a super exciting way in which the narrative could be evolving. My only concern is that, from a Doylist perspective, not only is this a region of the lore few have their eyes on (especially compared to enemy factions, or the 3rd element of Darkness,) but "Last City Conflict" is also a narrative premise with a pretty sour reputation after the playerbase's general apathy to the Factions, and the non-consequence of choosing a side between Vanguard & Drifter in the long-term. I would definitely hope we could move past that and see the Last City be a focus again, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up until we see a stronger indication that that's something both the writers *and* players would be interested in

Just as a note to the name of this lore book, Chirality. It's a term used in chemistry (and other places as well, but I know chemistry the best) to describe something with no internal symmetry. A shape you can't draw a line through and get a mirror image. In chemistry, this leads to things called enantiomers which are molecules that are structured exactly the same except that they are mirror images of each other. The easiest way to visualize this is with your hands. Literally. Your hands are chiral (chiral being the descriptor for things exhibiting chirality). Your hands also show how enantiomers can exist. Each has a palm, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, pinkie finger and thumb. But the way they are arranged, they are mirror images of each other and interact with world in somewhat different ways. In chemistry, one enantiomer can be healthy for humans and the other can be toxic. All this to say, I think this term was chosen specifically for the themes one can draw from it. An asymmetry existing in the city between mortals and lightbearers. Two sides of the city, one of which can be detrimental to its future. Just a rather interesting idea. One note, though, very minor nitpick, Chirality is pronounced with a hard "ch" like the "Kah" sound in the word "cake." Anyway, good video.

This is really interesting, I haven't heard anyone bring it up before either. I think it sets up a really story if brought to the forefront of the narrative, especially if the theory of Destiny 3 being codenamed 'Frontiers' implies humanity will be taking back some of Sol. Great video man!
