May I wish peace for all in Myanmar! 🙏 By the way, many thanks for the very informative multi-page comments by 'Ms. Gregoria' at, "Myanmar remains in social and economic crisis since military seized power/BBC News" on RU-vid., that I've learned a whole lot about Myanmar situation than I've ever known .. Hugely appreciated. 👍
its really really sad,,,all those sad Military Generals,,will lose their Mansions, and all their luxuries,,..its so sad...peace to all Myanmar people,,hopefully can live free,in the future.
Your clip kept showing Rohiga refugees , not Shan. Shan state in northern part of Burma bordering with China. Shan aren't welcomed there . They even stopped refugees from coming to the border by tear gassing them . UNOCHA hadn't done anything substantial for long suffering Burmese , only the local NGOs are the one helping as much as they can . You can not only talk about one group fleeing; if you want to talk about humanitarian crisis, talk about ALL the groups who have been fleeing since independent.
@jazz5681 Do myanmar people also care about their own people who follow Islamic religion? No . So Turkey isn't doing wrong about caring their brothers who belong to same faith.....
I commend the first woman who was interviewed for refraining from any political comment and focusing solely on the civilian needs. It’s rare to see genuine care for the people
Is it really true that the junta lost more than 50% of the control ? Why is this not the top headline news? Won't that mean the military lose the battle already? Also, out of all the many ethnic groups struggling there for independence, Rohinga does not even make it to the top list and this is the only group Westerns pay most attention to.
afaik, they can't defend and gave up on the outerlying rural area, but they hold the core heartland of sort in the middle. But yeah, basically half of Myanmar. So maybe if they want to, why not declare independence there. Unless the freedom fighters really think they can drive Tatmadaw over the edge of the ocean. But that last point is also good, the freedom fighters have been proven capable, maybe as much as Ukrainian fighters. If the world really care about so called democracy, they should have stepped in with weapon aids to the freedom fighters. Though nearby China might complicate things up, which is why probably the key player in Myanmar is China, whom both junta and freedom fighters try not to offend. Even US call out for China to help solve Myanmar crisis.
Most of the military's money come from more Urban areas and they haven't lost much urban cities, only smaller less developed cities. However, the revolutionaries are gaining more and more ground day by day.
In terms of territory controlled and number of towns under the junta's control, it is definitely more than 50% lost and continuing to lose more territory, towns, and regional strategic bases.
Military still control major cities. They lost control of many small towns and some trade routes their lines are spread so thin, if they let go of some territory and consolidate their strength they can surely stop the offensive of rebel forces.
When the Military Come back to Defending the People Not Killing the People they are there to Defend that will start Democracy. Will there be elections in 2024? they are due
The military did not murder the Rohingers it was the Buddhists and a supporter of the violence was the Nobel Peace winner. The USA wants to destroy China's Belt and Road program that the US and UK want to destroy.
True and well said. 1970 Bangladesh civil war sent nearly two 2 million refugees to Burma, four 4 million to North-East India, and half a million to Nepal. Those nowadays refugees are originally Bengalis. WASHINGTON POST. "India’s crackdown on illegal immigration could leave 4 million people stateless" An estimated 4 million people living in a border area of India have been left off a controversial citizenship list designed to stem the illegal flood of immigrants from neighboring Bangladesh, the majority of them Muslim. [WASHINGTON POST, 30 July 2018] Another one from SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST. "India excludes 4 million from citizen list in Assam state, sparking fears of mass deportations" India says hundreds of thousands of people have illegally entered the country from neighboring Bangladesh over decades and settled down in the North East. These western self-righteous holy cows do not address the root problems. Real truth be told, the entire region of today's Myanmar had Buddhist and tribal people living peacefully and in harmony until the British colonizers and thereafter the Christian missionaries invaded and destabilized the society. Rohingya's are also foreigners, ethnic Bengali migrants of the intolerant Sunni Muslim creed. Islamic jihadists and Christian crusaders are the real culprits, who are hell bent on fighting and converting native cultures and beliefs all over the world.. Military juntas and corrupt dictators are a product of political instability and anarchy, while the Chinese communist rascals never fail to exploit chaos for their own selfish gains.
All oppressors is bad , nomatter where they exist. Freedom to Palistine, to the people of Myanmar and all others on earth being oppressed. God help the oppressed.
Also, when the groups come together, its not like under one commander like WW2. They agreed on timeline and territories. They dont do joint operations. Soooo
UN Organizations in Myanmar are trying to work alongside Junta Government with “minimum engagement” and so far it seems to work. As a Myanmar citizen, I hope all the International Community would act like these UN orgs and don’t meddle in our ongoing revolution with these agendas like humanitarian aids or regional stability. We didn’t ask any help even in the name of democracy since we know we are not Ukraine nor Taiwan. Please just forget us like the World used to. This is way more better than no hep with these sweet humanitarian words.
@@lalnunsanga9701No. Many Burmese are not that against Junta. Are you Western Media Mouthpiece????? Western devils evils just want chaos in other countries, so you guys can rob their minerals right??? 😂😂
Bangladesh has taken 1 million and is taking diplomatic routes to safeguard these refugees. On the other hand, Indonesia is whinning over 1500 refugees. As usual muslim countries having narcissistic policies.
Maybe you should read more, there are many reasons as to why Indonesia didn't take them in, one being them having conflicts with the locals who took them in.
In Mizoram State of India more than 80 thousands refugee take shelter since from the beginning without any financial help of centre government the state government and all the people of Mizoram taking care of them not only that the state also provide shelter for more than 10 thousands refugee from Bangladesh.
Is the end near? I hope so. The question becomes, will what follows be better? Prediction: post-victory internecine warfare among the factions now united against the military junta.
Debatable. Main factions had their border drawn long ago. They demanded autonomous they was promised first. Then if the federation agreement honors there a good start.
What ever happens there will only be more division. The unity will only fracture the Junta and the EAO’s will become independent states. This is the most realistic outcome.
The fact is that even if the ethnic militia overthrows the Junta, democracy will be even far in Myanmar. The ethnic groups are neither democratic nor patriotic. Thus, the union will start to disintegrate.
Yes the problem is many of these ethnic groups wants their own state instead living together due to centuries long of historical issues. Even after the junta is gone, the new government will need to disarm these groups by either diplomacy or force.
The ethnic tribes don’t want to rule, why is that so hard for people to understand. They only started fighting because the military started attacking the villages for no reason. Myanmar will go back to the qualified democratic individuals, such as Aung Sang Suu Kyi
Myanmar need a leader that not only able to unite it people but able to plan for the future. The current bunch of leaders including Suu Kyi are definitely not the type of leader that could bring Myanmar to prosperity.
Exactly. I was happy for Myanmar when she led. Then ethnic cleansing broke out. She didn't speak out against it or lightly supported. She didn't know how to tell her party it was wrong.
When Armed Robbers Burgle your house will it be ok the blame you for their crime, the junta Stole the election because they lost in an Election they had no right to be in! Generals dont get a vote
@@gordontranter8823 25 years doing business in Myanmar. She ask for it. Twice she repeated the same mistake caught by not coming out to clarify her position not to terminate the military held on the 25 seats. Her inexperienced and incapability of governing the country by surrounding herself with advisors from Australian and British that have no idea how to run the country nor the knowledge running a country like Myanmar, a backwards and a long neglected country but resources rich country in Asia not Europe or USA!
I feel sorry for China in this case. They have so many pressing economic concerns to deal with at this juncture and the last d$@% thing they need is instability on the border. China is right to try to not pick sides because no one knows who will be more sucessful or stable in the long term governance of Myanmar/Burma. I also pray that if the resistance coalition is triumphant that they will realize that the BRI investment already undertaken in Myanmar is a strategic asset to them as well and that they maintain friendly working ties with the PRC. I'm not a particular fan of the PRC but think that they have a lot to offer the world economically and are suffering unduly as a result either of internal mistakes made during zero covid, natural disasters, or overratcheted trade bullying and encirclement by the US, which has moved from reasonable, just a few years ago, to radical and needs to be toned down.
Junta ruler should turn over command and restore democratic process to Myanmar now that it is on the verge of defeat by united rebel forces , army of the Myanmar people.
The ignorance of the world that focus only on so called free Palestine even though that most of them living in Gaza were involved in massacre in Israel.
It is naive to think that if the militias beat the junta there will be democracy. These are militias with their own warlords. Once the junta is defeated each militia will fight for their own turf. It will be more like Afghanistan where each region will be ruled by a warlord.
A beautiful country that has been held back by the military over the decades. Such a tragedy for such a potentially rich country of Burma. Perhaps a federal country is the only solution. Read the glass palace to get some insights into what the British did to destroy the Burmese state and monarchy.
If there is anything that can be said to simply the ethnic conflicts within The Republic of Union of Myanmar, I think this must be the political caste system which had long been practiced by the majority ethnic group of Myanmar, i.e. the Burmese Group, no matter whether it was under rule of the Junta Government of Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing or it was under the rule of the democratic unity government of Aung San Suu Kyi.
Ethinic divisions and conflicts are systematically set by military mostly by military propaganda. Extreme nationalism has been nailed in and sparked fires for numerous ethnic and religious conflicts. And please note that those armed ethnic groups just gave a birth to a well trained version of new rebel groups, those who used to call themselves the majority of Burma. So, along with the end of the military, i guess there will be very little or no suppression of and upon minority.
Well, the British Empire promised the what so ever ethnic the freedom, but it is so difficult to unite. One solution, join with Thailand and become One country. And because 1/2 Burma is ex-Thai / Cambodian people, Enclave and exclave. Our lady did ask Thailand but Thai are not ready.
Check with M'sian authority how does the Rohingya refugee treat the country which allow them to stay. There is certainly a raeson why even Indonesia doesnt wanted to allow them to stay.

Kenapa negara lain ikut tanda tangan menampung setiap pengungsi tdk bertanggung jawab ..sedangkan negara kami tdk ikut tanda tangan serta bertanggung jawab atas setiap pengungsi saat terjd perang.
It was the evil West's refusal to support Aung San Su Kyi to grow democracy in Myanmar on the Bangladeshi Rohingyas infiltration into Myanmar that led to this tragedy. The West itself want to stop all immigrants into its own shore, especially the USA from its economic migrants from its south but wants Asian nations to allow militant Islamic infiltration into their countries.
U r talking about that BS Rohingar , not talking and showing real enthnic people. Ur ch is BS Rohingar is not the real enthnic, The real enthnic are real need help. What a shame
CIA's propaganda m/c works. PRC wanted Burma peaceful so that PRC can make its road & belt initiative trading plan. Now, PRC is going to sham away to do land bridge in Thailand.
The report is bs, china man might as well advocate for the military at this point, his analysis is based on pure pessimism, there can also be no talks with the junta who have perpetrated war crime after war crime. Worst case scenario, the country is balkanized, so be it, the ethnic groups have suffered long enough, there should only be one acceptable outcome and it is the annihilation of the military dictatorship. The reporter also talks about both sides violating human rights, yes, one of the ethnic groups allegedly forced conscripts, but to simply compare that to the indiscriminate bombing, pillaging, and razing of villages is laughable. I also feel that they trying to push the Rohingya agenda, because the majority of all of the recent war refugees are not Rohingya but many of the other ignored ethnic groups the west ignores.
Myanmar civil war is played by China. China seems to be supporting both sides, but they now favor northern Alliance Brotherhood called (MNDAA, TNLA, AA) more than military junta because they think military junta is untrustful for them. China not only creates fire also involve in Myanmar's internal affair.
What a naïve! "Myanmar civil war is played by China." Not really. PRC is impatient with dictator. Because of this dic, the country is in turmoil and PRC can't do road & belt initiative trade route. Burma is between cross fire of trade war of US and PRC (check geopolitical issue, CMEC: China Myanmar Economic Corridor, railway Kunming (PRC) to Kyauk Phyu, Rakhine State and Kra land bridge of southern Thai that planed by Thai and PRC). PRC wanted Burma to peaceful so that it can do road & belt initiative trading route. PRC will side whoever the winner in Burma to do its trading route. PRC is trapped with its own motto "non intervene in other country's internal matter". Just after coup, ambassador of PRC asked dictator to release State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and president U Win Myint but dictator didn't care. 4 months after coup, PRC, India, Japan, UN and EU tried to negotiate with dictator behalf of 8 ethnic national armed group but dictator refused. The latest problem. Louk Kai, border town of PRC and Burma, there is criminal gangs from PRC, Taiwan, HK, Macau and making phone scandals and many countries were duped (even in HK alone, 1.1 billion HK$, i.e. 137.5 million US$ lost). PRC asked to catch those Louk Kai criminal gangs. Among them, 5 are dual citizen of PRC and Burma (illegal for both countries as only one citizenship is allowed), 5 are Burmese ethnic which 2 of them were given wealthy title by military dictator.
The rebels can't win against the junta in the heartland and the junta cannot defeat the rebels in their mountain strongholds. So unless all sides make a deal, this conflict will go on for decades.
When the military government is overthrown, what will become of Myanmar? Will it become a federation, confederation or break up into multiple countries like Yugoslavia over 30 years ago? If the country really break up, this is all the fault of the military for bringing down a legitimate government 3 years ago.
So the UN Humanitarian group still exist, can they send some aid of them to Gaza, they probably don't know people are suffering there even before the problems out there.
Jidhar bhi dekho, ek besabri hai, kaun kidhar jaa raha hai, kaun kidhar aa raha, poori duniya main afra tafri hai aur sab keh rahen " wah kya baat hai hum toh chaand se bhi aage badh gaye, mars pe hai aur jupiter par jayenge, aur dharti pe kya hor raha hai hone do"
Respect international law? Do you respect my people and my leader? Can you tell the true about the conflict? Using a burmesse man to represent karen people is like u Asking to be slapped in your face, i don't see any leader of several state who represent its own state in here, all i see is the same political who supported juntas are in the video since after Colony, liee and this messages is from a kawhtoolei man ok? If you want to know the true go and ask karen state leader
