It true when I got a proper electric mountain I was a little worried about not having a throttle, but with the torque sensor, it does make me want to pedal more 👍🏾💯
Hi Steve, that is a very handsome looking well built bike. Looks a decent size too. Might have a look at that. I really enjoyed this one. I do miss your videos when you put them out. Keep them coming mate. They don't all have to be ebike related. Your previous mental health ones have been great listening. 👍
@@DudeStuff You're a stud mate, do whatever makes you feel good. Tbh, I'm going through some rough patches myself to put it mildly, and your content actually has been one of the things which kept me feeling a bit positive about things. Just thought I'd let you know, you're helping others not just with great information about ebikes, but your content is just easy listening and you come across as such a relatable person. For me, after a certain point as yes I did come mainly for the ebike reviews, but it grown into 'I'll probably watch anything you put out, just because of your personality'. Thank you for your content, informative always but also just packaged in a way which makes it easy to digest.
@@StereotypedFilms only a 14ah battery so honestly probably about 20 miles if you unlock it and go 28mph everywhere. They sell a bundle with 3 batteries for not that much extra money so that might be the way to go.
@@StereotypedFilmsOnce I got down to 2 red bars. I must have done at least 70k and that testing and trekking. I've used it everyday since I got it. I do about 35k a day to work and a light trek and I use about 1 to 3 green bars. I don't have other bikes to test it against but it's the best bike I've ever owned and I'm 55 years old. I think it's great fun and solid, everything works great on it and I love cycling again.
Nice to see your video! I have been riding the Titan for a while now, and everything is quite good because my knee was injured while playing basketball before, so I can no longer engage in high-intensity intense exercise. Titan has helped me solve the problem of short distance travel, which is really good. Thank you for your video
Loving this one mate. Still got the workhorse/tank/landy style about it, but they drop the middle bar far enough for even me to get one of my stumping over it to get on and off. Great review 👍
Titan is really worth buying. It has been used for three or four months now, so you don't have to worry about parking when going camping anymore. It really helped me a lot.
How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? Whenever I see bikes with a similar style and frame to the T1 Pro, I see taller guys pedalling with their knees flared out wide because the seatpost doesn't adjust high enough. It seems like a good bike, but I don't know if it suits us taller men. Thank you.
Torque sensing ebikes FTW. Much safer indeed, and you don't need a throttle to achieve it, plus it makes people actually 'ride a bike' instead of trying to use their wrist to go forward!
btw, an aspect you never really cover are the forks. Most budget bikes come with literally terrible forks, cheap coil things with no rebound dampening. These do look a bit beefier, but it does look like a coil fork with just a preload? Btw 2 pot vs 4 pot brakes - > 4 pot is not dual piston.. that's a 2 pot lol. Main pro for a 4 pot over a 2 pot is having double the pistons, but also double the fluid. This helps keep your bakes cooler during hard braking, leading to less fade do to heating up the brake liquid.
Mate you banter is top. Thanks for the nice wee review of the titan as I am in the market for a bike it's helps. Try not get hold of some Himiway bikes, they are a ligit bike manufacturer with bikes that will blow your mind mate and a well swept up Web site.kind regards
Man that's expensive, just 1,923.99USD before paying the shipping. My estimation for the shipping is around 200 to check with customs and shipping to my place
@@DeePaignall well I'm in the US so this will exempt me from the tax to ride it legally on my streets. I can imagine US customs stepping in if it doesn't work as the law says for ebikes
I'm 200 kilos and cursing the cyrusher ranger I bought for 28 hundred quid! Unfortunately when I bought the ranger fiido was only doing illegal models. What I don't understand is how this titan can be so much cheaper with what looks like better build quality than the ranger? I swear I'm building my own, next!
Prices go down in companies e bike ranges as manufacturing costs go down and they begin to make more revenue (well some companies anyway) Plus of course very stiff competition from other e bike companies all competing for customers sales. That's why it's very important to do proper research before making a purchase. Making sure you are willing to pay the price knowing something better lower price could be around the corner...
@@girlsdrinkfeckThe wattage output isn't just about the top end, it's mainly about the pickup. Even a legal 250w *NOMINAL* motor can pull much more during very short intervals. If I configure my firmware so it sets a hard limit at a certain wattage, this limits the amount of torque the motor will put out during acceleration. A dyno is perfectly capable of measuring the power output, not just the top end speed, that's how they check if mopeds adhere to their maximum power output. So no, limiting the top speed of a 750w motor doesn't make it a 250w motor. On the other hand, yes, if you limit the speed there isn't a cop on the street who'll be inclined to put your bike on a dyno. But if you run into a dyno checkpoint, yes we have those here.. because of the kid gangs on unrestricted fatbikes causing a ruckus everywhere, you'll get busted. *side note: I have a 48v 750w motor... and I count on not running into a dyno checkpoint, and not drawing attention in general for a cop to feel like he would like to take my bike to the station for a dyno test. If you drive 'normally', you will be able to 'get away' with a lot. For me, pickup is important. I sometimes haul a centipede of two cargo trailers, 40kg each, holding my inflatable and outboard + everything that comes with that stuff. I don't think a motor with a hard 250w limit would be able to get that of the line at a traffic light fast enough where the light wouldn't already be turning red again. The only reason there is a wattage limit in the %^#$^ law is because legislators don't understand how electric motors work, and they assume that having a lot of power / wattage means you ride faster. Perhaps a bit like you? I can configure my mid drive as a 250w hard limt, and I can make it go faster compared to configuring my firmware so it maxes out the amps the battery can handle pulling much higher wattages... because I can change the gearing. It's ludicrous, cars have to adhere to a speed limit as well, but no one would tell people they can't buy a ferrari because they are not allowed to have that much power.
in The Netherlands they want a driver license for e-bikers :S just because 10yo kids drive crazy around on fatbikes :S :( realy WTF and the MAx speed is already 25 kmph not faster ans Max 250w motor not more !. TSSSSSS
it's the other way around, cadence sensors are crap, just as throttles. Go ride an electric moped/scooter if you don't want to pedal ;) Only lazy people prefer cadence sensors, because they like to ghost pedal. Change my mind if you can, I'm very curious to your .. reasoning.
disagree with your statement. gives a more natural feel. the greater force you put in the more it gives back. cadence sensors just react to a movement in the pedal stroke and give the current which the controller has been set to. just like full throttle on a motorbike. its either on or off.
Nope, not allowed to be called a bike in Europe ; it's got a 750 watt motor. So if you get caught, you'll be warned, and if caught again it could be confiscated, you'd be fined and have points on your licence. Just get a bike that's compliant !
