You have accomplished a lot in 5years when you realize the profit you made on your renovation. Great job, now continue to work on the real dream you had And even if it takes a year it will be a great accomplishment, don’t be discouraged,be proud!
The grass is greener around New years time in The Algarve. 😊 The field behind where you are sitting looks so lush and green, I love it. We are experiencing a winter snow storm now and school is delayed 2 hours for Monday. You both did so much and Angela, your patience has paid off, now you are working on your dream homestead. OMG, Ken and I both had such a laugh when we saw you drink from your gigantic mug. I thought Ken had a huge mug from Disney, but yours is bigger.
omg yes it is big Abe bought it the Christmas before for me …it says the boss 😹😹😹😹 I don’t know what he’s getting at 😹😹😹😹 I love this time of year it’s to lush here 🐝🍀🌼 happy new year Tina and Ken hopefully we will see you this year and you find your dream property here too 🇵🇹💫
Happy New Year Abes and Angela. 🎉🎉😅 Wishing you all the best for your plans for 2024! You both have worked very hard last year to achieve what you have now. Hope you will achieve all your plans and dreams this year. God bless you both..😊❤ Emma Sydney
Hola from Spain. Like you we started off not even knowing what our end Dream was, but after 18 hard working years we've made it. Very hard work, lots of ups & downs, but not one single regret. As for Pork Pies, John makes the best, and so easy. As good as any we've tasted, also sausage rolls, crumpets, scotch pancakes, bread. You name it , we make it. Happy New Year to you all from our dream to yours. ❤️❤️
happy New year Patricia and John that’s amazing well done ….i actually looked at making my own pork pies and scotch eggs last night it’s something I will definitely do…..I will Vlog it see what you think ….John sounds like a definite keeper 🍾🥂💫
Here's wishing both of you a great 2024. And yes i know the feeling I've semi retired to travel around Africa and i do miss the odd pork pie, a proper scotch egg and a full English breakfast including Cumberland susages. Luckily Guinness is quite common so i can live with that.😂😂😂
Happy New Year to you both 🤩 An honest summary is much appreciated. A lot of work has happened in your last 5 years there. I remember the first few videos and hoped you would win through. You have not disappointed and huge congratulations are in order. We are further north in the countryside. Would we return to Uk certainly not but not everything is rosey. It's riding your own balance that makes life worthwhile. Thanks for the video 👍
Happy new year Richard wow you must have followed our journey from the start …🇵🇹 totally agree we all have challenges 🌼 very much appreciate your comment 🐝 thank you
Lovely to meet you all and spending some time with you and making new friends … will deffo have a Subscribers BBQ in summer you are all invited 🤩🍾🥂🥳💫🇵🇹
You have worked hard to give yourselves a good life and Abe is confident in his work and with Spencer, they can build a good reputation as good builders are hard to come by 👍. The UK is not the best just now. Marco miaow miaow is looking in great condition, hope he is getting on with Belle 🤞.
Love your content! beautiful property, adorable critters. Please consider harvesting some of the incredible wildflowers, easy to dry and sell for medicinal tea!
Me and my wife, enjoy watching your videos, The both of you are very hard working, and above all, i find you open and honest, Happy New year, and good luck for the future,
When I’m next over I would love to come and meet you both. I watch all your videos as it is all of interest to me for when I come over myself for good. I think you have achieved a lot in five years especially on your given budget and you live a wonderful life that is very rich in every way. There’s always going to be obstacles in life as you’ve experienced but better there than in a not so ‘Great’ Britain anymore and it gets worse by the day. Anyway enjoy living that lovely life and when I know when I’m next over I’ll be in touch and We’ll go and have a nice beer somewhere like at the end of this video. All the best, Mark.
So many great points you made …. We’ve been so close to buying but unfortunately have put it on hold for a while, travelling in our motorhome will do for now . We’ve lived & worked in other countries over 35 years but the grass is rarely greener. The bonus you “ Abe “ & me have is that we’re builders . I’m retired now , but could still do a property if we bought . Things have changed & it will take time but prices will plummet in central Portugal after the scrapping of the NHR scheme, i doubt it will affect the algarve , but retirees from us canada Northern Europe may hesitate . Scary about the dogs in your area & the closing of the local bar 🙁. We crossed into France new year & currently rambling along the Spanish coast.. we can pop into Morrison’s on Gibraltar & pick up a pork pie 😀.
Yes doing away with the golden visas won’t help either . End of the day you have to do what’s right for you. I’d love a pork pie and I believe that they are opening an M & S here but it’s the EU that have banned them not Portugal apparently ! All the best and a very happy new year 🍾🥂💫
Aww, Marco MeowMeowi s a sweetheart, and Gino is rather striking with his part tiger part leopard markings. You've attained solid dreams in your time there. I love all the insights, info, and sage advice you share with your viewers. Go ou d job keeping us sober and forwarned. I think you're well focused on renovating the littke house and finishing the main house and buidling on yiur successes growing targeted crops. I agree with your stance that Portugal is a solid opportunity to get (back) on the property ladder and more fully appreciate a wholesome and balanced life. I hope to find a bit of that myself out there. That's a nice day's haul of yummy things from your garden. Oh! I saw a cool film documentary called The Biggest Little Farm. Your snails may be begging to be wholesale consumed by ducks🦆! according to that film. In their endeavor to bring life back to their depleted soil, they were encouraged to plant diverse species of plants & cover crops and to bring in diverse farm animals to rebuild a complete eco system. Early on they had built a pond, introduced bottom feeder fish into it to stave off algae, then brought in ducks. They didn't know it at the time, but much later when their revitalized soil of cover crops attracted armies of snails that every night climbed and ifested their fruit trees abd ate all their perfect stone fruits, they learned that the ducks liked snails as much as they loved rain, and very soon the snail problem was significantly lowered to something they could live with vs being devasted by. If you haven't already seen this film, it might interest you greatly. 🤗🥰
Hi I have not done a vlog for a while as we had cold / man flu plus my camera is still being mended I will try to put one together for this weekend , thanks for the message 💫🇵🇹🌞
