@Natureboypkr2 it's kinda true. You got a higher chance to kill yourself if your a new rider with no experience. You dint get a bike like that and don't get on it responsibility..even being responsible you can go into a curve or turn and get into an accident
Here’s my take on this subject, I’m a Harley Rider, but I have a soft spot for Sport bikes. My old man taught me how to ride on his R1 back in the day when I was 14, grant it, it was in a big stadium parking lot, and then we rode through side streets. Honestly you can be a beginner on any bike, whether it’s a scooter or a Hayabusa, the point is, you have to respect the machine and know your limitations. We don’t get paid like professional motorcyclists, so why ride like one? At the end of the day, you can get bit on a Harley just as much as you can on a sport bike, do what makes you happy, just be careful. I hope that helps. Nice GXSR-750 btw, that sounds sweet!
finally someone who gets the respect thing, ive been say ing that for years but your one of only a few that ive seen that say the same thing, respect bro.
Harley riders are disrespectful imo. They start their bike that has no baffles in the exhaust, rev it up which is NOT needed! All while their neighbor with 2 little kids is trying to sleep. I never bought a Harley because I don’t want to be in that type of group. I actually like and respect my neighbor. Country boy, so only 1 neighbor near me.
I’m gonna start saving to buy my first bike for my birthday next year and I’m hoping it’s a gsxr750. Idc to start on a smaller bike and I keep telling everyone you can kill yourself on any bike and you just have to respect the bike and don’t rush the learning process.
theres only A and B mode. A mode is 100 % of power all the time. B mode just slows the throttle input when opening throttle. the top end speed is the same.
@@diegoaespitia you’re 100% right. I was thinking of my 2013 636. After making the video and watching it was like “dang, I said the wrong thing” lol thanks for clarifying!
Dont. Learn to ride on slower, lighter naked bike. Starting from supersport is never a Good idea... Trust me I saw some bikes for my 17y of experience 😂
@@ahmetmoses555 bike that you can handle with engine off, that you can pick up, with upright position and with less power 60-90HP. Enduro or naked bike. And go on track as fast as you can or get professional session even better.
@@oktanskioktan9372 thx for the tip , I'm 100kg and a bodybuilder 6.1 feet 😂😂 any other recommendations brand or anything o should take in consideration since not all bike are the same in terms of height or size ..
I always tell people to go smaller. It's just safer advice. Like if someone is ready for a bigger bike the worst that happens is they switch bikes to a bigger one. But if someone not ready for a big bike gets one the worst that can happen is they lose a lot of money or get hurt or worse. I just hate to be the person who tells someone something that gets them hurt
@jackboi2saucy408 you buy a bike to learn on first then sell it to recupe the cost. If you buy used you can often get your money back. I know like 5 people who have done exactly this. Some who have even made money.
its not safer, you cant learn throttle control or disiplin on a 400, you need to learn on something big to be safe, you need smaller bikes to learn the foundation of slow speed manuevers.
@@c1fi364 That's just not true and now how the world works. That's like saying you wont learn anything at school because kindergarten is too easy and wont make your ready for collage.
Contrary to popular opinion beginners should probably not ride a race bike. Buy a used 250, get all your beginner mistakes out of the way like accidental throttle over bumps and dropping your bike, then get a race bike.
my first bike was a 650, not crazy high in the revs like a 600 but powerful enough. i think just respect the bike, don't be careless. i went full throttle trying to pass this car while i was more inexperienced and almost got thrown off the road. even now i haven't tested the limits of my bike. i think whatever bike you get just slowly learn its limits
@@misero6130 I didn't have any trouble switching at all. I think once you have enough experience riding is riding. It's the same principle as every kid who races, they start with a motorcycle that suits their capabilities and upgrade when they have the skill to do so.
I don't know man, I'm a true beginner(never rode anything other than a 50cc scooter before) and decided to start on a Suzuki GSR600 which is like a naked detuned GSXR600 and the thing scares the shit out of me, GSXR750 is a very serious bike. Depends from person to person I guess.
I’m 58. Was just looking into my first Harley. A 2015 so frail slim for 10 g’s and 6000 miles. But the guy had a lien and woukd not let me go with him to pay it off and get the title right in my name. So today, I’m off to Seymour’s to buy my first brand new GSXR 750. Guess I’m not ready for the noise machine. Too loud anyways. Definitely to slow!
So pretty, what state are you in, I bought one and learned, as long as you learn how to brake, you’ll be ok. I’m old, and learned, the sales guy told me, this isn’t a beginner bike, my brother told me I was gonna die, the other day, the grocery checker asked what I rode, I told him a 750 gsxr, he said wow, I told him, if I could ride him, I could ride the motorcycle, he laughed, ok I am a woman, and it’s fun to ride
@@julieherbst4445 this is awesome Julie! And I’m in South Carolina. Yeah, it’s that good weather (for the time being) lol but ultimately, as long as you can control your throttle and learn as much as possible in a parking lot and preferably learn with someone. You should be fine
@@jimnorris4600 thanks! surprisingly, it’s a 2015. This body style ran from 2015 to present. As far as paint, yes. The previous owner had a custom paint job done. The bike used to be blue prior
@@bobbertyt2468throw a 450 supermoto into that convo. good first bike that still has a “fun” factor to it. Great platform to learn fundamentals on as well.
i’m 5’11 158 and so just wondering if this bike would be too heavy for me as something to start with i had an old 550 cc honda dirt bike but idk how it compares
I just got a 98 never been on one and dam near pissed my pants from a first gear ripp and I stalled like every stop 😭longest 2 hours and really dam fun. playing with fire fosho
Shout out to my Moncks Corner cousins! Yo man nice vid! Got my raw race replica 750 on the way! How are the brakes? I heard that the Brembo blocks are hindered by the master cylinder. Ride Safe!
yes so i just convinced my dad to get a sportbike since we're gonna share his motorcycle, i mean he's in his 50s and its propably not gonna be very comfortable for him, but off the bat i told him its either gonna be an r6 or a gixxer 600/750. hope i don't die on this thing lol (ps im like 15 with no license) :>
@@mahdikharrat2216 awesome, my advice is take it easy and respect the bike. Go easy on the throttle and learn as much as you can man. Congrats on the new bike in advance!
Beautiful bike. I wish I fit on one. I sat on one before buying my ZX4RR. I have short legs and short arms. I even lowered my ninja by about an inch to be more confident on. No regrets though. I'm getting that sport bike feel and can use all the power most of the time. The GSX-R 750 still was what I really wanted but I'm happy.
@@ZahMell If you are talking about the ZX4RR it would fit you perfectly. I was going to get tank grips but my knees don't even touch the tank. It hits right below it.
@@Emmanuelputunoi Respect the bike are true words. It’s not heavy and is a good beginner bike, but only if you are a well balanced person. Respect the bike are true words.
The gsxr750 isn’t a good beginner bike. If you want to be a good competent rider for life start on something small and get good on that. Learn the clutch, brakes, accelerator, cornering, riding in traffic etc on something low powered & comfortable ride the ass off it then and only then get a 600/750.
Nice bike man, I got a ‘21 ZX6R this past November for my first bike and I love it. Learned a lot and I’m a very confident rider now but still respecting the bike is key
I started in a fireblade and after a month I got a gsxr 1000 the fireblade was wrapped around a tree and it scared me so I went with the gixxer instead
@@chillwithkea Hondas in general are known to have twitchy fueling from the factory. Not sure if it’s a fueling issue or what. The gsxr is more delayed so easier to manage. Also the fireblade is as uncomfortable as the r1. I started riding about 15years ago.
@@CollinMac96 ooooh I gotchu that’s so true. I rode a BMW S1000rr and a CBR 1000rr. Both 2018 model years. The BMW was a smooth chill ride. The CBR, I barely used the throttle because it feel terrifying. That’s wild fr
@@israellarranaga8392 not a problem! The 750 is plenty of power for the street. It’s gonna depend on what you want to do. If you’re gonna be roll racing definitely go 1000. But most people will get the 1000 to hold onto for years. That way, they don’t have to keep upgrading. Lastly, it will strongly depend on your experience level.
Yes, look up Gixxer Brah. He is 6'5" and your weight. The 750 is an extremely comfortable sport bike and you can ride it all day without your wrist or back hurting.
first ever comment but genuinely curious i’m 6’9 260 ish and wanting to get a motorcycle soon is there anything you could recommend that would be a good beginner bike i’m going for my permit the day i can much appreciated.
I appreciate your comment! With your height and weight, you’ll definitely need something bigger. Any 1000cc sportbike and cruiser for sure. When you take your motorcycle road test, you’ll want something smaller for the turns but after that, you may want a Kawasaki ZX-14 or a Suzuki Hayabusa. You’ll feel really comfortable on those bikes for sure 💯
MT07 is the answer. im 6’6 240 and have room on the seat left. you dont want a 1000cc sport bike as your first bike for the same reason you dont want a new luxury car for your first car.
Horrible advice for a 600, 750 or 1000 as a first bike, the comments are appalling, why would you start on something like that? Riders like that are the ones that ride the big bikes slow, never reaching the full potential, I see it everyday, guys on R1s, S1000RR, Ducatis, they can't even do a proper u turn or stop correctly
@@QuackCrac my advice is learn as much as you can on the smaller steps and slowly work your way up man! Take it easy on the throttle and take the time to learn something new about riding often.
@@chillwithkea Something with far less power and more relaxed geometry. An SV650 is a good starter bike that you can grow into a bit. Want more aggression? Convert to clip-ons or throw on other aftermarket bars. Other similar bikes like the Ninja 650 and CB500 are also good for beginners and give a little more sportiness out of the box.
Just your normal things like brake pads, see if she’s been dropped, and how the tires look. If the bike has the cat deleted but feels sluggish, the previous owner never got the ECU flashed. That’s the main thing to look for. Make sure the oil isn’t too dark as well
@@chillwithkealove it. 100% analog no traction control, abs, fly by wire…… a true ride like I had as a younger version of myself 😅. Enjoy brother b safe.
Every bike you get you should adjust your suspension to your riding style and weight. Find a shop that tunes suspension. It takes them about 30 minutes and only cost about $75.
@@chillwithkea yeah that must've felt like someone was watching you. 🙂 Nice video though. I started on a BMW R1100S. Probably too big. My Moto has been that the bike needs to be big/fast to get you out of trouble. Like when your are next to a truck, you need to be able to get out of that position.
@@darthzyl definitely did ha some people definitely do it on person 🤦🏾♂️ And see, that’s exactly how I look at it. That’s why I sold my z400. Great bike but felt underpowered ha
