Is the Husqvarna FE 250 really a good single track bike for shorter, lighter weight riders? I have found it fantastic for me as a newer dirt bike rider. Watch as me and a buddy tackle some Utah single track on a crisp, fall day.
I'm riding my Husqvarna FE 250 with a few modifications that make it a little more trail worthy. My buddy is riding a Yamaha 250 four stroke.
Husqvarna bike mods:
Front tire: Shinko F546 Soft-Intermediate Tire 90/100x21
Rear tire: Kenda K760 Trakmaster II Rear Tire 120/100x18
Nuetech Nitro Mousse Standard Progressive Platinum Foam Tube 90/100x21 (NM21-220)
Nuetech Nitro Mousse Standard Progressive Platinum Foam Tube 110/100x18 (NM18-285)

Much easier to prevent falling in those kinds of situations if you stand while riding. Geat vid btw

True dat. I try standing up as much as possible, but I was exhausted that day especially after the first time getting stuck in the mud. Thanks for watching!

I've got the same bike. First year with it. Really fantastic bike, could use a little more punch to lift front, but that's ok. Installed the jd jetter to manage fuel and have had no flame out problems at all. Overall it's a blast in the tight single track like you were doing. Hey I even have that same squeek in the front brake..no idea why, you?

I have the JD Jetting on mine too. I don’t know why the front brakes make such obnoxious noises. I figured it was just mine. Glad to hear I’m not alone. 😃

250 or 450 for this kind of stuff what is better?

That's a good question and an age old debate. I've only ridden a 250. I find the 450s to be too heavy. The buddy I was riding with in this video has a 450 and a 250. He is selling the 450 because he prefers the 250 in the more technical terrain.
