They just finished a 366ft tall and 526ft wide sphere here in Vegas, it's all leds inside and out, they just lit it the first time on July 4th and it's freaking awesome.
This is so easy today. I am retired video maintenance engineer and I had to adjust 9 pcs of CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors to show good on TV. There was a huge job to get them balaced first to match the studio lighnting 5500K -> 3200K and then all the monitors had to be equalized between. Those days in the 70’s there was no automatics and I used Grafikon visual color temperature standard.
what they forget to show is the wiring, it needs a powercable (running from one to the other powering about 15-20 panels. and there needs to be a data cable also in series. the data cable needs to go to a controller which is configured the right way based on the wiring. so the shown part is just 25% of the work.

When your see the big giant TV's... That's how they are made. Call it video LEGO! The cabinets which you see here are assembled in whatever way the customer wants. Essentially infinitely scalable in width and height. Then you wire it up with power and data and attach panels onto the front of the cabinet that have all the little led lights. Voila! Giant tv.
