Lol for the first question at 2:18, my roommate had us both tape our schedules up on the inside of the door every semester (classes, clubs, etc). Not only helps you know where your roommate is/when they're free to hang out, etc but also lets you know when they *definitely* won't be home. Useful for many other things like private phonecalls, telehealth sessions, crying alone, etc too
