I bought myself a trashcan! First off I want to apologize for the unfortunate microphone placement for this video, I'm still getting used to my new setup. I was looking for a desktop solution for editing videos so I could have my MacBook pro back as a full time laptop. The Mac Mini and Mac Studio weren't an option for me at this time because of budget reasons, so I decided to go with a 6,1 Late 2013 Mac Pro with a 6 core Xeon, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and the dual AMD Firepro D500 GPU's. I got mine from a company called Mac of All Trades, so this is also a review of how they did with the refurbishment of this machine. In this video I'll test video render and export times with the 6 core it came with. After that I'll be upgrading the CPU to a 12 core Xeon which was the highest spec CPU you could get with this model. Then I'll test the render and export times with the 12 core to see if it was worth my time.
