M774 is pretty solid imo. T-55s and T-62s get instakilled by it while T-64s are a bit iffy. Rule of thumb for success is to shoot just a bit lower from center mass and you will one tap any PACT tank with any sabot round.
Some balancing is helpful, i played a mission against Abrams in T-64B and BMP-2s. Took them all out and got and Abrams from the side but the dude was the terminator. Took 4 sabot shots and 2 Kobra ATGMs before he blew me up. Next was 2 failed konkurs in a bmp 2 then 6 shots with another T-64, but something was glitched. The AAR showed hits to the the entire crew, engine, and ammo but somehow the crew kept on going.
Good shooting. I really enjoy this mission. A "target rich environment." Same experience as you had with the M774 round, penetrates on side hits, 50/50 on frontal hits.
Taking a single snapshot date, 1985 in GHPC case, and balancing around that always struck me as bad for gameplay. Now we have T series tanks with the weld on plates and cutting edge ammo for the time fighting M1IPs that are mostly limited to a late 70's round. When MP comes I have no idea how they'll work around such an inelastic way of balancing.
I would put 3BM32 in a similar level to M833 in regards to availability, if you set the mission as M774 vs 3BM22 it should be fairly representative of the main workhorse ammo by 1985. The weld on plates were fairly standard by that time iirc About multiplayer the devs dont really want to make it PvP, it will be coop PvE most likely
Dude plz when you se the Hinds next time just TOW them, you gave me some severe anxiety with this one. smart pulling the rear abrams back at the start tho
After speaking to a Bradley crewman, it's not really recommended to use a Tow against a helicopter. Hence I stick with with the main gun for that. And besides, there's no challenge and fun in just using TOW. 🤣
the T-80B's showed here side armor the whole time not very impassive when you can penetrate the side armor of any tank ( including the Abrams ) with 85mm APHE from the T-34-85
This video is basically a show of why reverse speed in Russian tanks being low is bad. I say that because people say "muh 4km/h" or "muh 10km/h" and I say "muh" because they don't know why its bad. The only times that reverse speed being good matters is stuff like this, you move up out of cover, fire and retreat. Stuff like "retreating over a road" doesn't matter, you smoke turn your turret and run because that is faster... and the Driver can see what he is doing, even if he has a rear camera that may be dirty
@@okakokakiev787 no, its not unicorn, this is a tactic armies uses all the time, its how you properly fight from hills and behind buildings What is "Unicorn" is start to retreat using only the rear gear because you want more armor foward, but if you turned around you would have not been in the battlefield for half as long
play with M456 or any of the pact heat rounds in-game they don't have a shoulder fuze if what's want you want also "why do nato players deserve anything" funny you say what as not only m774 has replaced M833 as the standard US dart in-game but also -M833's penetration at 0 meters has decreased by 20mm from 500mm to 480mm and it drag's coefficient increased from 0.08 to 0.25 -M774 has also had it's drag's coefficient increased from 0.08 to 0.25 while it's penetration of 440mm at 0 meters remains unchanged
