One day I used my mavic pro to get a great shot while following me through a wooded area.. it hit a tree at roughly 50 feet in the air and came crashing STRAIGHT down to the ground.. it litterally made a dent in the earth.. I saw there was no damage aside from a broken battery clip so I tossed the battery, recalibrated the drone and was back flying! Def the strongest drone DJI ever made!
I still have my Mavic Pro and I use pro platinum propellers on it to make it quieter. I bought it because it had ocusync and the connection is rock solid.
I own the Mavic Pro and it's been a blast. Done heaps of flights and it still keeps coming back. Interesting fact about the camera gimbal being able to turn side by side with the Googles. Very interesting.
This baby has done great things for me and i have no reason to upgrade. Ive crashed this thing like 6 times and still great. The batteries are great too still have the original ones.
I still really appreciate my Mavic Pro. It’s my backup drone at job sites, and it’s still a decent still camera as well. I also use it for testing apps out. Great topic today!
Just bought Mavic Pro for $350 with controller, 4 batteries (2 OEM, 2 aftermarket),2 pairs of OEM props and 2pairs of quiet props, phone connect cord, single batt charge adapter. It was worth it to me for a stable Aruba tradewind flyer!
I bought 2 mavic pro drones from ebay under one month , such a good drones , such a good tech , i'm really happy to have one of those . The first one came with drone , 1 battery , controller , adapter all cables inc. , extra blades , nice metal case , 128gb memory card , + 1 extra gimbal and 4 filters for the camera ( used in perfect condition no damages no crashes ) just for £200 inc. the delivery . The second one arrived few days ago with lots and lots of extras - drone , 4 batteries , controller , adapter , car adapter , multi charger adapter , all possible cables and accessories , lots of spare blades , big foldable landing pad for the drone , straps , all manuals for the drone + big hardshell quality backpack ( used in very condition no damages no crashes , all 4 batteries are perfect holding the charge like new ones ) just for £230 inc. the delivery . I think thats a good deal
One point I got to make is company's always look for ways to cut costs. I've beat the heck out of my Mavic Pro and stand by it's top quality build. I feel the newer stuff feels good but maybe a bit more fragile. Time will tell... I'm never selling mine cause it's a workhorse.
I used to be SO careful with my Mavic until I decided I “needed” a new drone. I been flyin like I stole it for the last year. I was trying to justify buying a new one but the Mavic JUST WONT BREAK.
Hey man I just finished watching your video excellent job, one of my coworkers just sold his mavic Pro to me for $350 with the fly more package! I think I did really good..👍
I still got mine, the best drone ever. Still flies flawlessly. If you want the best "flying camera" for social media, digital-material production (including commercial) this is it.
I still have Mavic Pro Platinum , I haven't flown in a year due to medical problems but am going to try to fly again. I would love to get the Air 2 but can't afford it so I', glad to here you say the Mavic Pro is still worthy if you already own it, now if I could only figure out how to get my DJI Goggles to work right. Thanks Again Brennan
just got one in a trade for a vr headset and race wheel i usually fly my dji fpv; this drone is legit for the casual pilot i/e; camping get togethers family videos and other stuff. love it and ive had it for 48 hours
Parts are a dime a dozen this thing is so easy to work on and I've crashed mine multiple times and the thing just keeps on going. there are a lot of benefits to this thing and it still has a lot of the functions and features of the ones that are three times the price. I have the mavic one and I also have an Enterprise dual and I still fly my mavic one.
Just got mine back out... used it once or twice when I bought it at Costco 6 or 7 years ago, and for various reasons never used it again till a couple weeks ago... Needed new batteries, but I love it! The problem is, I can't get the IMU to calibrate, so I am worried it will need some repair, and I have a feeling there will be no parts available anywhere... It flies, but I am thinking not as stable as it could be if the IMU was calibrated. I bet there is a forum out there somewhere?
One of the biggest issue is that DJI no longer supports it, no more hardware including batteries ! (I still fly one BTW, named "Bart" out of frustration at first)
The left shoulder wheel on the controller adjusts the EV or Exposure Value which allows more or less light into the camera. Watch the EV logo change on your phone (or my iPad) as you twist it one way or the other. I also use Litchi which I adore. I LOVE this Quad and have owned 2 of them in 8 years.
Got my pro platinum fly more on Craigslist for $650. Worth every penny. Since I’m still somewhat of a beginner(1 year of experience) it’s something I can mess around with and not worry about too much. Already crashed it twice 😂. Air 2 will most likely be my next purchase.
I got one on eBay for $200 almost new done 14 flights with all fly more combo, as a beginner want to use it for Real Estate Photography to start off until I buy a better one.
Excellent video thanks for sharing. Much appreciated. Yeah Mavic Pro. For me as a hobbyist what can i say!!! Top notch. I'm not looking for 4k Cinematography. I just really enjoy getting out in the wild...,well farmers fields Pennines etc and learning. It's been 12 weeks now and this is my thing. "Chill Time" Our grandson comes along 9 Years old and he's a natural... I've bought him a Mavic Mini. I've just scored a pristine Dji Mavic Pro Alpine edition. With all accessories three batteries etc. And you know what. If i come another Mavic Pro in pristine condition for the right price. I'll be alover it. So Mavic Pro in 2021..... Absolutely yes.
I almost gave in and purchased the Air 2 fly more with my credit card. Found a pro 1 locally for $400 I might go for it because I am clue less to flying drones. Are filters / extra batteries expensive?
So as a first timer, I immediately bought the fly more combo when it dropped (unfortunately I was one of the many poor souls that purchased through B&H and was back ordered for months!) and was so excited. But I was so scared I would wreck my new $1k+ toy that I never flew it. I still have it, never powered it up and have all the accessories it came with. With that said, should I learn to use now or sell it and upgrade to a newer model? I’m just a hobbyist and not a professional, so I’m wondering if it’s worth reselling or to keep it.
I am with you on this. Looked at it but not really fly it. Now its not worth that much I am about to go out again and fly without worrying too much. Go for it get some use out of it!!
I actually still have a Mavic Pro factory sealed in the box that I purchased for a friend. It may be the last one in the country that is still new in the box! It may be a box full of dust by now! LOL
i've had mine since 2017.. i looked on ebay last week they are going 350 to 400 from sellers.. ususally with extra batteries and a hard shell. I have a set of the dji goggles. none of the new DJI will support it?? I watch movies with it all the time, by putting movies on a sd card. it's the best on a Plane flight. ,, and ive hooked it into my cable box.. works great
Second hand it's probably the most affordable drone, only 250€ or so in Germany. I guess because of limited capacity, and the higher weight category. But as a toy it's really a nice value
I like from now on if anyone ever asks what drone they should get the answer is always or at least for the next couple years going to be mini 3 pro. Literally for anybody "Mini 3 Pro"
Mine crashed duebto a flaw in the Return to Home software and it's tendancy to overide control inputs from the pilot make it unsafe to use. The pilot input should always override preprogrammed controls. DJI refused to repair my drone after their software causes it to crash. Highly recommend avoiding no-fly areas even it authorized with this drone as the Return to Home festure makes it dangerous.
@@DRONR thanks. Nice video btw. I do agree with what you say mostly. The dual control thing is very interesting. It's a good drone, I just wish they would open the source code for people to develope their own apps. Also interesting about the panning of the gimble. I do wonder why they chose to not allow panning. Seems like such an stupid thing to not program.
I have a guy who wants to trade his Mavic Pro 1 for my Mavic Mini 1. I feel like it's a good deal but I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to drones. I feel like the Pro will give me a better ability to color grade my videos and just more features in general. Do you think it's a good trade?
@@reflux51 I went ahead and did the trade. Night and day difference between the mini and Pro! The dude messaged me next day wanting to trade back but i had already "sold" the Pro by then😅😆
Those propeller cages are going to be an essential when the new FAA rules take effect next month. We'll be allowed to fly over people, as long as we have a Part 107, and if the drone does not have any exposed rotating parts which could cause injury.
Its not an actual 4K camera either. Lol. But it takes better video than pictures. I still fly mine. It was the original OG, before they stopped adding features to sell different drones to get ""better "" features. 🙄
Very timely that i watched this. If this would be my first drone and i can get it for 400 bucks, would you tell me to go buy it? Thanks in advance bro. Love and video and u just earned a sub from me. Cheers!!
