I was about to say the rival version of the gun exists, but that one at least works, so despite being a jolt reskin in how much it holds, I can't say it belongs in the trash... if it's on sale.

True... You could buy the rival Reaper blaster but just repaint the warden andyou have the ability to throw them in the ground without breaking them, since it already is, at the cost of the gun notlooking the same.

Personally, I liked the design right after the ones with a spring when it was still a separate piece, and not part of the shell but now it’s stupidly cheap, idk what they’re saving with it

I was sceptical at first of the lack of spring on the rail tooth, though I do admit that I actually prefer the solid piece, as seen in Modulus and Doomlands blasters, over the original spring-loaded tooth from N-Strike and early Elite days. It just seems to hold attachments much more securely and with less wobble than the original design.

I believe they started in 2018. Looking at 2017, they have the spring, yet the Scravenger has a solid piece

(I should mention that I made the blunder of buying a Shockwave when they came out, so, I paid the piper on that one and it soured my outlook on the entire series)

I definitely don't have an interest in buying Elite 2.0 off the shelf. Based on my experiences, the Shockwave might be worse than the Warden (assuming it's functional).

@@beretnarf I at least managed to mod my Shockwave (as best as it allowed) before I gave it away; hardly made a difference but hopefully someone is having a good time with it 😂

I have been unable to find any decent modern NERF here personally AKA all that seems to come through here is vintage items. I did manage to get a 98" Big Bad Bow tho which is in pretty much mint condition minus the missing stickers and it fires Mega XL quite nicely so I am glad to have ammo for one of my favorite blasters.

@@beretnarf Shockwave owner here. It's not bad at all. It is surprisingly hardy. Fired off 200+ darts with it so far, so at minimum 13-14 full firing cycles, probably more than that, and it is insanely reliable. The prime is PAINFULLY easy, very little resistance, I've only had one jamming instance so far, it's still functioning and I haven't been able to break it. The only real issues with it are the sometimes inconsistent barrel clearances (leading to at least 1 dart usually not going very far and sometimes a few more), and no Slamfire. However, I do know for a fact that the Surgefire before it had unreliable Slamfire that liked to skip barrels, and at the max ROF I can maintain with the Shockwave, sometimes it will do that as well even without Slamfire, which is why I'm fine with it not having Slamfire. Oh, and a nitpick, the drum isn't easy to turn by hand, so getting to the very top and very bottom barrels of the drum to reload them is a little slower and more difficult than I would like.

Shockwave is completely out of question. I've seen far too many sealed shut in the box halfway or fully primed. Poor kids that are going to get one

I very much agree on the shockwave. I did play around with one because a friend had it and wow not only was it cheap but its performance was terrible.

@@mafia_trilogy_enjoyer I didn't throw it away, the repair was a challenge and opening it was a pain, but I'm able to fix it, and my Warden is working again.

So it's still broken... Yeah that's sad. "Good" job Hasbro

Interesting, I hadn't heard that about the elite darts before. There have been quite a few roughcut repaints so it's very possible things started going downhill before Elite 2.0...

@@beretnarf yea maybe they started lowering quality a little before. I had the BattleCamo Roughcut and I bought it a bit after it’s release

My battle camo roughcut actually won't fire 2 at a time anymore

I got lucky enough to buy white and orange roughcut,it was last on shelf somewhat 34 days before before elite 2.0 hit the shelves.

I still find the Turbine pretty ugly. It desperately needs a barrel attachment and a sight. Meanwhile, the Rapidstrike looks pretty great without any attachments and has an extending stock.
