Here is my review of the Netatmo weather Station, I give a look at the Main unit itself as supplied with the starter kit, and also cover an additional module and have a look at the app.

I like the modular approach, you don't get a lot of sensors in the base package, but can add on as you feel "the urge" 🙂 Cheers 👍

Indeed, I feel the base package is enough, then you can decide what you want from it in the future, more indoor modules (like I have) or outdoor rain and wind gauges. Of course you can have it all, but it's nice to be able to build it up as you go.

Thanks for the review. I bought one recently. It all works as expected. Except that the batteries that came with weather station lasted only a few days. I changed the batteries a few days ago. The battery indicator on the browser shows now only one short green bar on external module and will soon need replacing again. How long does the battery on your external module last? How long are the batteries expected to last on Netamo modules?

I'm glad it was helpful to you. I have heard of some people having issues with extreme battery usage, my only guess is the external module might be in a place where it is using more power to send its signal and has increased battery use. I don't have any use issue and mine last about 4-6 months on average. If it continues I could suggest maybe returning and trying a replacement.

Does the rain gauge update instantly? Or is there a delay?

I think it's updated every five minutes, most likely a balance to save on battery life vs being every xx amount of seconds which would use a lot more power.

Does one need the app or can I use it without an app or pc?

You need to use the app or a something that has a Web browser to access the weather station info. A slight alternative is to use an old tablet and display the info on there all the time, see my other Netatmo video for a how to.

For windows? My said errorcode imac when try bluetooth conection

If you are using Windows to setup the Weather Station you need to connect the base station with the USB cable to you PC, I do not believe Bluetooth connection is supported on PC, alternatively you can use a smartphone to compete the setup. Hope this helps.

@@basukisugito3275 There is an Netatmo installer available at the bottom of this help page: helpcenter.netatmo.com/hc/en-us/articles/7758234008338-Smart-Home-Weather-Station-and-accessories This should do what you need.
