Hey Joe, i work at a supplier as an engineer and I worked on the interior for this new Durango. Very proud of it and lots of hours put it into executing it and making it what it is. So great to see reviewers now appreciating it.
The durango does look badass but that's a subjective opinion, not everyone has the same taste, some might think the explorer st is the best looking suv on the market, some might even think the crv is the best looking suv. People forget this
As a owner of a 19 R/T . I must say that the interior refresh and the brembo brake upgrade is awesome. Definitely makes me think about trading up ! Love all your videos Joe, keep up the outstanding job!
@@Davido50 skip the explorer. That portrait screen and lag in the infotainment and gauge screen are definitely deal breakers. The sound system isn’t amazing either, from what I have heard.
@@keithgatzke5390 We had 3yr lease on last gen Explorer b4 '20 redesign . We loved it! Was Platinum AWD. Ecoboost engine was very strong , smooth & quiet. We didn't buyout lease as we more interested in '21 Explorer hybrid or ST. Looking @ few brands tho. New Trailblazer RS AWD seems be selling well in Northeast & uppermidwest regions. We've bought F150s for personal & business use over last 15yrs. 6 total. All were excellent. Super dependable. Resale always good as well.
Man, I ordered mine in mid October, still hasn’t arrived. Had 2018 model prior to it, and they’re great family cars. Better than driving a minivan. Can’t wait till I get mine
@@RaitisRides yeah most definitely! They’re under estimated family haulers because of the dodge badge, but fully loaded rt is a great value! Great video review!
Good on ya mp_2122, I ordered mine late OCT. Coming from a 2018 RT Django blacktop, I wanted 2021 Rt tow ‘n go for SRT underbelly bits for 87O0 weight RV towing. 👍👋
@@donkeller6399 nice man! Blacktop is a must on the Durango! Great choice! Have they given you a delivery date? Mine was delayed. Was supposed to to arrive 11/06 but now they haven’t provided a new date. Wonder what’s going on. Did you option yours with black or red interior ? Did they give you an eta on your delivery date ?
@@RaitisRides I just wanted to say thank you for all the reviews you do for us, especially the challenger reviews. I feel in love with the challenger the very first time I sat in one when I worked at enterprise years ago. I went with the V6 for gas mileage but it didn’t feel right so I traded it in for a 2013 R/T few months down the line. Didn’t regret it a bit. Then, of course they redesigned it in 2015 so I was like when the time is right I’m going to get another one. As much as I want a hellcat I couldn’t afford it but was torn between getting another R/T or scatpack. I watched you’re videos, on top of researching and found out you just get more with a base scatpack with a few options vs an R/T with moderate amount of options. MPGs didn’t matter to me at this point, so after watching your scatpack reviews, r/t reviews you were the final influence in my decision the scatpack was the one for me especially with the rebates! I don’t regret it one bit! Thanks and keep up the awesome reviews my man!!
I love the update with the U connect system. I still believe that system is the best over all. I hope Dodge was able to add a Panoramic Sunroof in the 2021 mode. I hope in the near future Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge will utilize a 10 speed transmission.
They did a great job with the new Durango even just this R/T, I really want the hellcat Durango but as of right now I might have to go to a lower package
Loving the videos and your enthusiasm as well as working in food as a way to quasi measure spaces. One request would be start doing follow up videos of how the vehicle looks at night, if possible.
I was temped to zonk this video for the absence of the 'on throttle' action, but I respect ya too much, Joe 🙂 Plus I know it ain't your fault. lol LOVE this '21, though. I'll take one in F8 Green with a side of Cool Ranch Doritos upon delivery.
Yeah, wife and I are in the market for an SUV, we watch your channel and share what we like. We both fell in love with your Telluride Night Edition review.
Just 1 more quick comment: the 2021 RT does NOT come with those flat black wheels in any configuration or package. Both the Blacktop and Tow And Go packages include 20 inch “Lights Out” aluminum wheels. They are a satin black color and the color can be seen most clearly on Dodge’s website under the Durango SRT Hellcat model where it shows a closeup of the SRT wheel (which is different than the RT wheel) but is the same “Lights Out” color. I WISH they were flat black. I like your video and your style. Great review.
I love them. However, I wish they were a bit wider. They just appear to be to thin when you look at them head on or from the rear. Dodge, give us a wide stance R/T and complete this beast!
We know ur all about the bulges on new Mustang variants! :) Hard to beat those Mustang sports cars. Eyeing the all new Mach 1 after holidays;) Love that voodoo engine design. Ford does performance right!
You said getting all that SRT goodness but it’s an R/T . I noticed the R/T has Brembos now as well as the bigger wheels and vented hood . What sucks is the only main difference besides sole interior carbon fiber and the engine is that nothing else distinguishes the R/T from SRT modeled anymore ...
Been looking forward to this car since about 1 year now :P I have a dejavu, same thing happened to me with the Veloster Turbo when it came out ... still own it 7.5 years later, but it's time for a change since family is on the way ... Love the explanation, thank you !!!
Ain't no soccer Mom Ecoboost V6 in the Durango. Powerful American 5.7 Hemi V8. You can have these 5.7 Hemi Durango's at 500 horse in no time. A simple tune snd transmission tune alone turns the RT Durango up big time.
Why would anyone go 155 in a durango. Ill drive my parents Durango and itll feel like its going slow at 100 but anything more is very very sketchy with the big and soft driving dynamics.
Hey Joe, Just a Quick Tip, You Said that This Durango Has different Drive Modes But You didn’t Show them In The back so I wanted to suggest Going through those Things in other videos and Maybe another “Part 2” to this Durango because I feel like Especially With Brands like Dodge that’s Really Important to Point out! Keep it up and Thanks for Making Car reviews You really Make My day when I watch Your Reviews, especially when You bring Up Twinkies😂😂
Jose I appreciate the feedback. This was NEVER meant to be a full review since we literally had about 10 mins with the vehicle. There will be more to come so stay tuned.
Stow N' Go. Tow N' Go. Pretty clever, actually. And with the ability to tow up to 8,700 pounds, talk about a muscle SUV. Dodge Durango R/T Tow N' Go. The official SUV of Raiti's Rides.
Man ford vs dodge/ram/Jeep is getting hot Ford Explorer st vs Durango srt Ford bronco vs Jeep Wrangler And now ford raptor vs ram trx Ford vs fca is like the American version of Toyota vs Honda, while ford and fca are fighting gm is dead asleep, and when Toyota and Honda are fighting, Nissan is also dead asleep
Thank you, Joe, for sharing! Dodge did a GREAT job with the refreshed look. Quick question: Did that particular R/T come with a second-row bench? Follow-up question: Can you option an R/T with a bench?
In the realm of price in this bracket, the Durango gives you a good bang for the buck. I would buy one in a minute but boy ohhh boy my Toyota Highlander is so dependable but boring. Dodge makes exciting products.
Not trying to nitpick- this new durango looks amazing- but you can already see panel gaps above the headlights. This may be just a prototype/non-production model, so this may not even matter. jus sayin
An old man in my town used to work at the local lumber yard. One day I was in there, agonizing over trying to get a piece of wood trim to match. He smiled and said to me, " A man on a galloping horse will never notice."
J ~ ya know how ya can tell if someone is Vegan or not? it's easy . . . they tell you. lol. the food references made me think of that. I like the Durango, it's an under rated monster of an SUV. great report - tony
WAIT at 6:02 he says ¨this car will able to two up to 8700 pounds but when I searched up the the towing capacity for the dodge durango R/T it says that it will be able to tow up to 7200 to 7400. So Raiti´s Rides i think you messed your information a little bit :)
Great video 👍🏽 Hey Joe can you please review a 2007 GMC Envoy? I saw in some of your older vids that you reviewed some older cars too and I would really like to get your opinion on it
