Ram is my least favorite of all trucks. Buth the blacked out Ram TRX is more appealing of them all. It's something about its demeanor. It's like the 87 Buick Grand National X of trucks.
They really brought this truck screaming into the twenty first century!! Shame it doesn’t offer a panoramic sunroof especially when you consider that all their competitors do
Yep. They obviously don’t cost that much in raw material it’s all about the R&D. The amount of time and research that goes into developing technology and electronics is extremely costly. Teams of engineers developing and designing these things. Not cheap and obviously they’re going to mark it up. It’s a business at the end of the day. Love this truck though!
When a Denali is not “ultimate” enough?!GMC should have included several things that’s missing before adding the ultimate to the name. Thanks Joe and Lori. Have a great and safe holiday weekend! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
@@triedproven9908 maybe one thing is when the black out the grill maybe finish the job and black out the rest of the trim plus you can’t even get super cruise Plus did they fix the lifter problem Yet ✌️🇨🇦
Great job on the review. I have this exact vehical with Onyx Black exterior and I love it. This video doesn't do the inside interior justice. Its truly the top notch luxury truck. I ordered my truck from dealership on Jan 20 2022 and was delivered to dealership May 31 2022. So there is a nice waiting period but well worth the wait. The truck is a head turner no matter where I go. You have to find a dealership that has an allocation for 2022 or 2023 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate. If they havevn't been allocated a request to have this vehical built then you're waisting your time with that dealership. I love this truck and can't wait for the panoramic view in this same trim level to come out in 2024 or 2025, it's coming. I'll sell my 2022 Denali Ultimate for that panoramic view ALL DAY.....
your content is amazing even I watched the f 150 lightning yesterday and it was great. I just want to tell you that you are doing an amazing job as a RU-vidr
Great Job Joe n Lori! This Denali is definitely ultimate, however I do have the same zonks in my notes that are the same as yours Joe: -Shiny chrome trim -No panoramic sunroof -No ventilated seats for rear passengers Next up: 2022 Sierra AT4X! Lol 😆
One can say am actually impressed with the new re design GMC Denali they came along way with this truck and am loving it, I would say it’s worth it a lil bit pricey but considering 76,000 tundra with less technologically differences it’s a plus for me. Great review my brother and I pray for Health, strength and better financial stability for everyone one ✌️
Joe, I completely agree with your zonk's on the bright chrome instead of the dark chrome. However, all in all, this Denali Ultimate is very attractive.
I’ve been watching your channel for a long time now and you never disappoint with the knowledge of the vehicles you bring. I believe GMC could’ve given a split sunroof however I’ll definitely have to consider the Ultimate. Lori thank you for your extraordinary camera work.
So happy to see you covering this masterpiece of a truck, I wasn’t that big of a fan of GMC or really the Denial trim 3-4 years ago but the last 2 years I’ve really changed and started liking them more. The color looking freaking awesome, the design is all around 10/10 for me and that’s including inside.
One of the first things I learned when I moved to Texas a couple of years ago that they love trucks out here. Most other places buy super cars and luxury sedans but out here it's about ultimate trucks when a few Corvettes and Mustang sprinkle here and there. Great review and this is definitely a Texas flavor truck 🤠🤠🤠
Yeah Wilfredo we Love our trucks in Texas, I traded in my 2018 mustang GT cuz I was geting a traffic ticket once a year and the wife got fed up so I bought a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited SLT 5.3L V8 and I really Like the truck!
I'm not interested in buying any vehicle right now but I watch this guy's reviews because he's so quirky and points out different features than most boring and mundane car reviewers
They all have issues all trucks in reality are no better than one another. A truck is a truck and as long as they fit your needs and have good enough acceleration then there shouldn't be any competition in who's better than who.
I have a 2017 GMC Sierra SLT with the 6.2 and the max tow lackage and it is a towing beast! I pull an 8,000+ pound trailer and set the cruise control...it tackles 5-6 degree inclines with no trouble at all. This Denali couldn't even pull it safely as it maxes out at just 9,200 pounds. Not enough tow capacity head room for most trailers. The 6.2 has been well worth it and makes the 5.3 seem like a 6 cylinder motor, which I had before this. That 5.3 strained at 6,000 RPM to get up those same hills and just couldn't do it.
No, GMC has not done enough to put the "Ultimate" tag on their Denali. For $81,000.00 starting price, I would expect a much more classy and ultimate steering wheel. I agree that they should have done a split sun roof. Remember, soccer mom's and dad's drive trucks too, a couple of HD 8 or 10" screens would have been nice on the back side of each front seat, have to keep them kids happy too! I don't like the trim around the wheel wells, I think some dark chrome would look really sweet against those bad azz wheels. I do like the 6.2 V8, i think it has plenty of power and torque. The hidden storage space in the back seat is kind of cool, more storage the better! Oh yeah, I like the front end, the grill against the dark chrome against the polished aluminum. I do like the tailgate. Great jo on the review.
adding those extra features you commented, you might as well get an Escalade, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, or a Lincoln Navigator. Which bare in mind all 3 of those luxury SUV’s have more space and a smoother ride b/c they aren’t trucks. These are luxury TRUCKS first not just luxury vehicles. If you’re worried about a family vehicle overall, get an SUV and not a truck. for 81,000 the denali is giving you luxury but a lot lf that money is also going into a lot of performance, payload and towing, you know the main reason you buy a truck in the first place.
Trucks have truly evened out currently now that other brands have caught up with Rams interior. With most trucks coming with all the features, good quality, solid looks, it's really just down to preference 100%
WOW !!! That’s an awesome truck. Imagine Joe if the two Zonks you mentioned (no chrome outside and a large panoramic sunroof) it would have been really the ultimate of luxury trucks. Thanks Joe and Lori for bringing us this truck … A+++. P.:S: … and with a Borla cat back exhaust … 👌👌👌👌👌.
I second the panoramic sunroof, if I may, add reclining seats for all passengers, bed step that is wider and drops to ground level and auto lifts, entire rear window that slides all the way down (electric controlled), throw some TV screens on the back of the seats for the kids
I love the color of the truck, and I love what they did to the interior of the truck with the brown and grey leather. I also liked the bed of the truck. Great job Joe & Lori! I hope both of you have an amazing day.
Love this design and style of the truck for a luxury truck Thank you Lori and Joe have a great day be safe happy healthy and enjoy your day and enjoy your weekend
This is my dream truck. First thing I did on mine was add the GMC front and rear Brembo brake package and Borla cat-back exhaust with quad tips in gloss black. Hated the chrome HDMI port looking exhaust tips. The truck stops on a dime with the brake upgrades. Immediately swapped out the crappy Bridgestone Alenza highway tires for some Toyo Open Country AT/III that increased the ride quality, control and comfort dramatically. Next I added the OEM metal Under-Body Skid Shield Package to replace the cheap factory plastic one. Installed an S&W Cold Air Intake with the oil filter and this 6.2L engine breaths effortlessly and gets up real fast. Tip, put her in Sport mode with Auto 4-wheel drive engaged and it’ll rip off the line. Lastly, I removed the chrome lug nuts and replaced them with black chrome ones to match my black wheels. Much cleaner look and the wheels appear to float. At 6’5” this truck has plenty of legroom for me and I love the high height of the seating position. Only complaint is the seats are a little stiff and smaller compared to my previous Ram 1500 Laramie. The 6.2L engine does drink gas so get the Duramax 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine if you’re worried about the high cost of fuel.
Joe I thoroughly enjoy your professional yet comical vids. This truck is beautiful and I would love to own one. Unfortunately very hard to get and the price is a bit high
A great looking truck. They added more features, love the exterior of truck as minor changes to front end it looks bold so be worth something love the tailgate really loving the Sierra.
@Yahshua's Disciple Yes Sir and it's a dandy. I think if every car was perfect how excessive they would be don't you think? You know you're doing well in life when you're driving a trucj.
I like the mixture of dark and light chrome. I also think that the front sunroof is appropriate, because if it were panoramic, it couldn't be opened. Also, a rear sunroof would only pop up and wouldn't slide backward. Many of your zonks, such as the key fob, wouldn't be worth the extra expense and really wouldn't matter to most drivers. It's just a thing that you keep in your pocket and no one else ever even sees anyway. Even if it had "ULTIMATE" on it, I wouldn't be taking it out of my pocket to show it off lol.
I have had ford, ram trx, Toyota trucks and I will say my ultimate is the nicest truck I have ever owned. The power don’t match my trx I had but you can’t go wrong with the truck driving you down the highway while getting a massage.
I just ordered mine! Can’t f**chin wait!FYI, they are not delivering these with Super Cruise right now, which is disappointing, but I’m okay with it. I’ve owned Jag, Mercedes, Audi and BMW SUV’s and hands down this interior competes and BEATS most of them! The interior is beyond phenomenal and the touches and details are insane.
GM dropped the ball at this price point this truck should have came standard with all the options , bed cover, true flat rear flooring and a panoramic roof. Also what’s the deal with plastic fender flares that are not painted?! Awesome job Lori!! When will we get to see you do a review of a ride!!??
I agree with your exterior zonk about the chrome. That dark chrome should be everywhere. Supercharge that thing and you have a really nice truck. (You still have a really nice truck without that, but you have to admit it would be nicer boosted.) "Let's fire it up and hear its rumble." What rumble?
Beautiful interior, very well thought and designed. I do agree, the sunroof is totally a huge zonk. Besides that I wouldn't change a thing... well maybe the price lol.
Been waiting for this to be uploaded when I saw your post here on RU-vid. .. I may not be able to afford this truck, but I love watching your reviews. Thank you sir.
This is the nicest looking pickup you have ever reviewed. I also liked the 2021 white GMC Carbon Edition you featured earlier. I went shopping for a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LTZ today. Inventory is non-existent.
Here in Texas it's damn luxurious AF!!! massaging seats and does have super cruise while towing too. Joe just forgot to show it I test drove one in pacific blue it's more badass in person. Denali ultimates are pure badboys if you ask me I'd haul any of my horses around with that badboy any day if I had the money.
@@RaitisRides yeah and I'm not worried about the classic sunroof instead of the panoramic sunroof zonk at least it still has a sunroof for the money. 😂 $81k plus a Texas dealership discount could be fair enough as possible and possible.
@@tedunguent156 nope just a guy that likes trucks. I'm actually a ford or ram guy I only like Denali trucks by GMC only thing I'll ever buy from GM I promise you denali or high country trucks. Especially this denali ultimate about the only truck I'd buy from GM.
From the outside it brings and shows ultimate that you got the top dog. The interior went a step forward and looks really good. Just beware of the ultimate price tag this will bring
It's sad how auto manufacturers go the cheap route putting on flat black plastic trim along the wheel wells and side skirts, ENOUGH Great work as always Joe and Lori!
@Yahshua's Disciple nice. I mostly use my jeep gladiator Rubicon for off-road trails out west. Plus I do some mud trails as well. Plus I use it for towing and picking up heavy loads as well . It's been a great truck for my current project. Plus i also have done alot of others things as well. Personally my favorite feature of it is that I can take the roof and the doors off as well.
Great Review! Beautiful truck. Just bought a 24' 3500 Ultimate. GM has really stepped up their game! I do have to ask, Would it be even possible to have a panoramic roof? Where would it slide back to if there was glass on the entire roof? It would be hanging off the back over the bed wouldn't it?
That Ultimate Denali Is Super Luxurious But Super Luxurious Vehicles Is Not For Everyone & I Loved The Sound Of That 6.2L Big Boy V8 Because It Is A 5.4 Second Truck.
Well if you think about it those luxurious trucks can be highly useful for some people especially for me hauling my horses and towing them places and doing farm works towing fences and all that good stuff. But I'd definitely get it with that 6.2 for the longhaul. And I think the denali ultimate even includes the 3.0 duramax as a second option and that motor hauls ass too.
It's well worth it. I have this exact vehical with Onyx Black exterior and I love it. This video doesn't do the inside interior justice. Its truly the top notch luxury truck. I ordered my truck from dealership on Jan 20 2022 and was delivered to dealership May 31. So there is a nice waiting period but well worth the wait. The truck is a head turner no matter where I go. You have to find a dealership that has allocation for 2022 or 2023 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate. If they havevn't been allocated a request to have this vehical built then you're waisting your time with that dealership. Good luck!
Love your jokes in these vids I just saw the 2022 Escalade I think it was and you were talking about hot dog slots and where you put your burgers 😂 and now you said tow hooks are to pull out fords toyotas rams 😂😂 love the vids man also you’re pretty detailed from what I seen so keep that up for sure I love a detailed video of a vehicle I was looking at buying
Nice truck. But the coordinates of Mt. Denali in Alaska is soooo cheesy. Edit: I love how there is a glove box for mountain climbing gloves. Florida is known for their rugged peaks.
Seeing the word Denali reminds me of Alaska, and today I saw a license plate from there, meaning that I've officially seen a plate from every US state! But on the topic of the video, dang this truck is sick!
