honestly glad he's getting a biopic, his influence in the music industry is crazy, he's produced so many hits, but the idea of it being lego-fied is such a smart idea, not only that its a fresh take on music biopics so far and the creative visuals that we could possibly see, but also i like that they were able to bring a lot of the people in Pharrell's life actually play as themselves which I think despite its of course an exaggerated version of stuff that went down, its still somewhat authentic cause yknow, they were there
If your not a hip hop, r&b or music head this movie may seem kind of odd. But Pharrell is one half of the Neptunes which is one of the biggest production duos in music ever. You definitely heard the stuff they did from working with Jay Z to Britney Spears.
This was a great movie for pharrell. We can still get a super serious deep biopic about him at any time but this will bring people together in a way we never seen.
I love this so much. Pharrell has such an interesting life and a huge impact on music. As a hip hop fan he means a lot to me. You'd be surprised just how many HITS he's produced
This story really could be a trilogy as long and stacked as his career is. Just wait until they get to happy and the minions era they are also owned by universal so im guessing it will be a huge part of the film.
I'm a big lego fan and I see this idea leading to more creative styled biopics with different art styles or directions. this definitely isn't the first time its happened but it sounds good enough. and to clean up some stuff 1. this technically isn't the next lego movie it's still a pherall William's biopic. 2. this was his idea not universals or focus features idea.
I know not everyone can know everything but I was surprised 3c didn’t know much of him. I think that’s a good sign of a good choice for this biopic. People should know more about what Pharrell has done
@@oju1iannlegendary hip hop producer, has produced an INSANE amount of hits.. songs everyone knows and had no idea he produced, 30 year long legendary career there’s a reason why he’s the goat
Honestly this could be the most creative thing ever done with the franchise. Because everyone did expect for Universal to just do what Warner Brothers did and just make a cameo movie with all their IPs but in Lego form. Universal literally took the rights and said “you know what let’s look around and see what stories we can tell using this, not as a brand or a franchise, but as an artistic tool.” I hope that after this they experiment even more and make feature adaptations of other Lego or Universal franchises like Bionical or maybe a film focused on the film industry and special effects (stop motion). Maybe the sky is the limit but I honestly think universal is going to space with this IP and I’m excited.
When they mention the set being bad, it’s because you can tell that they didn’t use Lego artists actual designs for the characters, and it feels so weird. You can’t tell who some of these people are as you would be able to with actual Lego art.
As someone who’s a Lego enthusiast and is on the autism spectrum (I’m trying to say I have a lot of Legos) when I first saw this trailer my thought was that it’s “kinda weird for someone to tell there life story in lego. but hey go for it” this movie looks pretty good, I had no interest in seeing it but after watching the trailer I’m on board.
At 4:23 the more round head could just be something kind of like the hat where you put it on the stub on the head because look closer and you can see a little line separating them
In my opinion I think it’s genius, Pharrell Williams is the type of guy to always think outside the box and when he was told that he should make a biopic or documentary, he said no at first but when he eventually said yes he thought that a normal biopic would be to basic and was already done by everyone else so he did something creative and fun
Pharrell hasn’t really worked with Emjnem like that, they did a song together with Royce da 5 9 around 1999 but it never was officially released but I think you can find it on RU-vid
Ohh you know all of Pharrell songs because produced and wrote for Rock Artist, Pop Artist, Rap Artist, Rnb Artist since the 90’s im almost amazed at anyone who don’t know him because 2019 I went to Rural Kentucky in a 100% conservative 90% white town (I’m black and Native American) with my ex’s family farm/ homestead(she’s white) and we were talking about best producers every one of them mentioned Rick Rubin, kanye west and Pharrell which surprised me
Never Thought I Would hear you Say Ninjago Me Being A Fan Of the Show I Say this Excited Me and I say YOU SHOULD WATCH THE SHOW ITS AMAZING AND POST VIDS ABOUT YOUR REVIEWS ON THE SEASONS if you want to lol
Woahhhh saying no one knows Pharrell is insane, Pharrell is easily top 5 best producers of all time, he’s produced an insane amount of hits dating back to the 90s and actually by 2003 he had produced about 43% of songs on all US radio. He’s 1/2 of the production duo The Neptunes along with Chad Hugo and the two are an unstoppable duo with an insane resume. You definitely gotta do more research on him you’ll be pretty surprised He’s done so much for the culture he’s more than just the Happy guy, that was just a comeback for him after being lowkey for a few years.
I all of a sudden I want to see a lego GTA movie. Too bad R rated animated movies in our country occur very rarly. An R rated animated lego movie is just never going to happen. Legos has nothing to do with mature content.
