I am so busy in life right now it took me 3 days to watch this. That makes me sad. I will share this video so many times. It is the best explanation of faith in the Bible that I have ever heard. I am almost 50 years old.. when people ask me how I could believe in the Good Book, I always answered "Faith", Faith is a hard thing to explain, however history is easy.
I follow you and hear your jokes and laugh each time. I love you Doc. I’m so glad you’re serving Him in the way you do. I use much of what you say in conversation with others. What you say is real. Truth. And truly unbiased. The first time Finding you on lline has been an impact moment for me.
"They did not confect these stories to support their beliefs but rather they develop these beliefs to explain unbelievable things that actually happened" Molly Worthen, Historian.
Your last argument makes it sound like the evidence for the resurrection is equal to or more important than the Bible. And it’s the same argument ANDY Stanley makes.
I don't believe they did away with the Sabbath, if you read Acts you can see they still observed it & that was when they taught in the synagogue a lot of the time just like Christ did. But of course they no longer follow the law which requires death to anyone working on the Sabbath & they did not require gentiles to follow the law of the Sabbath either. But in reality I don't think anyone can do away with the Sabbath because that predates the law, it's one of the first thing God told Adam to observe in the beginning
you are wrong the apostles kept the Sabbath and it was changed by Acts 17:2 Constantine. Acts 13:44, Acts 18:4. Matthew 5:18 all the Laws of G-d are still in effect.
The laws WERE in effect during the Acts references that you mentioned because Paul was just then bringing the Gospel to the Jews. Where & when did Paul go when he wanted to preach to all the Jews under one roof? The synagogues, and on the sabbath day. He was not keeping the sabbath day- he was spreading the Gospel, which leaves out only one commandment- to keep the sabbath day. Why does the Gospel leave out the sabbath day? The purpose of the sabbath day was to rest, as G-d did, and sanctified it. That is to rest for ONE day. Christ now provides that rest on EVERY day, "The Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath"- Mark 2:28, so we no longer need to keep a single day set aside for rest. Mark 2:23-27. Our souls rest everyday. Also, extra sacrifices were required on the sabbath day. Because Jesus' blood atoned for our sins on the cross, those sacrifices are no longer required. IF the sabbath day was still required, then every person who leaves their house on Saturday should be killed, and we would all still need to offer burnt sacrifices.
What he said about the Shabbat is wrong. Roman changed the day of worship to Sunday because Shabbat was Jewish and anyone who rested on Shabbat was put to death. The first church of modern day was antisemitic. The book of Act was almost not put in because it was too Jewish. Luke and Act are actually two parts of the same book, but they were separated because they were too Jewish together. James is also not a Jewish name, in the new testament everyone who was named Jacob the name was changed to James in honor of king James. The book of James is actually called Jacob in the original language.
Dennis Prague may be conservative on many issues BUT he is very agreeable with pornography even as a married man! Yes I’ve seen videos of Dennis saying so.
The word of my Father and his Son and Holy Spirit it’s not something to be joking about and this guy does not take it sirius and from what he said does not understand the word of Christ at all 🥲
@@davidplummer2473it’s about the 10 commandments in the New Testament even Jesus kept the sabbath and he said the sabbath was made for man he should he is joker that’s all 😢
Exactly something satan would say. That ignorant and shameful statement is impossible to know. There is far more evidence that points to the existence of God than to the contrary.
