Well if everybody would just boycott them until they put them on there and stop paying the money then they'll do it it's common Sense really people just can't go without their video games so they'll pay anyways lol @@faiga3544
@0badboy0 then if you pay more you get gameboy advance games and n64 games. Really they should have gamecuve and wii games but nintendo being nintendo milk you dry
He keeps bringing up the price compared to Xbox and Sony, what he neglects is that NSO+ is only $10 cheaper and Xbox gives you free MODERN games and an actually good multiplayer experience. If NSO+ was $20 cheaper you would have a good service but as of this comment the value to cost ratio is not there. N64 is cool but just not worth an extra $30 to the regular subscription.
As someone who has emulator consoles I think the nso expansion is worth it but the main question is “is it worth it for you” for me I like it because all the retro games all on one console I love to switch from botw to Mario 64 to me it’s worth it because I’m on the go and I like to just take 1 console not all my emulator consoles so I find value in it also you gotta be a big nintendo fan since you’re playing mainly old games which age well but are old games compared to ps plus which gives new games . What I recommend is try the expansion at least once play all the games and after save up for a RP3+ it can emulate all the way up to GameCube then you can download the games you liked while on the expansion and you’ll get to keep them!
I doubt Nintendo will pay for it sadly.I feel your pain on this and my heart goes out to you but you have about as much chance as me getting Square-Enix games on the online. You will get BURNED by Nintendo on this and I dont need future knowledge just look at Nintendo's past on betraying fans
I'm more of a ps5 dude, but recently liked my switch so much for it's portability and the cool games on it. Now thinking to get switch online as I'm not getting ps plus till it's worth it now. The price for this isn't too expensive and might get that voucher deal for some games like odyssey and something else (as I'm a bit new to nintendo games overall).
@@McSmurfy if you have splatoon 2 i wouldnt get 3. odyssey is one of my favorite games on switch and (im not sure what exact games are on that voucher) botw is my absolute favorite game on steam. if you have neither id say theyre both must plays
@@HeadRedShot Okay thanks for the response and I'll maybe get Odyssey first with one voucher and save the other one. Maybe Luigi mansion 3, super mario 3d world or wonder for the 2nd one, but will need to check what game I'd like more (just finished nier automata 3rd ending and that was fun, so trying something new).
I emulate and got even those emulated consoles but I got nso expansion and am really enjoying it it’s convenient to play botw 2 then switch to some Mario golf 64 then some gba games all in my switch is awesome but the biggest problem is you don’t own them but so is Netflix and every other subscription it doesn’t justify it but if you’re fine with that it could be worth it . I also think you gotta be like a big Nintendo fan since it’s really older games you’ll be playing older games compared to plus where they throw in new games
Just bought a switch and I think the price is pretty reasonable. I haven't even hooked it up yet as its an xmas present for the kids but still. I'm primarily a PS5 player and PS plus is just straight trash, and they even give you the option to pay more (lots more) for even more trash. Either way I got a black Friday bundle where I get 3 months free so no harm no foul.
Quest 2 gave more things withing device alone plus free and better online play as well as way more free apps than Switch would ever give you no matter how much money they earned. I owned both and Quest 2 is hands down the best experuence I have in my 30 years of gaming. Nintendo loss track of what makes gaming enjoyable
I'm PS5 gamer but got Switch about 6 months ago and I spend more time playing Switch now than PS5, I only have Zelda Breath of the Wild but I play SNES games alot so Donkey Kong Country, Mario All Stars etc its cool playing these classic games especially if like me u get disillusioned with modern gaming at times.
Considering what PS Plus is this sure as heck is worth it to me at least I'm for the Retro games some of the best games at that so yes very very well worth it.
3:12 I don’t wanna be annoying but you accidentally misspoke and said $35 a month when it’s a yearly charge. But I think the prices are very worth it and my regular membership ends this month! Going to upgrade to the expansion pass for my next yearly billing
In fairness, the access to the classic games continues even when the membership expires if you're not connected to the internet. I'm not sure what the cutoff is, but at this point I've had a week of access for free, though I'm certain that it shall lock me out soon. XD
ok, i do think the price is worth it for a year. lemme rephrase that, FOR A YEAR. i feel the actual issue is that it doesn’t give you any other options to buy it. it’s really dumb that you are only able to get it yearly.
I bought a switch yesterday and got mario rpg which is excellent! I bought 3 months of online services but didnt notice the expansion pack! I was hyped to play super mario 64, zelda ocarina of time and so sega genesis stuff! Im enjoying the nes, snes and gameboy stuff but guess Im gonna upgrade again for the other content! I wish they had a deal to get a snes classic id jump on it! I have the nes mini which is awesome and play alot which if they made it connect to the net to buy more rom packs that would be off the hook!
what kind of question is that lmfao? but I'll answer, I've got a family membership with the expansion pack and everyone in the family can play on their own, like they have individual memberships idk why that is even a question it wouldn't make sense
Nintendo needs to make some adult based games Mario kart and stuff is just not enough to pay $50 and another thing they should put out a list of games for each expansion because without a list we're literally buying blind.
Okay big question. Didn’t the N64 games originally come with the Nintendo online regular cost, and just recently they changed the expansion pack to another service that costs more.
seriously though, where is donkey kong 64, banjo tooie, Glover and Gex ? i bought n64 expansion and cant play what i want. not to mention the gameboy pokemon games.. i want to use my own pokemon on stadium..
Custom button mapping would help. I wanted to jump into Ocarina of Time, but its stupid how they handle the button mapping and screws me in game play. My kids love it. I'm a bit pissy about it.
Hey! Thanks for the breakdown; quick question! If my wife and I want to play the SNES/N64 Mario Kart games against each other locally on one switch, can we do that with the individual plan?
I am still confused you only explained the expansion pack. Can you still play N64 games without the expansion pack or do you need it to play old games.
I think nintendo is really ridiculous about the expansion pack. I have just purchased my switch OLED. I then purchased 12 month online subscription. Only to discover it doesnt really do anything. It allows you to download the emulator app, but you then need to purchase an additional expansion pack to download the games. Nowhere does it list the games available. Then they have the audacity to not offer a trial they THEN say you can only have a 12 month subscription. How am i supposed to know if i want the expansion pack or not. Sorry but its a joke. I assumed the nintendo online was similar to playstation plus, where you pay for online content, free games etc. Think ill just stick to basic gaming on my switch.
Question ❓❓ if I buy the expansion pack this year and don't renew, will the animal crossing expansion go away? Am I renting it or do I own it? Do I have to keep paying for expansion to use it??
How do you get people to pay on the family membership with you? Are there separate billing options? What if someone doesn't pay the 2nd year? Can you remove them?
the admin can invite other people via their email or Nintendo account and accept with a friend code, the admin can give them the right to invite other people and, as far as I know, the admin is the one who buys the membership for everyone, so the other members should transfer you the money, take this with a big spoon of salt but that is the only information I have found, so, if you trust someone, get them in, if you don't trust and they don't pay, the admin can remove them cause they're not doing their part
Nintendo literally doesn’t give you shit they charge you up the behind for an old game and then act like it’s a great deal jump of your high horse this guy oh you get golden eye!!! Ok… it’s an old shooter I played it a billion times growing up it’s nothing exciting
I'll tell you why it's not worth it, because Nintendo sold rare, which had conquers bad for a day, plus donkey Kong 64, also there's no smash brothers with the expansion, and there's no pokémon game boy color games, Nintendo really has dropped the ball
I think it is, but it's not something I'd subscribe to every year since I already have enough games for the Switch, GBC/GBA, and DS/3DS. If they add all the Zelda games, I might consider subscribing again.
Bro what are you talking about? They already have all the good Zelda games from those consoles on the service. Anyways, what do you mean with "all", like the Zelda CD-i ones?
Unfortunately people use the family plan to scam other people. Probably getting the individual plan, since Im the only person who I know that owns a switch.
Oh wait how do family plans scam other people ? Also yeah it sucks. My friend has a family plan on an expansion pack, but all her friends are already filling in the slots and I asked pretty late.
@IsraelLlerena "hey let's do the family plan I've already got 6 other people chipping in" "OK here's my $10 let's do it" "......." "Hello?... are you there?.... I've been scammed for $10..."
as a person that kinda wanted to play like bassmasters isn't like 40% of that not really nintendo........ are they juking the stick or is that not the only game you thought of.. o and for the nintendo 64 games i guess a new metroid or something ... maybe an actuall n 64 for owning a couple millionares.... or something i mean its just money but if i had to pay 70 bucks and couldn't just rent what i wanted i might of been mad enough to talk about the stock of nintendo as a company that had to make games last forever then .. i dunno go up squaresoft/s butt to do it... im pretty shure japanese don't like this....
if you are an RPG fan then the answer is a clear "NO" They have very few RPGS and NOT EVEN THE BEST ONES. No AAA hitters and series that most people have forgotten by now. If you are an RPG fan just buy them from the E-Shop and forget Nintendo JOKE online exists. I have from the start it launched. It was crap then crap now and always will be CRAP and I dont need to be a mystical seer to know Nintendo would FK THIS UP
every single game they have you can play on your cellphone with an emulator and in your PC. It should be a nintedo switch library or actual games then I would so subscribe but its hard when every game is worth $60, its wayyy to expensive. Cant even rent for $5 any more
@@Mr.scooter-le8yo Emulators are so easy to run now I was able to show my 78 year old mother how to set one up for my sister's kid when he visits her. You don't need to be teach savvy just have functioning head meat.
@@Mr.scooter-le8yoIf they know how to use a switch and can't do that? That's really odd. I mean no disrespect at all but it's no harder using the eshop than it is downloading an emulator and roms these days truly. If they can't even setup a Facebook account that sounds like a different issue rather than not being tech savvy. Happy Thanksgiving
@@TheGamerGuy1981 the eShop is a one time purchase and after that it's just a few button presses away from playing, but with non-official emulators they tend to have a habit of something going wrong. And not only old people struggle to understand technology even younger people struggle with that too. But maybe in America it's different because people use computers more often or something like that, at least where I live we are more traditional in how we do things.
2:20 You don't need game pass to play online games, that was xbox live gold and they just did away with it. As someone who paid for xbl gold for years, paid online is always too expensive. Especially if it just doesn't work half the time like Nintendo's.
