Is The Nissan GTR 50th Anniversary Edition Still Legendary? 

It definitely looks cool. Although I'm not a Japanese car guy, I'd still be stoked to see one on the road, which I did a few months ago.

Metro Music I agree. I used to look at its sport luxury brand infiniti as well, but it has been left behind by Acura and Lexus. I have been waiting so long for the much promised infiniti version of the gtr. Acura now has the nsx and Lexus will soon have the LCF. I wouldn’t be surprised if infiniti will scrap plans of ever producing one.

I’d say it’s both. I’ve never been taken by the styling (but really liked the R32 - R34s), but it somehow looks better now than 10yrs ago... I think the Bayside Blue is a winner and maybe helps here. There’s been a few GTRs turn up at autocrosses over the last 10 years, and I still remember how amazing it was on my first ride-along; I’ve driven, and rode with, very fast cars and drivers, and I was amazed at how fast it was. “How can such a big car defy physics so thoroughly” was my thinking. It’s still a hell of a lot of car, although if I had the money, I likely spend it on a Cayman GTS and put the savings to the tire budget - just more of that tossable sports car agility, less GT car. The 370Z on the other hand seems a bargain. I don’t care about the ancient tech, and it’s a lot of sports car for 30 grand. Get the base model, get a Torsen or Quaiffe for it, and enjoy the hell out of it.

iluvcakes19 you’re right. No disrespect to the r35 it’s just been around long enough. I’m ready for the next gen and I’m sure all the r35 owners are ready for them to start going up in value once they stop making them

ConLee the question is, is Nissan ready to build r36? Or are they going to take like a decade like they did with r35. They as a company are having a hard time keeping up with Honda and Toyota in sales and profit. So I really hope they are able to innovate and build the r36. I was a teenager when this car first came out. So needless to say, I have been a fanboy for all these years. It’s so sad to see all its rivals are so much faster than the Godzilla now.

I loved it when it first came out (as it beat supercars for a cheap price) but they didn't change much and its performance stayed similar, whilst the competition from not only supercars but sports too caught up and beat it

@@danieloceans9652 Tesla Model S P70D/80D/90D/100D, Tesla Model 3 Performance Editition, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Porsche 911 GT3 (not the RS), McLaren 570s, Audi R8, Corvette C8, and an Acura NSX are all quicker in a straight line, and excluding the two Teslas, all of them are faster on the track.

This is because Europe has much much much heavier car restrictions than America with some places taxing by cylinder and not having accessible freeways.
