How long were you a nonmember?

ive been a nonmember since 2017 and i still am in 2023. i truly think being a nonmember now is so much better, because we have access to a bunch of items now and you can still look great with nonmember items. i love decorating my den and i still feel like i have a bunch of freedom to decorate it freely. though, a bunch of my nonmember items are out of stores and are rare. so basically you need to trade a lot to have a good amount of items to choose from.

I haven't played in years I'm glad they're including non members in more of the fun

i still have all my promos and stuff i accumulated but i don't see the point in playing anymore when so many things are still locked. the biggest thing for me was friends. i used to play for adventures with buddies before i quit but all my buddies left so that's gone too. it's worse than it was a few years ago.

I have a non member account I use and honestly it’s been such a breath of fresh air. Sense in store items for nms r minimal I’ve been playing adventures and doing the journey book to get stuff it feels like I get to play the game with more purpose like did when I was younger. If your feeling pent up in animaljam make a non member account and enjoy just playing the game.

Hey, I've been playing Animal Jam Classic on and off since 2012. I have to say, the nonmember experience definitely has gotten better over time. I remember when the adventures were locked, pets and clothing for them were nonexistent, only the basic den was around, I think only 4 or 5 animals to play as existed, only the small portals existed, and more. I remember when the diamond store didn't exist and the club was still around. There was a summer where I played Animal Jam almost constantly, maybe 2015, 2016, or 2017? It was when the new adventures started coming out and were still being locked behind memberships. It was also the time when I finally got access to membership after begging for it for so long lol. The first thing I did with my membership was write a whole essay on my wall about why nonmembers should be recognized more and why it really sucked being a nonmember. I don't know what the social state of Animal Jam is now as I haven't logged on in a while, but I remember if you were a nonmember you were ignored by 70% of the people playing. If you weren't that stupid Arctic Wolf you were irrelevant. I poured my heart into that essay on my wall and after I did that, I would sit in the town for HOURS as I just spammed "Read my wall!" It was really satisfying to see whole servers of people read it, and I got lots of messages about it overtime. Someone made a video with me in it once, where I said we should make nonmember month a thing, to give more appreciation to the part of the player base that had long been ignored and put to the side. I am so glad improvements have been made over the years to what nonmembers can do in the game. So much progress has been achieved and as a longtime player it is really satisfying to see things like adventures become available for everyone.

how are you playing aj classic? its completely nonfunctional for me. an emulator?
