Every country has bad story but depends how your behaviour is. Filipino people are very kind hearted and helpful. If you ask for help they don’t turn around and let you down. They always help no matter your situation
Yup, Philippines is a safe country to roam around, I am a working woman, there were several times that I came home late at night, walking in the streets alone creates NO FEAR for me. The people I used to meet in the road always greet me, "MAGANDANG GABI' ( GOOD EVENING).
I visited the Philippines my first time for 3 weeks met my wife. I've walked those streets all day and I walked them at night time. Never did I encounter any person who sought to do me harm or speak evil towards me. Everyone treated me the way I wish most Americans would treat one another
I rode the Philippines loop. It is really safe even at night. One time I had q problem with my bike in the middle of the very dark night in mountainous part at North. Someone approach me and help me to fix my bike, since we can't find a sparepart as all store are closed in the city, he allowed me to stay and sleep in their nipa house nearby and in the morning, he accompany me to buy spareparts in city.
Locals are generally kind and hospitable. Even the poor people are more generous. It is their last morsel of rice or meat but still, they will offer it to a complete stranger. Good Samaritans easily outnumber the Jericho clergy.
I go Philippines every year since 2013 I been to cebu bohol manila and Zamboanga and I have never encountered not being safe.i feel alot safer in Philippines then here in usa...
Just try to avoid terrorist infested areas in Mindanao. They target foreigners for ransoms and some unfortunate foreigners have been killed there. Not trying to scare you or anything but it's the reality that Mindanao in general isn't very safe for foreigners. Also, just wanna ask you this, Is New Hampshire and Maine safe places in the US? I would love to experience four seasons and the autumn scenery of New England so I'm thinking about moving there in the future for good.
That was before but Not anymore. Please see vlogs of BecomingFilipino - a Canadian national who vlogs in the Mindanao regions particularly Basilan and Kumander Daot as well, a British vlogger who extensively explores areas of Mindanao including Basilan...Thank you and God bless you!
@@somkiata1262 it is still very safe in the Philippines and as in any country there are unsafe places you just need to know where and stay away...I was recently as April and may in manila and cebu and felt very safe and happy 😊
The guy talking about the danger is just like any other country hit it right on the head. If you go to the shadiest part of Manila at 2am you are just asking for trouble. Just like if I go to downtown Detroit I am probably getting mugged...there's stuff like that anywhere in the world. Just depends where you go.
very true...there are dangeous areas in manila, especially at night..but at least, parents don't have to be terrified of gun shootings when their kids go to school..

Henry has a lot of experience always be prepared for the unexpected and fight for your life if you have to and stay home at night just like anywhere else if possible great interviews Alex 🆒👍
I'm a Filipino and I'm absolutely surprised with those foreigner's perspective/experience about the safety in the Philippines. Never knew that it's much safer now than before, maybe that really is the Duterte effect.
We are hospitable and nice people but we know if you are taking advantage it. Please be respectful to the locals, we will respect you 3 times. Enjoy the Ph 🇵🇭
Hi Alex, I live in Scarborough and watching these guys telling their experiences in the Philippines quite good. Hope you guys have more to say about my country that everyone can learn who wants to visit the so called “ Pearl of the Orient Seas”.
Everything you said and advised about what not to do when in the Philippines applies to any country you go to. Srsly, everywhere, even one’s own country.
I have always felt safe, but I'm not a drinker so I'm not out and about after dark. My wife and I are province people and we enjoy the peace and quiet. I have to travel to Manila now and then and some places make me uncomfortable but I would feel the same way in any large American city. The people here are fantastic. One of many reasons I love S.E. Asia and the Philippines most of all.
Theres no safe country in the world but i can assured you that living in the philippine is one of ur good experiences like meeting people whose hospital and we can communicate good too through english language and esp.we have good tourism as well so i want to say that Philippine is one of a kind country ❤🇵🇭
Yay, Super! He's a Christian, he doesn't do bars! You and your family are blessed!!! Coming home from the U.S. in a few months to visit relatives and friends. Miss my home country, the people, food, scenery and the culture.👌🌺❤🇵🇭

I am Filipina and I never jelouse with my husband .I guess I lived in western country for 42 years..God bless this foreigners live our country. My husband he goes to store alone and he get along with filipinos ..Also we drive in town everywhere..God bless
Another great video Alex, I'm in Thailand now for just three more weeks but all your video on the Philippines are making me think I'll be coming later this year for a change, did I hear on one of your videos that visas are easier for long term than they are in Thialand I like to stay a minimum 6 months, cheers
That's good to hear! I do recommend visiting here. Yes visas are FAR easier to obtain here. You can essentially stay up to 3 years as a tourist without having to leave the country and come back.
Wanna try first Davao city where the ex president Duterte lives . I can recommend this to you . Has lots of nice people and white sandy beaches and I’m sure you gonna love this place
i like the camera work where after like 2 or 3 interviews in a video in between you put the camera back on yourself and talk and have your monologue then you go back to the interview shots 👌
Thank you for this video! I think every country has its safe and dangerous spots but it’s about being aware and taking the necessary precautions. Since the pandemic I know crime rates have skyrocketed here in Hawaii especially with property crime! Shops and even non profit organizations are always on the news here about a robbery break in and face huge expenses to repair damages from the break in.
God bless us start and end your day with our ALMIGHTY GOD. THANK you so much and regards to all of you there in your place. Thanks From Lani D. Nepomuceno, Philippines
I have been all around the world for 40 years and I have never felt safer in any country other than the Philippines. At least I also felt safe in Norway, Sweden and Belgium. But in the US, a big no!!
Philippines not safe many area terrorist only terrorist America has is right wing waco with AR 15 that weapon is illegal in Philippines and all country you mentioned that why mass murder is rare in them country's
Duterte did a great job making the country feel a lot safer, for both locals and foreigners a like. But there are still places you have to avoid at night. Mainly deep in the Metro Manila area. But like you said. If you look for trouble. The trouble will find you.
Really? By murdering people who consume a plant that grows naturally here? Foreigners will go to Thailand because they stopped that kind of foolishness
it is the same all over the world, there are places that are safe and unsafe I am a Filipino American been married for over 50 years meet my husband in Germany where I work as a nurse and he was in the US airforce assigned in Germany life is what you make the best of it wherever you are I do miss the Philippines now and then especially the helper a lot of advantages and disadvantages
Wow..Bro..very nice interviews one one to the foreigners staying here,,but you know bro the phil,is very the different to other countries, other countries very strictly, your not free, especialy in night..not allowed to different places like in america, very limited and also many countries can do that..but here in phil, its ok always free you can do what you do..and also pilipinos are very friendly, kindness generosity in very helpful..also the foods so many..eat all you can..
Im from Davao, and I can truly say, that my place, my dear province is absolutely peaceful place to live in. People here are amazingly respectful and very accommodating to all. Fruits & vegetables in Davao are abundant. Blue and clean beaches, falls ,mountains name it and we have it here. Just believe me.
@@Livingabroadalex It's the same rule anywhere you go. Never show your money - whether you're buying groceries, or whatnot - at night. Better avail of delivery service if it's really urgent.
@@Livingabroadalex The main cities of Bohol should be well along on their recovery, Leyte on the other hand is far behind. They get their power from Bohol and are going to be the last to recover.
Can you make video to ask pinoys and pinays about that, the mothers in phl teach their daughters to not love someone 100%, but to keep something for self.
im a local in cebu but i live in the out skirts of cebu not the heart of cebu even so whenever i go outside i dont feel as safe as i should be even though im a local but i havent gotten into an accident on bein robbed or something so thats a plus
I am a Filipino based on my observation in general the Philippines is the safest in the world and the most generous of all in times of disaster as long as you are vigilant you will be safe because 10% of Filipinos are untrustworthy because of illegal drugs by the strangers who the most affected are the few poor areas in the country that also exist around the world
Hello Alex, Im one of your followers ever since Ive discovered your channel and always not skippings ads. Always stay safe and healthy. By the way Alex, Is your girlfriend a Filipina.
I have been to the Philippines 13 times. Usually for 2-4 weeks at a time. Most of my times has been in Luzon. Dagupan. My last three trips were in Manila. Tondo and Makati. I even lived and walked in Tondo for a few weeks. I would not do it at night. My last trip was to Pagadian City in Mindanao. I have another trip scheduled in July. A few days in Manila, and then off to Pagadian again. The more time i spend in the Philippines, the safer i feel. I speak Tagalog, and i am learning Bisaya. The taxi drivers in Manila, especially to and from the airport, really take advantage of you. Make sure to get the meter rate or negotiate a price ahead of time. When arriving in Manila. Walk a few blocks away from the airport if you want a cheaper fare.
Im proud Filipino, thanks you love Philippines🇵🇭 & enjoy vacation journey here😊🇵🇭👍always be careful, but don't not rude here🇵🇭, pero wala dito Karen syndrome or road rage.🤪😅✌️
To me, it all depends on where you live in Manila City they are some bad or good experiences but if you use your inner sense you can predict a person doing bad to you... remember always be aware and alert if something does bad to you don't be ignorant and an idiot of being dam because it can hurt your feelings can treat you badly in some way that lives in bad experiences...
now that im here in Canada... I now understand why they say its hard to drive in the Philippines. but way back then i dont feel hard to drive because I understand the setting...
I live in Oakland California, thre is an average of two ho,icides by shooting here, it has become so normal that is not news anymore when somebody get shot or assaulted in the street, is amazing how americns try to normalize or minimize how awful US has become, countries like philipines seem like a dream land compared to the hell we are experiencing here, blessings
6 people are dead and more are hospitalized in mass shooting today,4th of July here in the suburb of Chicago, in Highland park Illinois to be exact. A very sad day.
TRY TO ASK KULAS AND FINN SNOW, THEY VE BEEN IN PHILIPPINES FOR MANY YEARS ALREADY....THEY WOULD TELL YOU IF PHILIPPINES SAFE OR NOT BECAUSE THEY TRAVELLED ALMOST ALL PARTS OF THE COUNTRY ALREADY...
Don't give up on Kulas he can find time for sure. I know it happen some day. But Finn is fine too you can ask him and I also want you to interview making it happen vlog because they do have lots of condos in Manila already they been here for like 4 years already
Just like in ANY country, there are good guys( 90% ) and bad guys (10%) ! Its just your bad luck if you get robbed. I worked for 20 years here and NEVER got robbed! you must be street wise and not be FLASHY in your dress and cars !
It's safe her in the Philippines.. yet there's specific places thats not safe for foreigners especially at night.. specific please be careful guy.. don't go home late at night time is dangerous especially in the provinces.
the only dangers you have to watch out for in the Philippines are the aswangs you might encounter at night and the kulam you might get inflicted with for offending someone you don't know, that is because you can't do anything about them. Lol just kidding, glad those foreigners are enjoying their stay in the country. 😊😊😊
It really depends on places and how you're carrying yourself. As long as you don't flash jewelry, expensive bag, watch or anything of high value, be respectful and avoid walking late night on secluded areas, you'll be safe from attracting unwanted experiences. Filipinos are generally hospitable to foreigners, friendly and genuinely helpful people.
Hi, Alex. Thank you for promoting PH in your channel by asking foreigners' insights about the country, and all that. You're doing a good job man. Just like any other foreign vloggers in the country you have our support. Just remain truthful, entertaining or interesting, your channel will continue to gain traction. Of course, just don't feel pressured. If you don't like feel like vlogging and want to have privacy, yea just enjoy your time and have a peaceful time exploring without the camera, otherwise, go for whatever you like doing at any given time as long as it's legal. hehe. Cheers Alex. Anyway you have one of the channels that I usually look forward to watching. Take care, enjoy!
Wow!! I appreciate your words. I feel so motivated when I hear things like this. I do these videos because I enjoy them. Gives me a sense of purpose and I always try to stay true and genuine. I am always amazed to see and hear how little negative experiences people have in the Philippines. I got a lot more interesting videos on the way!!
@@Livingabroadalex No worries Alex, you're very welcome. Yes, PH is not perfect just like any other country, and I'm sure there are others out there who may have some handful negative experiences here, perhaps complaints or things they don't like here, even me as a local I have them too, esp when it comes to the politicians or people running the country or mismanaging it wasting PH potential ( which I highly suggest not involve yourself in politics here bec others or some locals are not that open minded when it comes to foreigners involving themselves in the internal affairs of the country like politics so yea) and the cleanliness or some people throwing their garbage anywhere which I don't like and I hope it'll change but I'm so glad you're focusing on the positive aspects or balancing things out and just keeping the good vibes so thank you so much. God bless and more power to you and your channel. Enjoy^^
You're awesome! Thank you and I completely agree with everything you said. I'll continue as I have been and will slowly get more immersed into local life around me 😊
I am a Filipina living in the Phil since birth and had the privilege to have visited quite a number of countries worldwide and I would say that I feel safer here in the Phil. than in the U.S.
Born in the Philippines and raise in the US. But with all the things that are going on in the US with the racial issues and other things. If I got a choice, I will definitely move back home. To be honest, the filipinos always welcome foreigners no matter of skin color.
