The Roborock S6 Pure is no longer the top Roborock robot vacuum and mop around, but after extensive use and testing we found that is still relevant in 2022. Even compared with the new S7, which we also reviewed, the S6 Pure is still a very competent cleaner and ideal for people on a budget.

I am still using it in 2024. The build quality is great. And I really like the navigation AI. It's really good at navigating around objects instead of bumping into them. Our cat sometimes sleeps into the door opening, and the robot doesn't bump into the cat, it just tries to go around him. And if it can't get thru it just stops and says it can't reach the location. It's quite funny.

How does this shape up compared to the ecovac N8 pro? I’m tossing up between both but don’t know which one to go with :(

Hi Angela, great question! It honestly depends on your priorities. The Roborock probably has a slightly better pick up performance but the N8 Pro has obstacle avoidance technology (True Detect 3D) which tends to mean it may avoid objects slightly better :) They're both great products tbh.

Hey mate, how does this compare to the Xiaomi Mop 2 Ultra? They have similar pricing but latter looks to have better specs?

The Mop 2 Ultra is compatible with the auto-empty station and has double suction of the S6 Pure. Roborock is still a very strong brand in terms of hardware and software though :) Hope that helps!

Would be a great review but the music in the background makes it hard to follow. Not sure why the music is necessary while you are talking.

Mostly carpet. Decent at everything but a few better options now :)

They've tried to replace it with the Q series in most places... not sure if there's much stock left out there in other countries but I don't think you can buy them here anymore.

Depends on the price! I haven’t looked at the L70 since the X8 came out, but it may have had some updates. Previously you couldn’t send it to specific rooms - only the entire house, which you can do on the S6

Can’t automatically detect carpet and not try and mop it? Garbage then… why pay extra for the mop if you have to manually tell it not to every time? Thanks for this video, not going with this model because of that

@@RobomateTV sorry but how does it recognize a carpet when it comes to the carpet boost option and then cannot recognize it when it's about mopping, don't get it...

@@0035952 BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT SOFTWARE DISABLE MOP IN THIS MODEL, IT DOES NOT LIFT OR ANYTHING so recognition wont do ANYTHING. iF UR PLANNING TO MOP USE MAP WITH CARPET EXCLUDED AND MOP UNIT ATTACHED. If you dont mop just leave mopping module off the device. you need to clean it after every use anyway.
