Is the RR-Racing Tune worth buying?? (The Honest Truth) 

I just tried the tune out today ...very happy...car runs smoother and faster...The engine revs more like a race car..It really put a smile on my face.

If anyone is wondering, I tuned my RC350 Fsport (2015). I'm hitting 353HP. Also, in manual mode, stock it did take some time to downshift from 7th to like 3rd or 4th. Now, it downshifts almost instantly. Paid $489 for the tune and it's incredible. (Private party tuner). I don't suggest a chip. You're goanna be paying upwards of 280-800 for a chip tune. Realistically, maybe hit 20-30 HP. I had one and yeah it helped a little bit, but not worth the money since I can spend an extra $150-200 for a Stage 1 and increase my HP to almost 50+.

Thank you for sharing this video. Many of want to order RR racing tune, but had doubts. But this video is your honest opinion. As a car enthusiasts many of us appreciate that. Not pushing to go get the product. Currently own a 2014 IS350 RWD.

Yep. This tune is no joke. There are gains from having at least a cat back exhaust, fsport Intake, lowered springs and lighter wheels. I just got mone today and tuned it right away. Easy peasy👍😁

Really thinking about getting the RR Racing Tune for my 2015 RC 350 F Sport. I installed their cold air intake and engine light is on. ODB test shows lean fuel. RR representative stated Tune is recommended after cold air intake install. Appreciate the video.

I'm glad you keep it all the way 100 about this. I have a gs 350 f sport. I want to talk to RR racing to see what they can do to my baby. She's fast for a car her size and the launch is pretty good. I'm just looking for a lil more power without endangering my engine.

Thanks for the follow up vid! I have a '16 350 and seriously thought about getting the tune, especially after Lexus revealed no new engine for 2021. This video pushed me to the 'no' side, because it seemed like the car held on to the RPMs in regular driving. I have rev matching, so when I'm busting ass, he'll stay in the power band. For my normal commute, I want Lexus Serenity. :-) Thanks again for the vids, you were a GREAT help! Keep making them.

If yall want to make a is250 some what fast here are some mods I recommend to do if you want lol. Fsport intake and filter or k and n intake , rr tune , ppe headers , axleback exhaust,mid pipe , and lsd swap with a 2014-2016 brz (these mods beat a 350z and neck to neck to a is350) or a supercharger by rr racing stage 1 you can run up to 360 whp and last stage for the supercharger is 500+whp.

I just removed the IS250 badge and left the FSPORT badge, installed the sprint booster v3 and I forgot it was ever a IS250 lol

I just bought the Q 300 from invidia axle back and plan to buy the mid pipe along with the ECU tune from RR racing.

Love the sound. Sounds better than my stock 350is fsport.

Thanks for the update , Just to put it out there, I live 45 mins away from RR and last Monday drove up and had my 250 tuned . Love it 💯 but today I was driving and a check engine light popped on also I was driving with trac off and after CEL cannot turn trac back on. I used my buddies ecu scanner and the code is PO172 system too rich bamk1 . I let the car sit for a bit but still the light is on with trac off . The car seems to be driving just like it was after tune and no issues idling or anything. I sent RR an email and will call them when they open.

I used to have a 2012 caddy cts 3.0 witha muffler delete and it sounded pretty close to that. It would be a good match up for a fact. It was pretty quick for a caddy 270hp bone stock other than the muffler delete

Hey just a heads hp, i personnaly took my 2008 is250 to rr racing in exton pa, they tuned my car for me, i oayed them to, the tune is good fr, but dont take your car to them, get the tuner u do yourself, i was going to do a lot with my lexys with them, equal length headers, strut towers, control arm bushings, one employeee was very helpful, actually showed me n my freind around their sho, showed us the 911 gt3rs they supercharged, and gave us t shirts, i told them i may need rims he said come back whenever, i tried to call about the rims, and basically told me bc theu only do high end stuff, this guy as well claimed to be the owner, said he didnt want to deal with it, so i asked if i can talk to someone else, he said no, i asked if they could take my tune iff he said no and hung up on me, so im stuck with a car i cant sell basically, bc i was trying to replace my cracked rims and i wasnt going to spend enough. If u have problems their customer service is terrible, my lexus died randomly, and i thoght before i do anything ill call rr just in case its something theyre familiar with, wound up being the batter but the owner agin on the phone was getting mad with me, i jad to tell him like look im not accusing u of anything, im just asking u first, didnt actually think the tune was a problem, just in alcase they heard of ppl having the same problem, wich they said no, and it was just a bad battery, but the guy was rly getting agitated over the phone talking iver me and everything Dont deal with these guys unless ur buying a supercharger kit, or ur just going to tune ur car yourself, they will leave u in bad position if they can.

How bad is the tune for your car in the long run? I’m not talking like how bad is it always driving at 7.2k rpm all the time, I know that the car doesn’t like that and it wouldn’t last long. I’m talking more in general, daily driving with the occasional 0-60: how does the tune effect the car’s reliability and durability. I bought Lexus because I want something that’s fun and will last. I’m really loving the ida of this RR Racing tune, but I need to know how bad it will be on my engine first. Thanks!

I’m trying to get this tune on my lexus

I have 16 IS300 and I have been contemplating on getting the tune. I know the IS300 gets the most HP with the tune but the thing is, I don’t really drive in manual too much. Do you think it’s still worth getting the tune?

I mostly drive in sport mode auto, with traction ON, in that scenario do you feel any difference than stock?

Bro get a GS350. I got one, they are a bargain. IS prices are inflated and as you know they are slow outside of the even more price inflated IS350. Don't torture yourself with a slow car, get everything you want with a GS350

How’s the tune holding up

The timing on the RedLine gonna blow up your engine. Hence the tune also turns off safety for your ECU
