In my top ten, I would say yeah, really good with the military vibe and explosions, and the movie being awesome-probably the best anime movie I've seen in awhile.
I watched it while finishing college, I was surprised the anime delved into economics, Chicago Business School of thought, military theory, military tactics and logistics, history, sociology, psychology, and religion.
Saga Of Tanya The Evil is fucking goated anime. 10/10 it was even better than MT or Re:zero imo. Also the movie was so god damn good they literally named one of the characters Mary Sue what is just so funny xD. Also it was just Tanya hating on Commies what was also fucking hilarious. "They're Commies. Blow the shit out of them" "Everybody knows the Commies have shit AA defense" "Damn commies , do they not give a shit about their human resources ?" -Tanya von Degurechaff
It is technically finished but Studio Nut is having issues with Comcast. Also Comcast keeps suing Carlos Zen to the rights of Youjo Senki. The irony is that Studio Nut tried to make a partnership with Netflix but Comcast keeps breaking into the conversation.
What I like about it is Tanya. Her sociopathic traits, often lead to things not working out how she planned, because she does not get other people, no empathy. And unlike many isekai, the past life stays relevant. I would say the show has one weakness, and that is that the supporting cast has less personality than in other shows. For example, we have her fellow female mage, but we know nothing about what her goals in life are, what her past is, her home life, why she enlisted, if she even did. And that's par for the course. Tanya is also one of the titular 4 isekais in Isekai Quartet, alongside Overlord, Re-zero, and Konosuba, so if you want a bit more Tanya, albeit in a different setting and genre, there is more to be had.
Remember a comment in Crunchyroll comments about the film calling it anti Communist Propaganda. I was like "Good" need more anime that crap on altruist ideologies that justify horrible things for the greater good. Tanya at least tells it how it is and doesn't hide behind altruism like all the other evil people including Being X are. It's literally an anime about an Individualist trying to survive in a Collectivist world and getting that Individualist perspective and Tanya's criticism throughout the show is very welcome.
