A brief discussion surrounding the newly released Seiko Prospex LX. The analysis will look into it's design elements and movement in retrospect to the well established Rolex Submariner.
I worked as a professional diver from 1982 to the late 90's and my work watch was a Seiko - ultra reliable and unbreakable and still as good now. I have been watching your videos with the intention of investing in a 'special' watch and Tudor has been a favourite so far - maybe a Seiko Prospex would be more apt. Thanks you I will keep watching for more inspiration.
I've had a Quartz diver on my wrist for the last 17+ years, and I've used it in the ocean, swimming, freediving and snorkeling. I just recieved my new King Turtle, and I'll never leave Seiko!!
Though I agree with all of your technical comparisons matching up timepiece to timepiece; Rolex isn't really in the business of selling timepieces anymore. They sell something that the majority of their clients hold higher than any specification.... Status.
Common misconception: “Zaratsu” does not translate to “katana polish”, “mirror blade”, or anything like that. It’s a Japanese transliteration of “Sallaz”, the Swiss-German tin-plate polishing machine that Grand Seiko began using in the 1950s, and has no technical or historical relation to the polishing techniques of Japanese swords. Zaratsu/Sallaz polishing is unique in its use of the flat surface of the plate, which can produce a smoother finish and sharper lines than the round edge of a traditional polishing wheel. While this method is difficult and unforgiving, it is not exclusive to Seiko- a handful of other manufacturers use the same process, including Japanese brethren Citizen (on their Chronomaster) and Minase.
Detailed, thorough and highly infirmative review! Well done!!! Seiko really deserves much more respect than they receive. They should put you on the head of their PR department!
@@BurntPlaydoh Exactly, the SKX is objectively a bit of a POS. Poor build quality, poor specs and higher price than the competition. I'm actually struggling to think of the price point where Seiko is a good value these days.
@@DM-rc4yu I'm more interested in Citizen's diver. The Promaster 200m quartz solar is a beast. I prefer quartz because I value precision and the solar capabilities are so useful. With Seiko, I really like the Save the Ocean version of the Turtle and the Samurai... but they're costly and far less precise.
@@BurntPlaydoh they knew that the skx is nearing the end of its production so there was no need to update it. Even as a huge seiko fan i think the recent price hikes are out of control for the skx.
I love the video, IDGuy. I think the LX carves out a proper niche for itself, though I would hold off on getting an LX until Seiko comes out with a 40-42mm size diver, with an updated clasp. I don’t get hung up on brand names, so I think comparing a Seiko to a Rolex isn’t necessarily a problem. Personally, however, I would still prefer the Submariner, since I find it to have a more compact and conservative form factor than the Seamaster and the LX, and the Sub is a better all rounder as a one watch. Coincidentally, Ken Okayama designed the Enzo Ferrari, so your car analogy was also fitting.
@Ray Doyle only few times throughout the journey. And I don't have to take special care when I'm wearing it. Scratches all around am I'm still fine with it.
1bluensx not always true. For me, the Rolex design language is so refined and the proportions of the watches are amazing. It’s like comparing Nike running shoes to Brooks. Yea the Brooks are the better running shoe, but they’re ugly. The seiko is nowhere near as elegant.
@@laithisr Despite the beauty of Submariners, some of their designs are actually bland though. They do look very good and refined. However, as a series of dive watch, its almost like its just the same watch with different over and over again in this decade. Seiko always experiments new designs. Its not like looking at the same thing over and over again. Prospex always have new designs every 5 years(?). But yes, nothing cant really replace Rolex. Because Rolex.
@@tippykaffu4047 Well, that's exactly what the Submariner is; it's been around for decades, improving incrementally until it is as it is. This is why Rolex doesn't "re-issue" an older version; technically, it's the same watch that has simply evolved. The blandness is familiarity. Everyone has imitated it or made a homage for quite some time. To me, modern Rolexes (except for the Explorer) have become soul-less. They just don't do it for me like they used to 40 years ago.
you kno what I love about your reviews mate? It's not just a list of specs and stating the obvious.. it's qualitative, opinionated, thoughtful perspective. I would rather have deep commentary and stock photos than pro macro shots and boring commentary I could read on a spec sheet.. which is pretty common out there!
True that! and that's why the whole racecar comparison goes wrong for me! I don't get it...... there's no substitute for cubic inches, there's no better F1 engine than a roaring V10, and a real watch has a mechanical movement with a unique heartbeat. And it has its shortcomings, so what! It gives me that special feeling, its alive, it lives for me, for my kid and his kids....... I don't think this semi electric piece of marvel from seiko is gone pull that off aswell.......
While the Submariner remains the starting point for all diver watches,Seiko produces some of the best diver pieces which cater for almost all budgets. In this case Seiko gives Rolex a very serious challenge. If the Seiko was 40/41mm it would sweep off the Sub easily in my modest opinion. Thanks for the Video.
Stop asking small kiddy watches! Watches, especially, divers are meant to be seen and legible. Buy a Micky Mouse watch and stop bothering serious horologery passionates...
I have a 45 year old Seiko Automatic Day Date, 6139-7039. While I haven't worn it much, the watch has only needed crystals as they are glass and has never been opened. After sitting for months, it starts running before I even close the clasp. I don't think you can beat a Seiko!
That Seiko LX might be the ultimate tool watch. I'm really interested in that Spring Drive movement. I'd say the only thing that really surprises me about it is the clasp for the bracelet. Even the MM200 has a milled clasp. Seiko is prone to some odd decisions, but I love them and this watch all the same. If I could have one watch at any price point, I'd be tempted by this one, or perhaps one of the Grand Seiko divers.
Thanks for this informative video on the three divers. Yes, I do like the LX, but its size is simply too overpowering for my 6.25” wrist. I have been wearing the SKX, Turtle and Samurai and other mid-size sports watches with no issues. The maximum L2L distance that would work for me is 49mm.
I have a very small wrist too but I have got over the whole thing of I can’t wear a watch beyond size X. It’s a bit like people who say if you are over Y years old you can’t wear this or that or the other. I have even become proficient at trimming rubber straps to avoid having an enormous take flapping in the breeze.
Really appreciate the commentary. Well thought out and makes sense. Know exactly what you mean about the titanium and have wondered why Rolex has not gone down this route. It is also lighter than stainless, but I do also know Rolex uses 90xx grade not 316, but titanium is still the lighter. There are also other exotic alloys that no one has tried yet. The mechanism of the Seiko is a winner and especially the reserve function, which I feel is a must on a modern watch. The only thing I'm of contrary position is the aesthetics. Think the large lumes of the Seiko are slightly garish. Overstated and large like its trying too hard to be stylish. And perhaps is perceived to be fashionable purely because its different like most modern pieces, but how the design will be perceived with time is where the test with aesthetics will be. Whereas the Submariner is understated and tasteful, purely being the product of the subtle design finesse of form follows function that seems to follow through. Agree with you on the crown on the Seiko though. Would like to see other novel features come as standard on watches. The Seiko style movement I think is the way to go. Simple, long lasting, reserve function, and the ability, in future, because of being an electrically operated system to add other functions on later.
This Seiko is a beautiful tool watch. As a dive watch and at it's price I totally agree that it is superior or at the least equal to the Submariner. But let's be totally honest, most people buy the Rolex for the "wow" factor. To impress people and show off their money. Either way, Seiko has hit it out of the park with this one. Great review.
Rolex and Omega and other Swiss own brand recognition. Others will definitely notice. You won’t get any attention. “It’s just a Seiko”. Finally got my SLA021
Here's the real thing. Rolex used to be for the wealthy. Now it's for the Land rover driver drug dealer I know plenty of them!! And I know you see them aswell. Some approval to have rolex are becoming like burberry in the 90s chav symbols.
seiko is a beast and a truly powerful submarine the face is big for a reason so you can see it better underwater!! the rolex submariner is more of a fashion nowdays
great show today ! I wear my Deepsea Sea Dweller daily (2015) but am looking for a watch to wear on over sea backpacker style holiday, and am thinking this will be the one, a quick plus and minus for me, is the Rolex gliding lock for the bracelet is a big plus for sizing in the heat, Seiko is power reserve gauge is the big plus
I love your videos, thanks so much. As I get older and after wearing larger watches for years, like everything now, comfort is a big thing, as well as style, so this watch is a little to big, for my wrist, the style is great though, however I would prefer a Tudor 58 over this watch. It’s a little smaller, and has a fantastic quality as well, and an amazing classic look.
WOW! just WOW! a Brillent presentation!! I'm an F1 fan from the 50s and you're right on point!! I feel if it wasn't for the Bond connection the Rolex wouldn't be where it is...only reason I have a GMT is Honor Blackman in Goldfinger! The tech and the emotions is what stirs me in both the watches and the racecars..Great Job!
Ilestun and Robert Riva, I don’t know why you’re both definite about Omega being Bonds only timepiece. I saw myself as a teenager when Dr. No was shown on BBC 1 for the first time in the mid 70s that James Bond wore a Rolex Submariner in Dr. No - 1962, just like the marque preference of the author Ian Fleming who wore a Rolex Explorer.
@@markn3586 Exactly! I was only a kid but I remember Bond (Roger Moore) with Pulsar and at least 4 different (possibly Moore :) Seiko gadget watches in the 70s through to the 80s. Kids never forget these wonderful toys :)
Absolutely superb analysis. I must have watched thousands of RU-vid videos on every subject imaginable. This guy just made one of the best videos I have ever seen. Compelling viewing. Sub'd.
Excellent video. I have 8 Rolex, which includes the Daytona, Batman, and the Hulk. I have twice as many GS. I agree with your assessment and I would like to add a few details from my experience. I have currently four spring-drive. My 5th, the latest manual spring-drive 9R31 Sunbeam is on its way. On the average, i get 3 sec per month. That's Japanese modesty for you. The clasp would be like what you get on a GS diver or a marine master which is designed for practicality as a diver's tool should. The bulge on the clasp is just as iconic as the crown. It's just like the SBGC series chronograph being nicknamed the Dragon for obvious reason. If you are into iconic vintage Seiko, you would understand. The LX is designed and certified for saturation diving without helium gas. The Sub is not suitable saturation diving. Though the Sea Dweller has helium, but, it has an obsolete manual function. As for the finishing, i reproduce here my comments on the comparison between the Dragon and the Daytona. I have the Jade Dragon SBGC207 which comes in a one of a kind croc strap made to last forever, it seems. It looks more rugged everyday with seasoning. I will compare it with my Daytona 116503 for a point blank value proposition. If you have both, start by feeling your finger over the crown, the guard, and the pushers, then the edges. Now, you can feel the difference between a handmade watch and a machine made watch. Try not to press to hard on the Rolex, though, or you may cut your finger. The Daytona +30 sec per month is the most accurate of my Rolex. The Dragon hardly moved a sec over a month. Don't say it's not mechanical. It has a 50 jewels 415 parts movement and it's 1/3th the price of the Daytona. The LX, at 4200USD, after 25% regular discount is less than half the price of the Sub. Yes, it's justified. If you prefer the GS pricing, then, get the GS. If you have a lower budget, the marine master, a real diver, is still around for you at 2700USD new. I don't see any reason to complain.
@@slickrick320 You are welcomed bro. One other common misinterpretation is the size and thickness. It's understandable if you are getting one or two watches, you may get a small and thin one of your liking. But, if you are a player, and have been playing for a long time, you would certainly have gone beyond that stigma.
Nice comment. Appreciate this kind of analysis. Every1 here may not have the opportunity or mean to owns these watches and your ownership shines the light. I believe GS does have machine finishes then hand finishing beyond zaratsu. as well. Thumbs up
@@vtheglad9266 You are welcomed. Recently, there was a video comparing Rolex and GS. This one caught my eyes bec it has the main frame picture with the left half Submariner hour hand and the right half GS Hi-beat Diver's minute hand. That's a wrong picture if you do not spell out the differences. The Rolex hands are way smaller and shorter. It requires an excellent mechanism to carry bigger and longer hands, especially if it's running at higher frequency (5Hz Vs 4Hz), maintaining a higher power reserve (55 Hr vs 48Hr) and at the same time, keep accurate time. It's right to price the 30 Jewels 5R65 spring-drive more than the 26 jewels 8L35. It's more decorated for a start. The tourbillion is a marvel, but, now you can have one for 500usd. The spring-drive is a standing marvel, testament of Piaget's 70K failure. If they had been successful, the Swiss will tell you how marvelous the spring-drive, and is worth every penny of your 70K. There is video by watchbox comparing Omega Deville tressor with GS Elegance SBGK002. I copy here my comment: "The gs not only has a better mechanism than the patek calatrava small sec but way better all round. The dial is an art piece. Wrong comparison. The tressor should be compared to the gs caliber 9s64, the latest being the sbgw231 which cost one third the price of the omega. The hands and indices of the gs dances even in dim lights. The tressor though more decorated, runs at lower beat and yet has lower power reserve." Still, i take my hat off to the Omega for their guts. It takes an incredible mechanism to carry a long minute hand and an even longer second hand at high frequency (3.5 vs 4Hz), maintaining high power reserve (60 vs 72Hr) and at the same time keep 'chronometer time.' Watch connoisseur called this sec hand the third hand, and the best of watches. This basis of a good manual wind gives you the platform for a good automatic mentioned earlier. Try to find one of this caliber in the big names and see. Lost in complications for complications sake, people are hoodwinked and missed the most i important lesson in horology. This is the beginning of knowing what is a good watch.
If Seiko did something with their bracelet, clasp, and on the fly micro adjust, they would be so much more desirable. I own the MM300 sla021, and its lovely. One of my favorite watches to date. I owned and still own, omega, rolex and tudor. The seiko mm300 is still my favorite. I replaced the clasp with one from a strapcode bracelet
I own a basic Seiko SKX009 (Pepsi) diver watch, it is just as accurate as my Rolex Batman (2016) in my opinion, but what I feel when I wear my Rolex is priceless. I enjoy wearing my Seiko very much and I use it for a beater. I have been wanting to buy a Grand Seiko SBGN003 or a GS GMT SBGE201, but my issue isn't with the quality of the watch, in my opinion Seiko group makes some of the best working timepieces. The problem I have is if I every go for resale, They have no value because I have been told by watch resellers that it's just a Seiko. Just to add I buy watches to wear not for resale, but in my opinion you never know when needs change. Great video as always and all the best.
Seiko Grandmaster beat Swiss watches hands down whenever they have ever entered into an accuracy competition against Rolex, in fact, Rolex will no longer enter their watches against Seiko because they don't like coming second.:-)
Nice video! Spring drive is actually way more accurate than a second a day. It's about a second per month. I don't think this watch is worth it though, for this kind of money you can buy a Grand Seiko Snowflake, which is way more appealing in my opinion
It’s not. It’s about 4 seconds a month, which is still insane. At 4 seconds a month a spring drive has in 12 years, 2 months and about 2 weeks the same deviance as a modern Rolex running +2 seconds a day has in a year! Gotta love spring drive! :-) Also, it’s not fair to judge the price of a dive watch by comparing it to a dress watch because they are totally different beasts.
@@pacovl46 Some will run at +4 seconds, some at +0.5 or even less. There's this youtuber who has two Snowflakes, one of them runs about +2s a month, the other at about +1s a day. I agree on the dress watch thing, but in my opinion the snowflake isn't really a dress watch. It can be worn on casual occasions as well. It's as much of a dress watch as a Datejust is
My analogue G-Shock GA-1000-A1 is accurate to about 2 seconds per year :), and is massively more rugged than the three watches reviewed, combined. Certainly the GA-1000-A1 is not an heirloom piece, and we all love those, but for accuracy, reliability and durability, mechanical watches cannot touch quartz. Its as if all mechanical watches ship broken, with some being less broken than others. And don't drop one off your dresser onto a hard floor, but yes, that US$9,000, thank you very much. I tell you, neighbors, the watch business is just like the mountain bike business. Price is no barometer of performance, and everything is vastly priced over the value of what you get for your money. Buy smarter - get better.
The Omega and Rolex both have much cleaner handset aesthetics, I really like the Seiko prospex LX line especially the green diver and batman GMT. but i'm not at all a fan of the extended tail end's on the hour and minute hand's of the LX divers... I could accept the slightly chubbier hour hand on the Prospex LX GMT handset as they don't have the bulky/ugly tail ends but then they put the seconds hand pip on the tail end... which is one of my biggest watch pet peeves. Even the Grand Seiko Diver and GMTs cant get it quite right... the GS diver still has a slight tail end on the minute hand but It doesn't really bother me too much, since I still like the overall aesthetics much better then Omega or Rolex diver handsets, but then the GS diver has the seconds hand lume pip on the wrong end (kinda a seiko thing I guess) and the GS GMT just doesn't even bother featuring lume on the seconds hand. They just cant quite get it right... The LX bezel is one of my favorite looking dive bezels though... I'll for sure be modding my ISL-28 with a SKX007 LX bezel... the aesthetics should pair vary well with the angular ISL-28 case (Seiko Samurai case)
Another option that is more affordable is the new 2019 Prospex Sumo. Very nice watch with great updates like saffier glass and better movement. Under $1000! Also in green.
@@lebojay How accurate is it? Mine lost a full minute most days. It was a beautiful watch but I sold it because the lack of accuracy was unacceptable. A watch that cannot keep time reasonably accurately, is worthless to me.
@@vondahe Let’s say +/- 25 seconds a day approximately. Much room for improvement. The movements have regulators so if you’re willing to pay a watchmaker to fiddle with it they can be made more precise.
What a good point thank you for good content, how long can a brand live of their of their hype ouch good brand i think the consumers always win in the end .
I think you should have compared the Seiko to the Submariner with the cyclops (or is that the Sea-Dweller?). It may have added enough complexity that it wouldn't look so minimalist compared to the Seiko. That being said, what a beautiful Seiko!
I ordered one today from chisholm hunter dundee who are an authorized seiko dealer, its was a special order as its not on their web site so didn't get discount on watch but I asked if Could order the silicone and aligator straps that are on other lx models and was delighted to be told they would order them at no extra cost! Result.
This is a fantastic video, I love your analysis, thoughtful and entertaining comparison. I agree the Seiko LX is superior to the Sub...but I wonder if it is worth more than a Seamaster? Thank you for an interesting video :)
I own both. My take. The spring drive is the better movement from a time keeping perspective. The Omega movement with it's anti magnetism is potentially more hard wearing. I think the finishing on the Omega is better. The Zaratsu polishing on the Seiko is great but the lines and overall shape is simple, the Omega has a beautifully complex and sculpted case and face which is multi faceted. The bracelet on the seamaster is miles better, the on the fly adjustment is superior to Seiko's, the only downside is that it is not tapered. Overall at MSRP the Omega is the better watch. It holds its value better and the QC is better (some complaints of alignment in the Seiko LX series). The Seiko is a great watch still though, I'd buy it second hand. I got both of my LXs at 55% of retail price.
I own a Rolex coke dial GMT II bought brand new in 2006 and a Sinn U1 with fully tegimented bezel and bracelet and a casio mtd 110. While my rolex has appreciated over 250%, Rolex has kept the watch with the same movement. My watch has the 3185 and the newer models have the 3186 movement. By now almost 15 yrs have passed and my watch is trouble free and when examined at close range you wouldn’t know its 15 yrs old. To the point i am considering buying a seiko for sure but i like the older models from previous generation. In terms of value seiko wins for design, quality, cost, reliability and overall functionality. Buying a rolex now is insane as Rolex drives the demand and you cannot even get a stainless steel submariner. Excellent review, very in depth and you really have done your HW.
The only reason I would want this watch is for the spring drive movement's quartz level of accuracy and the perfect sweep of the seconds hand. But otherwise, Seiko is asking too much for a prospex watch. Seiko is known to have quality control issues on prospex and other lower end lines of watches in regards to the alignment of hour markers, chapter rings, date windows etc. I might as well go look for a used Grand Seiko.
I love the fact Seiko has such a large diver family so you can select the diver best for you. I own a Sumo and love it. This is also a negative in that you can always find a cheaper alternative in their lineup that does the job of their $3k+ watches. I find Seiko design more interesting than the Sub but less luxurious. So it is just a matter of picking your poison. For the money, I find my Sumo unbeatable in design and quality.
I own both watches, the Seiko and the Rolex. I end up wearing the Seiko more because it's less flashy and inevitably when people see read Seiko on the dial they think "cheap". On the other hand, the Rolex shines and commands attention. Finally, although both are good quality watches the Rolex comes on top, will retain value better and represent most people in most situations.
It's very hard to imagine anyone other than pretentious watch snobs to spot a Seiko on someone's wrist and think "that's cheap". When in reality it would be a breath of fresh air when watch enthusiasts spot a Seiko, a Timex, a Citizen, a Casio, Orient and instantly think "now that's a real watch", in a sea of apple watches, fashion watches, and empty wrists.
I think seiko would represent most people in most situations. I have a Rolex but wear my marinemaster more often especially at night. The unwanted attention factor doesn’t happen with the seiko even Hough I like it better😃
Honestly, nothing will ever kill the submariner until Rolex discontinues the line. There are plenty of better watches out there, watches that come close to the quality at a substantially lower price (Steinhart being one) but the Submariner is like any other luxury brand/item. I've always been a bit sketchy on Seiko because they don't have the consistent quality that they used to. For that money, you might as well save up for a bit longer and get a Grand Seiko.
Nice review, definitely taking a look at some higher end Seiko’s, this watch is gorgeous... I love my trusty SKX, still the best Beater on the planet... Wearing a high-end Seiko must have it’s own secret pleasure, flying under the radar, while others seek the attention and status of a Rolex or Royal Oak...
You have to see this Seiko Prospex LX in person. Magnificent watch. This watch is a statement piece. I purchased the SNR045 (Green version) and absolutely love it. Why not have this watch AND the Submariner in your collection?
Outstanding Presentation! I have a Rolex Sub that was given to me as a College Graduation Gift and it spends 99.9% of the time in my Safety Deposit Box because its a 40mm case and I am a 6 foot 2 inch 250 pound guy with a nearly 9 inch wrist. I normally wear diver watches because they are tough as a former Military guy that is still involved in tough work I need a reliable and tough watch that is why I stay with watches from Seiko, Glycine and Breitling because they have made 45-48mm case watches that are build Solid! This Seiko Prospex LX is a watch that I was not aware of but now that I am it has made the short list as the next major watch Purchase in 2020.
@@purplefabian What does that have to do with my comment? That's a different topic from the one at hand. Better movement or not (and even that is arguable depending on what is important to you), this Omega is not even inflicting a wound on the Submariner's sales...let alone killing the sales. Those that want the best value for their money can go buy a Citizen or a Casio and get a durable watch that keeps perfect time. People who buy these expensive mechanical watches are buying a statement and jewelry for the most part. Those that want the Submariner don't give a rat's ass about a couple of meaningless technical details that the movement of an Omega might have that the Rolex does not. They want a Rolex. Period. Very few people wanted the Submariner and then said, "Oh wait, now I want this Omega diver instead." Some, perhaps, but very few. There's such a high demand for Submariners that the demand has not eroded by even one unit since the launch of this Omega. Rolex has not changed their production by one unit because of this watch and that is the topic at hand...not which one has the better this or that. Don't get me wrong, I own many Rolexes and I also own Omegas. In fact, I'm buying another Omega right now. Omegas are awesome and I'm not here to hate on them; I'm just stating facts from a business perspective and I laugh when people say it's a Submariner killer. Whatever you can say on paper about, whether it has to do with movements or something else, has nothing to do with this point.
The Seamaster just looks better and classier than the Prospex. Omega really nailed it.The Rolex is starting to look a bit old and crusty next to both of them, though. There’s a limit to how much the Rolex brand name can make the sub shine.
Hue Man That is true. I do not doubt for one second that the Rolex is a better investment (as far as investing in watches goes anyways), but as a watch it is getting a bit long in the tooth compared to its competition. I think a good move for Rolex would be to update their watch again soon, like they did right after the Omega SMP came out.
You can say Rolex is looking old and boring but one can say they don't need to change what isn't broken. You know what you are getting with Rolex and that is class and quality. Now for a Rolex enthusiast being class and quality is a different story.
Great review! A nice change from the standard watch review. Controversial....sure...but you make some really great points and you make them well. As a Rolex GMT (1987) owner and watch lover/collector who wastes hours every day watching videos and reading about watches (Seiko lately), I totally agree with everything you said and your shortened crown version was a great idea. I assume the watch shown is an SNR029 and at $5,000-$5,500 USD, I would tell any new watch collector/shopper to pick that over a Sub. Maybe even pay less if you watch and wait for a sale or get a used one. Rolex and their silly games and the whole AD/Grey Market price thing....walk away...don't follow the herd. Liked and subscribed! Well done "IDGuy"...whoever you are.
Excellent review. You are very knowledgeable. Brand recognition is so dominant in pricing. Hard to fork out that kind of money for a Seiko vs an Omega. Just like you will be willing to pay much more more for a Lexus 460 than the Toyota Land Cruiser. They are both identical cars with a different badge.
Why would this Seiko have the Submariner, “on the ropes”, when watches as excellent as the Planet Ocean didn’t. What about other Spring Drive divers that have been available for years. This makes no sense.
Micro adjustment on a strap is now almonds a must for me after experiencing one when u can adjust it easily during the day when you’re wrist expands, so many people I see having to take off their watches during a hot sweaty day in the office n there watches r on there desks when with micro adjustment on a strap there’s no taking off n rubbing your wrist
