I’m from Zambia, a Christian nation since 1999 . There’s no apostasy laws and freedom of religion is encouraged even in universities and high schools . There’s is no justification to take anyone’s life no matter what they did only in self defense but otherwise there’s zero justification. An eye for and eye will only make the whole world blind . Love and forgiveness conquers all
This was really interesting. Nice conversation. Salman did justice. Even though I feel some questions we're not asked and some questions were not well answered.
I don’t think Salama was right though, you can’t come out in defense of a thing and then be supporting your opposing panel more, it’s not right. Felt like 4 Christians against 2 Muslims, she should not have been there
Please bring Muslims that are very knowledgeable about the deen. That can rightly defend the religion because they are well knowledgeable . I must say i am quite disappointed the Muslims did not do justice to these prompts
@@anomite121 No you need to know about the correct basis to speak about something . You might not know everything at least you should say the correct thing .
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge.” (Qur'an, 17:36) while everyone can express themselves, when it comes to complex or sensitive matters, like religion or other critical areas, it's crucial to base opinions on facts and reliable knowledge
I think Oyindamola made a great point on the legal gaps in various Muslim countries. These things should raise issues because people like to conceptualise ideas and influence innocent followers.
Pls next time get educated Muslim from northern part of Nigeria and Christian from the northern. Southern Muslims and Southern Christian are cool with themselves
Great video but I have a feedback! You need a part two of this debate. They are both Abrahamic religions, similar perspectives. You need people with an abstract understanding of leaving Islam in its entirety ..
No offense, sister Salama. Alhamdulillah, I'm happy you've found peace in Islam. However, I believe there is much more to learn about the deen, and I assure you that with deeper understanding, you'll discover even greater peace and enjoyment in practicing Islam. May Allah continue to guide and protect you. Ameen In Islam, we are commanded to enjoin good and forbid evil. The idea of accepting someone with a lifestyle that is clearly forbidden, such as being queer, contradicts the teachings of Islam. If one truly knows Islam and understands the concept of ghayrah (protective jealousy) for the deen, they would not be complacent. Protective jealousy means we care deeply about the boundaries Allah has set. When we see something Allah has warned against, we should first try to guide the person away from that action. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart-and that is the weakest of faith” (Muslim 49). If all efforts to guide someone fail, we are instructed to distance ourselves to safeguard our own faith. The Qur'an also reminds us in Surah At-Tahrim (66:6), “O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones.” We must protect ourselves from influences that can weaken our iman. Lastly, while Islam encourages kindness and love toward our neighbors, as taught by the Prophet (ﷺ) who said, “None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself” (Bukhari 13, Muslim 45), our love for our deen comes first. This is because our relationship with Allah is the highest priority, and we cannot compromise it for any human connection. In conclusion, we love our neighbors, but we must also prioritize safeguarding our faith and upholding the limits set by Allah. If someone’s behavior endangers our own religious practice, we should pray for them from a distance and seek to protect ourselves
I wish I was on the Christian panel. Sirs you need Christian and Muslim apologetics to go at it. Except for the old man researcher. Everyone is just in for the good part of their religion, no one is really knowledgeable about the histories of both religion. And I assure you if you mention this truth to the Muslim brother on the panel, they will shrik in shame
Salama really needs to speak less so as to understand more. Like Salman said, you can't compare two different entities (or eras) if they have different conditions or factors. This is applicable to everything and not only religion. Secondly, as against Salama's words, there are tons of Christians spread across the Northern states proudly going about their activities.
So, whomsoever Allah wills to guide, He makes his heart wide open for Islam, and whomsoever He wills to let go astray, He makes his heart strait and constricted, (and he feels embracing Islam as difficult) as if he were climbing to the sky. In this way, Allah lays abomination on those who do not believe.
@@hannah.adhiambo the difference is that Jesus never wills to let anyone go astray. He only wills for everyone to come to his love. but he is also a just God that has given us free will and respects our decisions that when decide we don’t need him he doesn’t force us. Being away for Jesus is a personal will that he has no hand in playing. He loves us so much that even when we decide to be apart from him he doesn’t completely let go and still loves those who hate him. Allah loves only those who love him . Its conditional
Let this man keep quiet oh Jeeus never said sn eye for an eye. This man on green is very ignorant and arrogant. Go and read your Hadiths sir. Your own sources cripple your arguments.
The saying Jesus quotes in Matthew 5:38, “Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth” occurs not once, but at least three times, in the Old Testament (Ex. 21:23-25;
It’s not about fighting for God, yall need to stop saying what you don’t understand. You fight for your freedom to worship God not for God, the Muslims at the time of the prophet were being killed by the idol worshipers, they fought for their freedom of religion, not for God.
I feel like Sharia law gets a bad rep because of misconceptions. People think it's all about” harsh punishments” however it's actually so much more than that. Sharia is about living a righteous life, taking care of ourselves and others, and following Allah's guidance. We should educate ourselves from authentic sources like the Quran and Hadith, and not rely on what others say. Let's break the stereotypes and show the beauty of Islam.
But it still contains harsh punishments. Punishment that is boldly written there. Which is so wrong. You should ask why most sharia abiding countries are in war. Well, you can learn
Please educate me on how Muhammed met Safiya(his second wife). Did Muhammed really kill her father, brother and husband before he married her? Did Muhammed kill anyone at all? Compare that to Jesus who never committed sin. Never killed. Never store. Never raped. Muhammed did those 3
Bible commands the cutting off of hands and to show no pitty as well as cutting off hands for sinning in the new testament too and is antithetical to justice as it promotes enacting your own punishments without any jury or trial Deuteronomy 25:11-12 “If two men fight together, and the wife of one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of the one attacking him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; your eye shall not pity her. Matthew 5:30 says, "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell".
You needf to actually read the bible and not just site verses out of context. Mathew 5:30 is hyperbole. Deuteronomical laws are not applicable today, also the laws in deut were worst case and the judges were allowed interpretation
@@carbonsoul5121 you completely took Mathew out of context because just before that it says it a paradox 😂😂 Old Testament laws are interpreted by rabbis not God so they are not applicable to us. We are Christians ( followers of Christ) Quran [9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. Sahih bukahri 2920 literally tells you to unlive Jews and find them where ever they hide . Not that’s that’s what’s happening today just saying you as a Muslim are commanded to do it .
For Deutronomy passage that’s for a predominantly sinful nature and Sam shamoun on his channel shamounian on RU-vid is talking about that verse as it relates to a women trying to attack a man and cutting of his genitals to stop his production so it’s much more deep than it is that’s why the only way to save yourself is to cut of the hand before it does too much damage it’s a one of self defense as the Bible preaches on self defense and for Matthew that’s an expression not made to be taken literally it’s about just fleeing from sin Watxh Sam shamoun on shamounian channel he is somehow rude in speaking but have facts to say
