While the description says "tool only" it does come with one each of a bi-metal ru-vid.comUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI and HCS blade plus an adaptor plate for non-DeWalt blades. Wish I had known that before I bought the blade kit, but oh well. Since I already have a DeWalt drill, charger and batteries there was no need to buy more of those so this was a great deal.There is one other consideration. DeWalt does't sell the depth guide separately so you need to buy the three parts which make it up -- the N275350 block assy, the N275341 metal rod and the N278801 knob. Amazon does sell all three.

The ratchet depending on the length don't need expensive Leatherman or sog handle. The mini ratchet actually work best in a L or T handle configuring and you will get much more torque.

I want this tool so bad. I just wish it did have a good sized flat head without having to do any mods and instead of a serrated blade an actual saw. If it had those two things with would be perfect for my uses. I started a small carpet and floor refinishing business and this is perfect for almost everything I ever need a tool for. I was working with a knife and knipex cobra, but I’m constantly needing scissors, a screw driver, flat head, and a tool to scrape things in general. This would pretty much cover allow me to carry one tool and eliminate wasted trips back to the trailer

My powerpint isn't quite as loose as yours seems to be, but I use a small neodymium magnet to keep it closed. Got a little bottle of them from harbor freight. Wanted slightly bigger ones for something else actually, but they turned out to be useful for my powerpint at least.

I think the SOG PowerPint hits well above its weight both price point and ability ...... you might consider looking at its brother SOG PowerLitre, slightly different tool set but it has an inbuilt handle lock which notably will keep the handles closed in your pocket but will also let you lock your handle tight on the driver bits which makes that function 10x better. This function can also be used with hex drive drill bits (slow but if depending on your needs can quite usefully in a small tool kit) The blade you referred to as a saw is really a serrated blade ...... good news the bit driver function of the pliers can also be used to hold other Leatherman Surge accessories (saw blade and diamond file) or even suitable jigsaw blades (increasing the functionality of these little powerhouses even further). Also the bottom of the inbuilt file can be used as a metal saw in a pinch. The hook blade you called a can opener is actually a combination scraper - gut hook knife (needs sharpening but great for pull cutting hard to reach zip ties, plastic packaging and opening boxes). You might also consider combining the multitool with one of 711L's other tool accessories = they have a dual function bit extension with inbuilt 1/4" hex bit holder and 1/4" square socket drive.

I feel that this conversation occurred The Public: "Hey Leatherman, you should reintroduce the Juice line, they are a great size for EDC and the average person." Leatherman Co.: "No, but here is some NOS Juices we found in the back" (which sale out almost immediately) SOG Co.: "Introducing the New Powerpint which is a smaller version of our New SOG Power Line of Multitools Featuring the PowerAccess and PowerAssist. We thought that a smaller model might be popular for the average person that would like to have and carry a Multitool but do not want the size and weight in their pocket or attached to their belt if they do not work in a profession that needs it." ((The crowd goes wild and starts buying up the new SOG Powerpint, especially the Black variation)) They do seem nice and I hear very little negatively said about them. Hopefully they will continue to make upgrades to them as time goes on.

I used to edc powerpint but now I carry Skeletool instead. Your video reminds me of the good days with the powerpint and I decide to swap back tomorrow.

There are a few neat little ratchet drivers out there, but the one I own can be used as an inline driver too, since it has a hex bit holder in the end of the handle. It's the Sealey micro bit driver but also sold under the brand Sabrecut, both are identical. I carry mine together with a Wera bit extender and the bits of my choice, I add Allen bits if out on my mountain bike.

Great review -- I don't leave home without my PowerPint. Mine is attached to a RovyVon Aurora A5x via keyring with magnetic connector. BTW, unless I missed it, I don't think you mentioned the compass feature of the PowerPint... that is, drawing/measurement, not direction. It's such a versatile multitool.

Leatherman also has a ratchet driver. Just a different orientation than the 711L one. More screwdriver rather than wrench.

Instead of that hair band I just glued a tiny 10/4/1mm strong neodim magnet on the end of one of the arms and it works great. It even keeps the bits tight in the tool without the need of hand pressure. It's a great tool, but not all the individual tools are great, for example the cutting hook, can opener, etc., They are quiet mediocre, but I carry It everyday since I bought it 3 months ago. It's incredible, it's the size of a BIC lighter, shorter than the average Victorinox

You can use a jigsaw blade in the hex socket grip, not ideal but it works in a pinch.

the SOG power liter has a little locking arm that holds it tight so your drill bit won't slide out when you release your grip on the handles,

The spot for the key ring is there but there’s not a lock feature on the pint… that’s the liter. I may have to pick one of the power litres up, though!

@Post Family Pilgrimage I do love my Victorinox Explorer but since I deal with many different screws, I carry a Leatherman. I have been thinking about getting a Victorinox Pliers multitool for a while but the fact that they don't have a Bit holder, I have yet to buy one. They look awesome. 1 day I am not going to do a possible side job or something I might need a square or star head screwdriver, I will probably carry my SAK. I thought about getting the Cybertool but I think it takes smaller than normal size bits. I look for excuses to use my Victorinox around my house though.

You would lose two tools but if you get the Sog power litre, it’s basically the exact same tool but it locks on the back so you don’t need a rubber band

I would love to have 2 extra tools and the locking feature, best of both worlds plus I quit drinking 10 years ago so I don’t really need a corkscrew

I tried the SOG powerpint, the quality is rather disappointing. Blunt knife, dicy pliers and bended blade. The design is very promising but needs better quality. Skeletool is a better option.

The next time you feel compelled to buy some gadget that you don't need, consider getting a camera that focuses faster instead because it's really distracting and lowers the quality of your video a lot for you to be constantly trying to focus items with your hand
