Yoooo I wanna say this was an awesome review. Very professional and non biased. Thanks for being honest. I'm tired of seeing barber/influences push stuff just because they get it free or are sponsored.
Had The Play for the last 2 weeks and for the price and how well it’s made these are definite winners! Love the modular capabilities with the grips and logo’s as well!
@@troybizzle 100% get the play. If you learn in the beginning with the magic clip it can set you back when you use any other clipper Kuz of the blade that the MCs have . It’s a staggered tooth. And it cuts your time and effort in blending by at least 30%. Which is good for timing nd speed but bad for the initial skill you have to learn
It’s made in the same warehouse. So the lever, blade, motor , 2 speed, and charger and guards are “jrl” but the body is completely new build. And I’ve heard that the play is like 1 -3 points quieter. But it’s also way cheaper than the jrl.
@ResplendentRaider I'm not a fan of Wahl so I'd say yes absolutely.. I love these Plays. My go-tos. I keep these and the JRLs in my 2 clipper rotation. U can put the Wahl blade on it if that's what u like.. I put the babyliss taper blade on it and the wall fade blade on the JRLs.. but these Plays are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey buddy i watched your videos, i think this is a super nice clipper, i have both of them black and the newest white version. What i think is the white one is a little bit quiter than the black version i dont know if even you noticed that....???
0:23 my review it’s a jrl clone. But for me it’s more fire bc the form factor. And if u put it next to jrl and turn them on and off at same time the light cuts off exactly the same delay. I’m been using it for a few weeks it’s more forgiving than the instincts. It’s now my go to bc it’s all around a great clipper.
So far all the Tpob clippers I’ve tried I ended up using for a couple days and returning back to Amazon. The Slime, XO Slime and Yeti. The all just aren’t impressive. The cut ok on straight hair clients but majority of my clients are Black and Coarse haired and the clippers just do cut well through the hair. Fading is ok , debulking is horrible . The feel sturdy and heavy aside from the Slime but they just don’t perform to my standard. Luckily I was able to return and get refunded . I’m waiting for the PLAY in the mail. Hopefully I get better results because the clipper design is amazing and Slime green is my favorite color so I want so bad to add A pair of these to my arsonal . On the other hand . Those XO/X trimmers are monsters !!! Best in the game .even better than Babyliss . I’m waiting for the Clippers technology to catch up, not quite there yet IMO
I like the play but I like the slime 2 black splatt more. Maybe I’m not used to the extended range but I like the feedback I get with the slime as it’s cutting. I was surprised by how nice the click lever felt on the slime. I got 3 of them now, one with a ceramic staggertooth cutting blade, another one with a taper blade and the last one stock.
I have the original slime but was looking at the black splat one. The videos I’ve seen of people using it, it looks to cut much better than the original. Did you happen to have both versions to be able to compare if the new slime is actually better?
@@voxy6865 I have both, but I have the newest version of the green slime, the new one doesn’t have that orange bumper, it has a black one. They’re the exact same except for the blade, same power, battery and lever. It feels and sounds exactly the same. I also have the pink candy and the candy is definitely different, less power and worse lever, although the blade on the candy is the best imo. It cuts nice and glides super smooth on the scalp. I put the silver candy blades on all my slimes
The play is my go to and favourite. The X I have is a great power clipper and I prefer it for beards if they want a grade all over. I think the lever is also the best I’ve used click wise. With it being so quiet it allows me to know more about my work and hair growth patterns.
I have the new style craft metal instincts and to be honest I’m thinking about selling them and getting these. The SC are just ironically unnecessarily strong and very loud and while it sounds nice to have the strongest motor it’s very unforgiving on fades specially when you have a full shop and you tryna get through the fades. I think ima cop these soon.
@@trinigoose9775 appreciate, i bought it bout a 2-3 weeks ago 💯

I have tried the Yeti's and the Trolls. Both would get choked up in thick hair. I have returned both. I need a clipper that can do it all. I love the Tpob clippers because they are all so quiet. I have my go to clippers being the Wahl Senior cordless and 5 star Magic Clips.. but they are so loud.. But they both cut through anything with ease. I'm going to try Tpob one more time with these plays.. I'm hoping for the best.
