I'm thinking about ordering this board tomorrow. I just want something that I can carve my heart out on but still go 25 miles and hour or so and still feel very confident and stable. I love the way it looks, I love how it's unique, the width, I don't know why they put 3000w motors on it but I'll take it. Looking for other options too. I'll be taking that big riser pad off because it can fit 105s like that.
@@scottdaviesyoutube interesting, they seem to be still using the same pics on their website. They should've just sold the riser pad separately as an add on option for AT wheels instead of putting it on everyone's board imo. For the money this board seriously delivers value. PERFECT for urban group rides with that range, high carve, and kicktail. It boggles my mind why more companies don't bother making larger sized cruiser boards/kick tail longboards. They are so sick and useful. Everything is either a boosted clone or AT. 😥
Wow from no 34 inch boards to i dont know which one i want . Thanks for that Scott. P.s . Rode along that path yesterday. Went from Wellington Point to Cleveland Point. And was giving the Explorer a run on that grass hill as well
I love the 105 Tynee wheels on this board. They added so much more grip than the cloud wheels. It feels comfortable to go fast! Thanks again for this awesome review Scott. I’ve happily put 500 miles on my stinger :D
⚡⚡ *Looks so good* 🤩⚡ I usually take thick risers out and put thinner risers on and tighten the trucks. I would personally try de-wedge risers on this for my needs but curious about gettin TKP on this. I'd need clarification from Tynee on whether "univeesal" evolve/onsra/verreal pulleys work with this, if not do Tynee offer kegel pulleys for this. I already have kegel pulleys from verreal which work with many different branded boards. Yeah the ability to pull/drag it by the trucks and roll is makes it more portable than lighter minis, makes that 12kg easier to carry, thanks for that! 🤙🏼🤙🏼 Such a carvy thing, really enjoyed this review, think I need to get my heart rate down now 🤣
When I 1st entertained the idea of Eskate, I wanted your typical skatepark "popsicle" board....when I seen the Bustin Boards Yoface Hybrid, I was all over it. Short board Eskate are super fun, I encourage all Eskate riders to own at least one. There's now a ton of variety if Short boards based on use case, overall power and range as well.
just got my own meepo flow, waiting on getting riptide bushings cause meepo's bushings just arn't up to snuff when it comes to speed. I'm scared of going up to level 4, its insanely fun
Hey Scott, thanks for the review. One question I don't think was answered - how's the kicktail? Considering the length and the weight of the skate, how usable is it for popping up the front wheels when going over obstacles, for kickturning or just for picking up the board? Thanks!
Another awesome review! Liking it a bit more now looks wise. Just some Caguama wheels (and pulleys) on and BAM magic 🤣. Curious about the app for hobbywing 🤙
Great review as always Scott!! I was debating between this and the Mini3 Pro but eventually decided to get the Pro! Similar specs power wise I believe but the shorter board and lighter weight convinced me about the Pro as it will be better for short journeys IMO but still have enough power to go past most boards and up most hills. I don't do super long rides so the 393wh on the Pro is already plenty! Would be great to know your thoughts between the 2?? My Pro is apparently on arriving this afternoon(UK)!! Can't wait!😅
People need to ride this,.. Best combination of long short offroad onroad esk8. It is what i've always wanted in a board. Great job Tynee. Scotty just want to ask if your belts arrived super tight like mine or you adjusted them??? Also thank you for making this video helped me choose the Stinger over all others. Epic board
I kept mine tight. Not sure if I should adjust the belts as well. Please keep me posted if you can. I did loosen the trucks a bit and man this board has some really good turn radius!
@@scottdaviesyoutubeno, different specs. This 12s3p battery is supposedly capable of providing 135a if needed, but the esc included is technically a 50a esc or 25a per motor according to the hobbywing spec sheet. The tynee website says 80a so it must kick up a notch when climbing hills etc. Ordered my stinger last night based on this video! Can't wait!
@@vincerice2031 Aiden said the Stinger uses a high configuration 9028 ESC (not the standard 9028 ESC) so maybe the specs aren't the exact same as what is on the Hobbywing spec sheet
Faster and a little more carvier (if that’s a word) Flow looks more pretty but the Stinger has more performance I’m making a mini board shoot out soon to show the differences But will be a few weeks away
All the tiny baby men ( say it in the TF2 heavy weapons guy voice ;) ) complaining about weight are RUINING everything for the rest of us. Just get used to it. Just go buy a cheapy board if you need small and light. I hear exway has a new board for you kids, even got some nice light duty-looking hub motors. They'll last for sure. ;p Will the tiny explorer motor controller with the other style remote be an option for this board ? I respect the ability to change any and all settings through the remote, which is not an option with hobbywing if i understand correctly ( app and phone required -_- ). Its unfortunate that they went with this style kick tail, as the tips wear out extremely fast. I own a gen1 stoke so i know this. The kicktail also looks small, is there enough of an angle to use it easily ? Or does it feel small / more effort needed to use Also sad to see the standard double king pin design where the road side kingpin bolt IS THE LOWEST THING ON THE BOARD. It therefor will tap / get smashed onto the pavement regularly and can fail. We NEED fully enclosed belts. Tynee, you did it with the mini 3... we need you to save us. :o Something i noticed on the tynee mini 3 that i wonder about this board is if there are multiple layers of moisture protection for the battery AND the electronics. On the mini 3, only the battery seemed to have multiple layers of protection and the circuit board was only protected by the one main gasket. So... i trust that the battery is waterproof, but i WORRY that the electronics are NOT moisture proof. I could be wrong, hope so !
Hmm,I was lookin to get a Tynee Pro or Acedeck Stella S1,but now I see this & it has the speed & the next big thing for me is distance, just worried about stability, kinda was leaning towards the S1 but now I dont know, the S1 does look better
So basically a Meepo Flow. Same motors, ESC, but with a bigger battery made of the same quality cells. Different anesthetics obviously but same basic idea. I would love to see a side by side performance comparison between the Meepo Flow and this here.
Forget the Porsche I am checking out the Stinger, all tech specs aside if you could only choose one for pure carving and ride quality which one, Stinger or Flow?
@@wiembellil3453 The mini 3 pro is also a good looking board for sure, I'm a taller guy and think the stinger would fit me better with the longer deck and bigger motors
Why do do you say this board is light and talk about an LE? It weighs 11,7 kilos which is more than an OG Exway Atlas 2WD which is ridiculous given the size of the board, And my God, is it super tall!!
I love the specs for the money, but my god... the board is just so *ugly* . I had to choose between this and the Meepo Flow for my cruiser board and whilst I feel like I could have gotten a bit more for my money with the Stinger, the Flow just wrecks the Stinger on aesthetic appeal. It was a close call though.
board desighn is hedeious,, horrable... lol deal breaker for many honestl no kick tail pas protector, they really took the short cuts for the price, Defentally not worth the price and a weak worrentie needs to be extended...dont buy boards that dint give long worrenties if you do youll be sorry you bought junk
26 pounds !!!!!!!!! thats way to fkn heavy, hell just lugging around the mini 3 pro is heavy at 20.5 pounds. ALAS its a very nice looking board mate. these boards are only getting heavier
@@shama1824i asked to aiden for a special order but shipping from china, so, long time shipping… This is my order : Order summary Tynee stinger with explorer ESC. AT wheels. TKP truck × 1 $999.00
@@scottdaviesyoutubeYoo Scotty! I appreciate your review on this board. I chose it over anything on the market right now. I absolutely love this board and the way it feels. I see what you meant when you said it will make you a better rider. This board has evolved my passion for electric skateboarding. The carving on this thing is so much fun and I can’t believe how much power and battery capacity it has. It is a masterpiece!
Have you done range tests? I've seen such a varying degree and would like one closer to reality. I understand there are so many aspects that affect range, but what are your experiences. Lower end and higher end of your rides?
@@silascybin I ride on speed mode 4 a lot and get it up to 25-29 mph. From my rides I get about 19-22 miles of range until the battery gets below 10% I ride my mini 3 pro the same way and only get about 12 miles. Not sure if it’s because the belts are tight but that’s the numbers I’ve been getting from my rides. Also I weigh 160 pounds and sometimes carry a 15 pound backpack.
@@rafaelvega59 that's so interesting and even more perplexing to me because I've been getting about 18 miles in my tests of my mini 3 pro. I ride on turbo (all aspects maxed), I cruise around 20 mph with aggressive acceleration and times of top speed (35mph for my set up). I did loosen the belt tightness and switched the hydros for 105 backfire wheels (backfire are my favorite wheels for my Tynees), I did so because I didn't like the feel of the hydros (less comfortable, duller ride feel, less stable at speed, and (tho I didn't do a proper range test with them) seemed to burn the battery down quicker). I plan on doing a "range mode" test and a "full out" (top speed throughout ride) test soon. (Waiting for good weather. All my tests have been done with 40 degree weather, which you'd think would lessen the mileage). I guess I'll have to get a Stinger in order to really know how it works out with my conditions. I appreciate your quick response! Last question if you're willing, how do you feel about the stinger in comparison to the mini 3 pro? Can you briefly compare/share your thoughts.
Can you use the kicktail to raise the front wheels over bumps and such, without hitting the motors on the ground? Compared to the Mini 3 Pro? (I've had the Mini 2 for a little over a year, and have been able to without much damage)
Yeah the why that board is set up with those dkp trucks and them softy's bearings. Got this deck looking slippery out there :) Your a great presenter out on them boards. Your like our closest top gear like presenter. Making it look good. Thanks for the video.Peace
i have a propel endeavour 2 pro... (i love it).... i wonder how the acceleration/climbing ability of the stinger is compared to the endeavour? just for me too compare the power....
