Well Palki has remained superficial & on the surface of the issue!! In India, religion plays a major part due to poverty and lack of material possession. Basic needs are limited to the access to common man. Poverty makes people to seek after God due to uncertainty. Completely disagree that this a trend in the UK that we should not wish upon India. The ability of British youth to express their spirituality in their own way or leave religions shows liberation from oppressive institutions. And spending lots of time with that demographic in the UK-it’s clear there is no reduction in morality and empathy - if anything there is more compassion towards those who are different.

I am Indian and I am non religious for the most part. For me the existence of of God is at most questionable. I don't have any faith and England gets it.
