Remember when you bought a game, and it was just a game. No season passes, no updates every month to bring content or fixes that should have come with the game originally. No gold, platinum, or diamond editions, just so you could play it before someone else who didn’t want to fork out more money…Sure do miss the good ole days.
I also remember going to the store to buy expansion sets. Same difference as what they're doing here with the season pass. Oh, and playing PC games in the 90s, there were updates! Consoles are computers now. It's as simple as that. Your nostalgia just hasn't pieced together the larger jigsaw. Ah, oh well.
I spent way too long deciding between the editions and this video ultimately got me to subscribe to them for the month (@$20), then I can always come back and buy the game later on sale. Most of the time when season pass content comes out, I’m not even thinking about the game still (Mortal Kombat comes to mind most recently). Thanks for the video, good stuff!
I have been a massive Star Wars fan for the last 35 years. I've been in through the highs and lows, watching the shows, movies, and playing 95% of the games over that time span. I absolutely ADORE Star Wars Outlaws. It is an AMAZING game, and Ubisoft deserves some respect for the amount of time, effort, and love they threw into this game. What an amazing experience!!!
I checked yesterday and couldn’t see this game on Ubisoft plus, although I think I was looking at the classics page. Wasn’t sure which version to buy, but thanks to you, I can save £100+ and hopefully play on Xbox and PlayStation.
Are you looking on the PC or PS5/Xbox? The console version of UB+ doesn't have the newest games on it and works more like PS+ game collection with an older category of games.
@@entrydenied I was actually looking on PlayStation originally, which I now know is the older titles, although I have bought all of the ones I play. I found the game on Ubisoft + on Xbox, may buy on PS if/when it goes on sale. Just started playing now, after wanting to platinum the last game I was playing first. Still on the tutorial levels, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’m calling it assassin’s creed in space.
The fact Ubisoft is asking this much for a game that may offer 20-40 hours of gameplay at best is just ridiculous. To put this into perspective, for the 70 dollar price of Outlaws base game, you could buy the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Deluxe Edition, a game from 2018 that has very similar graphics quality, fun gameplay, and a grind that feels fulfilling. Plus, you can sink 100s of hours into it based on my personal experience. But that's just my 2 cents.
