If they nerf it, I hope they nerf it slightly (for example increase the price to 1400-1500$ would be fair in my opinion). They could reduce the cost of Famas/M4 by 100$, too. Then you would have to think twice about buying an UMP instead of an Famas or saving for an M4 with Nades next round.

Prins van Oranje In that case, the price of every other gun would fall proportionately. If a gun was made so OP that it made the ak and m4 obsolete, any raise in price of that gun would be met with a decrease in ak and m4 price decrease.
Gunther because you shouldnt fire it on long or medium range... its for close quarters, like dust 2 holding a corner at a door.. then its really deadly,better than rifles and smgs
the last sentence is the funniest fact. I think i will try out the "no eco strategy" with my team. Imagine if you have 2000-2500$ and you obviously want to eco. Why not buy an ump, 650$ kevlar and a bunch of nades? The chances of winning are almost as high as with normal rifles.
+kvmlsky Literally no-one says that unless it's in match-making or casual servers.. Plus, it's only better in the sense of armor penetration and accurate range (and that's only because of the scope, making it slower than just using an AK), the reload time is slower, the movement speed is slower and the base damage is less.
Is it just me or does youtube fuck up crosshairs at ≤ 480p? They seem to stick and i don't know why they dont have a system to figure out what the crosshair looks like and make it a static image (along with other near constant on screen things) Would this work/be possible?

In real life, the UMP 45 has a larger caliber (45 cal) in comparison to other SMGs (9mm or 40 cal). If the UMP 45 is the only 45 cal SMG in the game, then it's superiority is reasonable.
CS Go does not even care about realism a 9mm (g18) does less damage than a 9mm(p250), which does less damage than another 9mm(tec9), which does more damage than a 5.56
the problem might be that dust 2 does not have such flaws as those 2 had. Sure, it can be improved. For example, bring back the wooden doors, except mid since it would be OP for Ts.
dust2 is one of the most balanced maps , any slight changes might destroy the map. like for example an alternative way to enter ct spawn. Do you know this little door at the wall when you jump down from short to ct spawn? there used to be a room in css . there was even a ladder on upper mid ( the little corner left after suicide ) which lead to a room like on cobblestone this camping spot but only 1 way up and down lol. changes like this will destroy the map
Either just raise the price of the UMP or buff all other SMGs. Don't nerf an entire weapon class. The only heavy class weapon we ever see is the Mag-7, which is totally hit or miss, and we only ever see 3 rifles normally with an occasional fourth. Why can't we get more viable guns to spice things up?
Because there are way to little guns in cs go to choose from that are also good, there are either buy, echo or shit guns, this is mostly because of the economy sistem, its not like call of duty or battlefield where there is a shit tons of guns and you can choose from them anytime, which makes the players focus more in the more effective weapons
The game is already painfully restrictive and nearly impossible to get into, you'd think valve would want to make changes so new players would actually want to get into csgo. Instead, every change to this game has done nothing but make it harder or more restrictive. At this point they may as well remove the entire class of SMGs and heavy weapons instead of beating around the bush.
Matt DuGuay smg and heavy are great for echo, if they wont be, the pistol round will determinate the entire match, as there will not be an easier way to make a lot of money in the game.
Pistol round already guarantees who wins the first 2-3 rounds, so it isn't like that's an issue. Not to mention SMGs as they are are only good against people with on armor or who cannot fight back. All the SMGs in the game are beyond useless, so valve should either buff them or remove them entirely.
@@irunasoft i played it some time ago. you can prob run it on a low end pc. i got a 2080 and i7 with 8 gigs of ram and got around 200-300 fps without vsync on medium to high settings. you'll prob get a good 60+ on medium on a low end pc. i like it but since i'm kind of leaving fps games behind i dont think i can really detail to you what it's like playing it.
I don't play CS:GO, but I would have been using the UMP-45 from the very beginning. It has been my favourite SMG since MW2, and thanks to it I become very good at CQB, while before I was only a decent sniper, and I use it in every shooter I play. I love the type of analysis you do. RU-vid is full of easy gameplay videos.
Sm00th TV the auto snipers could use a bit of a boost, and with the sawed off, but all the other shotguns are insane still. On my smurf, I out sniped an awp long with my nova. The novas range and power are both insane, the xm has crazy range, and the mag is just an all around pretty solid shotty

UMP doesn't seem that OP to me. I could see it getting a little more expensive, but then again I like the fact it's cheap, throwing off CTs. I prefer the MAC-10 over all other SMGs though

Kettle Ak is OP though. Compared to what galil or mp7 or p90 or a negev offers for their price, ak is op. But you cant balance all weapons. This is counter strike not battlefield, ak has to be op.
Who called it overpowered? He asked a question, then stated facts, he never once said "This gun is overpowered.", also the SMGs were /always/ about "run-and-gun", all the way back to 1.6, they just made it more viable, which I personally don't like.
@@neppu02 Not by a lot, but it now has damage drop off at shorter ranges so you can't duel someone who has an AK at mid-to long ranges and actually do similar damage. UMP is still a good SMG tho.
@@neppu02 Like standard SMG range. So I'd say to get the most out of it, places like B site Mirage, rushing Tunnels on Dust 2. It still can do some mid range fights, but it gets too risky when playing higher in the ranks.
I knew this was coming. The UMP has been in my buy binds from 2016, I consider myself a true pioneer. On a serious note, the lack of ecos and increased number of partial buys must be because of the loss bonus update, right? I feel like an 1800 price tag would be fair as now you need 3 kills to get your money back and if you are low on money you cant just choose the best weapon you'd be forced to use a less optimal smg
I'm not into CSGO a lot but I like your videos regardless. I do wonder though why does everything popular that's cheaper than an AK or M4 has to be nerfed/be imbalanced? Is rifling the whole end goal of CSGO?

I propose a 1500$ price tag, 450$ kill reward, drastically increased first shot precision and tighter burst potential with a more complex (mostly horizontal) and scattered spray pattern. Also, no run'n'gun. Running accuracy and precision are in line with "proper rifles".
I've used UMP over say M4 or AK many many times in the last year simply because it gives you more movespeed and you keep the accuracy, while in close quarters it feels to be as effective on firepower than a rifle would be. Then again bizon is not really valued either, but I can still win many rifle battles with it if the ranges are close because of the mobility. I'm glad proplayers have finally noticed UMP is good because of the mobility it gives (just like fiveseven) but still packs a punch to frag that one clumsy rifle opponent.
Been using it forever b/c I always felt it was more like a rifle with an easy spray pattern and lower average damage. Now that I see the stats it makes sense.
ive loved using the ump over ANY gun, not counting the awp or scout for a couple of years now, its always been my favorite weapon :) Spray and pray shes 18 ;D
Doesn't make much sense that the UMP-45 is considered better against armor vs. the P90, which was created to counter armor, as it is a PDW, rather than an SMG.
45. Auto is an absolute manstopper if you dont have armor. The bullet is big and heavy. That means that the muzzle velocity is small at about 300 meters a second( subsonic) so any armor will stop it with ease. But did i say that its heavy? That means that it doesnt slow down too fast in flight. The damage and energy drop off is too big in cs. The ump should be high damage extremely low penetration high stoppingpower low dropoff weapon.
Not sure if people will hate this but i usually buy almost every round (unless my team is OK and i can buy rifles and nades) UMP-45 + Kevlar and a flash or a granade, or smoke + f./incendiary g/g. so i get a lot of money and + the win or lose of the round ill sill end up whit a lot of money, enough to drop good guns or more UMP's to the team when they dont have money So basically im the bank of the team or a piggy full of money for my team. (and also buying UMP's makes my corpse less important, since the enemies will have submachineguns to only rush they wont use my UMP... oh and btw, this works at least in Silver because everyone is terrible and having a 1200$ rifle is really good to spray a noob whit that gun and then steal an ak/m4)
