If a bully's friend held his coat while the bully kicked you, how much is the bully' s coat holder an honest broker in stopping the bullying? US is clearly not an honest broker in this dispute.
The more pertinent question: "Is DW working as a neutral news outlet in reporting on the Gaza cease-fire negotiations?" If in doubt, read DW's code of conduct from September 2022. It requires that its staff should give maximum leniency and benefit of the doubt to Israel.
@@dustintacohands1107 This is German state media though, Germany is weird about Israel. Meanwhile Norwegian state media quoting Norwegian Foreign Minister: "Eide [FM] points out that USA must put pressure on Israel for a ceasefire to take place. "Right now it seems like it is the Netanyahu-government that is withholding and is actually adding new demands, which their own negotiators say are impossible to get accept for. But overall, both Israel and Hamas have a responsability to succeed""
US has a conflict of interest and so should not be mediating. US is just as involved in the killing/maiming/destruction in Gaza as Israel and so is extremely biased toward Israel. Hamas agreed with the May ceasefire deal but Israel did not and still has not.
"Is the US taking sides or working as a neutral arbiter in the Gaza cease-fire negotiations?" common sense No ceasefire until release of hostages. Sinwar must surrender. Oct 7 has consequences.
This wouldn’t have happend ,Palestinian lives wont hve blown up so much if Qatar ,turkey ,Malaysia have sided properly with Palestine same way America had taken its side
I mean I guess they are kind of neutral in the sense that they are supplying both sides with weapons. Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know they never stopped weapon shipments to the middle east, did they?
The US is losing steam, the writing is on the wall. If Israel make peace with the people of the land, they'll have a chance at keeping their country beyond a few decades give or take.
@DW - here is the thing - the US doesn't need to support a cease-fire deal in any way. Why would they need to - neutral or taking sides? By the Egypt is part of the negotiations as well - neutral or taking sides? Ever heard of critical thinking journalists - neutral or taking sides?
The US isn't trying to be neutral in this matter. They want to stop the fighting and will use pressure and incentives ON BOTH SIDES to get the parties to stop.
shame on germany and dw, hamas who carried out oct 7 terr attacks, but not mentioning that israel who has been carrying terr attacks since oct 7 and hasn't stopped shame on the west, these are the values you talk about
@@luqmanibrahim Exactly, they should be given back the lands that belonged to them in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and, for the most part, Jordan.
Is US taking sides or working as Neutral Arbiter is a SILLY QUESTION to ask. Even a blind can sense that US is more aggressive and against peace rather than Netanyahu in the area. US just can’t be trusted as peace broker any where in the World. The honest peace brokers can be no other than Chinese.
